HEE HEE Last chapterrrrr (might do holiday chapters, special chapters, and I'll continue writing, but yk) this is a Valentine's Day special (ye ye i know that was like a month ago shut uppp)

Sam woke up to some rustling next to him. He rubbed his eyes lightly and turned to face the other side of the bed. He opened his eyes to see Colby struggling to pull some socks on in the dark. He seemed to be trying to be quiet, but he was struggling profusely.
"Shit!" He mumbled finally getting the sock on his foot and turning back to look at Sam. "Ah!" He shouted seeing the blonde's eyes open. "What are you doing up!" Colby whispered at the smiling boy in front of him.
"Whatever, go back to sleep dummy!" Colby chuckled shoving a pillow over Sam's face. And grabbing a sweatshirt from the end of the bed. He smiled before exiting the room and closing the door door behind him.
Sam and Colby had been dating for a few months. It had been great. And horrible.
They went through ups and downs, like all couples do, except they had it worse because their life was in front of a camera. It was hard for them, but they got through it, together.
They continued to make videos, going to scary places, hanging with their friends, it was maybe October when they decided to come clean to their families and friends about their relationship. I mean it was hard hiding it from the people closest to them, but they didn't want anything bad to happen.
The first person they told was Jake, he handled just like this :
"Jake... we're dating." Sam spoke, still feeling weird at that word after his past relationship. Colby laughed at Sam's awkwardness.
"I fucking knew it! I told Tara and she laughed it off, but noooo, anyways Jake is always right!" He smiled proudly, pretty much ignoring them coming out.
He eventually congratulated them and called Tara so the two could confess and he could rub it in Tara's face that he was right. She reacted very sweetly, congratulating the two and arguing back with Jake.
Then were Sam's siblings, they both we happy for them, his sister knowing there had always been something there. His brother just happy he got over Kat. They both agreed that it would be best to give hints to his parents because they might be too shocked at first.
So they did. They dropped hints every time Sam called them, which was become increasingly more frequent at he got more frantic to tell them. He finally couldn't wait any longer and told them about him liking guys and dating Colby.
They didn't have much of a reaction at first, just shocked at how much information that had to take in. And finally they spoke up, explaining how they love him unconditionally and that it would be weird and a bit of a change, but they knewColby was a nice kid and that they trusted them
The brunette also came out to his parents around the same time, they had a similar reaction, more hesitant, but accepting in the end and all.
The real problem got to telling their fans. Obviously their fans were used to the flirting here and there, maybe a close moment between the two, but dating? That was a whole different thing! Would it affect how they handled videos, their dynamic, their fans idea of them.
They didn't know, but they did it anyway. In early December they started an instagram live stream, holding hands under the table, hoping everything went well. They started off by plugging their new merch and talking about video plans and future breaks.
Eventually they got to the point. "Guys, we started this livestream because we have something important to tell you." Colby spoke, leading the way and bringing their hands up to camera view. Some people guessed in milliseconds. Immediately spamming 'solby'.
But Colby continued nonetheless, "I see a few of you have caught on... well, happy holidays, me and Sam... we're dating."
Sam laughed softly and looked endearingly at Colby. Something he had always done, accept it meant more now.
The chat exploded with love, support, happiness and one or two hate comments, but they were ignored. The two boys explained their content would be the same, with some closeness, maybe pet names, a kiss or two, but still paranormal based.
That was how they came out to everyone and over two months later they were happier than ever.
Sam woke up that day extremely skeptical of what Colby was doing. Colby never got up early on Friday's, he never got up early on any day, at least not that early. It was about 5am. So the blonde was incredibly suspicious.
The most suspicious part of Colby's actions was the fact that it was Valentine's Day, their first Valentine's Day as a couple. And Sam knew Colby would go all out. He usually did.
Sam turned to his bedside table and grabbed his phone, unlocking it and scrolling through TikTok. Liking and reposting a few videos before looking at the clock and noticing it was already 7am.
He knew he couldn't stay in bed all day, so he got out of bed and found some boxers to put on. Shuffling around the dim room to find something to wear. He settled on some baggy pants and an oversized shirt, probably one of Colby's.
He texted Colby he'd be out after brushing his teeth, just so Colby knew what to expect.
He didn't get a response, but Colby had read it so he continued to brush his teeth. He finally got done, situated his hair nicely, splashed some water in his face and grabbed his phone. He creeped towards the door putting his hand on the knob.
The blonde opened the door, not even a second after he did so, Sam saw rose petals on the ground leading around the house. They led all the way down the stairs. As Sam followed them he got increasingly more worried at the Clancy sounds he heard from the kitchen.
When he finally reached the end of the staircase he followed even more rose petals to the living room, where there were some pillows and a few blankets laid out of the ground and chairs. He smiled, looking at the candles nearby, Sam's favorite scent. The pillows were Sam's favorite as well.
"Hey you." Colby spoke softly, spooking Sam a bit. He snaked (that's such a weird phrase, stupid English)Â his arms around the shorter boy, giving him a kiss on the cheek and a smile.
"Hey Cole." Sam sniffed, smiling back at the brunette.
Colby paused at the name. While it was his legal name, Sam hadn't said it in forever, and it sounded just like... the dream. The dreams he had stopped having a while ago. The nightmares that haunted the dark. The thoughts he couldn't speak.
It shocked him. But he felt this odd sense of warmth envelope his chest as he saw Sam's face again, his blue eyes staring back it him with worry.
"You okay babes?" Sam asked, pulling slightly away from Colby to face his body towards him.
"Couldn't be better." Colby spoke, smiling tenderly down at the blonde, cupping his check, kissing him quickly and leading him to the kitchen.
The kitchen was in fact a mess, full of pots and pans. There was some sort of batter that covered the many utensils scattered across the counter. But there was one area, squeaky clean, with a tall stack of fluffy pancakes and a rose next to it.
"I couldn't find your favorite flower, but roses are romantic right?" Colby laughed awkwardly as Sam smiled at him and grabbed the plate.
"It looks incredible! Thank you so much! I love you."
Oh.
Sam hadn't said it before. I mean before they were dating sure. And when they got together, yeah. But past that they hadn't said it. Colby sat there shocked.
Sam didn't notice and dug into the pancakes not understanding the depths of his words.
But Colby smiled, silently agreeing with Sam's previous words. He watched in satisfaction as Sam gulped down the pancakes with a grin on his face.
"I love you too."
It was acceptance, happiness, and love. It was perfect. And so was the rest of the day, filed with chocolates, kisses, cuddles, movies, you know typical Valentine's Day stuff. It was simple, but over the to-, perfect in every way. It was them.
And it wasn't just a ship anymore.
It was love. True love.

Did I cook? I know not my longest chapter and I know it took forever for me to drop it! I know! I know! But I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless.
I love this book, I might at a few extra chapters in the future idk, but give me ideas for a new book. It can be a spin off of this one, and whole new idea, new people, new place, whatever, I'm good with anything!
