Chapter 7: Chapter 7

When Jayden and Enoch got home he felt horrible. He just ruined Alyce's wedding. What was he thinking? THOSE WERE HIS PARENTS! He started thinking about the brutal punishments they would inflict, how they could easily ruin his life. They were the CEOs of O'Connor books, a multi million dollar publishing company which he happened to work at. Enoch went into the guest bedroom and locked the door almost immediately.

MEANWHILE:

Jayden slept alone in his bed tossing and turning feeling so guilty. The next morning Jayden woke up and Enoch was still in the guest bedroom. Jayden ordered a giant breakfast and ate all of it. He just lay there on the couch afterwards.

1 HOUR LATER:

Jayden finally decided to stop lazing on the couch and do something. He got up but there was a knock on the door. Jayden answered it and Tom was there. "Oh hey Tom" Jayden said. "Hey Jayden. Where's Enoch?" Tom asked. "He's in the guest bedroom. He locked himself in after the wedding and still hasn't come out. I'm kind of worried." Jayden replied. "Oh well do you want to talk or do you want me to leave you alone now?" Tom said. "You can stay" Jayden said politely letting Tom inside. They sat on the couch. "I'm sorry about the wedding by the way. It's my fault"  Jayden said. "It's not your fault. My parents are just rich snobby bitches" Tom said. "I guess so but I just feel guilty about it." Jayden said. "Also is it rude if I say this but I was kinda surprised by how you looked at the wedding" Tom said. "It's not rude at all. I've been trying to lose it but I think... I shouldn't say Enoch would be so embarrassed." Jayden said awkwardly. "Well I should be leaving now." Tom said. "Wait. Can you apologise to Alyce for me?" Jayden said as Tom was leaving. "Sure" Tom said. "Thanks" Jayden replied.

A FEW HOURS LATER:

Jayden had been watching crappy tv all day and realised it was 6:00. So he ordered some McDonald's. He knocked on Enoch's door and heard it unlock. He opened it and put a burger on the bedside table. "You need to eat." Jayden said. He only heard sniffles and mumbles from deep within a curled up ball of blankets. He left and heard the door lock. He went to bed but could barely sleep at all.
