HI IM BACK, I didn't forget, but I am sick again /: it's oki tho. I'm used to it. Catching up of my work and trying to heal has been a challenge but I'm here. This chapter is going to be more Colby centered, I don't think I will be doing POV's but I will focus more on Colby.
Also, I'm not going to describe the video, at least not this one. Cause I don't have the time for that, lmao.

Why. That was the only thing going trough Colby's mind. The past week he had been dying inside, these feelings he didn't understand.
Colby never thought he was particularly straight. He always had odd feelings, butterflies, and increased heart rate, when he saw an attractive man. But that was everyone's reaction. Right?
It only really started to freak Colby out when he started to think that about Sam, his best friend, his everything. He had saw Sam in a shirt, slightly damp from exiting the shower minutes earlier. He saw Sam in ripped skinny jeans. But these were things he had seen before. So when his heart rate accelerated and his cheeks flushed, he pushed those thoughts away.
Sam and Colby were just friends no matter the shippers, they were platonic capital P. And Colby unknowingly hated it.
That's why he had been pissed on the way to Indiana. He thought if he were to ignore Sam the feelings would go away. It didn't work. (No shit.)
So now, Colby was laying down in their hotel room, after filming in the asylum. Sam was out getting food with Jake and Johnnie, but Colby couldn't get his mind off of Sam. No matter how hard he tried.
Now it wasn't like Sam was in a relationship; Sam and Kat had broken up months earlier, because she wanted to settle down and have a family, and Sam wasn't ready for that yet. But that didn't make Colby feel any better.
That is my best friend, that's weird, I'm not gay.... I mean I'm not technically straight-
Before he could think anymore, he heard the click of the hotel room door.
A voice Colby wasn't expecting 'Hey Colby!" Jake was standing in the door way smiling. His smile dropped as soon as he saw Colby's puzzled face.
"What's up dude, you look deep in thought?"
Colby shook his head and sat up, "Nothing. I mean... Jake, have you ever weird... towards someone?" Colby didn't know how else to out it. Jake looked at him as if he had spoken a foreign language.
"What I mean is, I know you don't care about this shit, but ... I don't know if I'm straight." Colby rushed out, the last words more of a whisper. But Colby could tell he heard him, as Jake's eyes widened and he looked shocked.
"That is not what I thought you were going to say." Colby shut his eyes out of fear of rejection and hatred, but there was no other words.
Colby blinked open his eyes to see Jake sitting on the bed cracking a grin. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Colby asked, embarrassed and anxious.
"I just never thought you would feel comfortable talking about things like this. Like, love I mean." Jake said, smiling softly at Colby. "To answer your question, no, I haven't felt 'a certain way'Â for one of my friends." He watched as Colby's face scrunched into a frown.
"That doesn't necessarily mean you are gay, you could feel a lot of love for someone, but it could be purely platonic." Jake said, he then sighed before continuing, "But even if it isn't, I still love you Colby, you idiot. I could never hate you. I think you should I dunno' 'experiment'Â for lack of a better word. Get closer to this friend, start flirting or something."
Colby turned a light shade of pink, thinking of his and Sams banter already. "Just try and figure out your feelings, before you do anything. And I'm always here to talk if you need anything at all."
Colby extended his arms for a hug and Jake gladly embraced him. They stayed there a bit before they heard the door click again.
"Uhm... hi?" Sam said walking in with leftovers and looking oddly guilty and slightly jealous. Colby didn't know, he just had a look on his face. Jake turned around and grinned even bigger.
"Sam! Sorry me and Colby were just having a heart to heart." Jake seemed much more bubbly after his friend had confided in him. He felt needed and loved. Not that he didn't feel that before, it was just stronger now.
"I could see that." Sam chuckled, putting his leftover bag on the desk in the corner of the hotel room. He then laid down next to Colby and stretched, nearly knocking Colby off the bed.
"SAM!" Colby squealed, rolling off the bed onto the ugly patterned hotel carpet. (Why are the always ugly tho, fr) He smiled up at Sam, gaining one back. It made his heart flutter, but after him and Jakes conversation he was convinced it was just a platonic feeling. (Oh hunny)
They laughed a bit, before the door burst open. "Jesus Christ Samuel, you didn't have to run!" Johnnie came into the room wheezing, hands on his knees, looking like he had just run a marathon. "I get it you wanted to see Colby, but jeez."
"To be fair you are the one that offered to race." Sam said as a-matter-of-fact.
"I didn't think you be like an athlete!"
"He's a band kid, what can I say, we've got lungs." Colby laughed, the two of them turning their heads, Sam smiling.
After a while of talking and rewatching the videos, they sent it off the be edited and headed off to their own rooms, leaving Sam and Colby alone on their bed. "Good night Colby." Sam muttered, turning away from his best friend.
"Goodnight Sam." Colby said contently.
~
"I love you."
Colby was calling Sam from his room. The warm cellphone held to his ear and he heard the others harsh breathing. Something had happened, a fight. But Colby couldn't think, he just kept hearing ringing.
"What the fuck Colby, I'm not gay! That's wrong. I can't believe you like me. We can't be friends anymore." Sam's voice was thick and angry as he screamed through the other end of the phone.
"But Sam! Not like that-" Colby had started sobbing.
"Shut up! I can't do this right now Cole." His voice stiffing in, making Colby freeze with his real name. "I think it would be better if we didn't talk for a while."
"Sam!" Colby screamed, but Sam had hung up. He was just trapped the surrounding area vanishing him into a black box.
His body seemed to slip and he fell backwards, falling into the darkness. His ears were ringing, and he felt weightless.
He felt himself hit the ground. But it was a soft landing. He landed on a hill, in the tall grass. It seemed like a memory from Kansas. So real. Sam materialized walking towards Colby arm outstretched.
Colby grabbed Sam's arm, and a wave of pain and shock ran through his arm and up to his brain.
