After the intense battle and a desperate escape, Huang Di knew he needed a plan to shake off his pursuers. The technique One with Sound had been effective, but its Qi consumption was far too high to sustain for long. In just a few seconds of use, it had drained 30% of his Qi, and a prolonged battle could leave him in a critical state. He needed a quick and effective solution.

As he ran, he weighed his options. The first was to discard the return amulet, but the idea unsettled him. That amulet was his only guarantee of returning to his world—losing, it would mean being trapped in the Small Dimensional World for a century. Still, he knew that if he didn’t get rid of it, his enemies could easily track him.

A few kilometers away, Ye Jue was venting his fury on his subordinates.

"You idiots!" he roared, his voice echoing through the clearing. "How did you let him escape? You made me look like a fool in front of that worm!"

His servants stood silently, heads bowed low.

"Zero One," he called, turning to the Ye Clan’s tracker—a man with a cold and calculating demeanor. "What’s the update on the tracking?"

Zero One, expressionless, replied, "Young master, he appears to still be on the move. It doesn’t seem like he’s discarded the amulet."

Hearing that, Ye Jue gave a cold smile.

"Hmph, looks like you dogs have one last chance to be useful. Go and bring me his corpse. Don’t return without it."

The four servants, heads even lower now, nodded silently and set off with Zero One. Ye Jue remained behind with a few others, some of them cultivators at the Earth Rank. With that kind of power, he was confident he could finally capture Huang Di and recover the return amulet.

With a resigned sigh, Huang Di knew he had to take the risk. He stopped in an isolated area, buried the amulet, and marked the spot with symbols from an ancient script few could read. He hoped it would be enough to fool his pursuers and that he could recover it when it was safe.

With a heavy heart but determined spirit, Huang Di resumed his escape. He ran for hours until, finally, he spotted a city in the distance. The sign at the gate read Boom House, and he knew he needed a place to rest and strategize.

Upon entering the city, Huang Di was immediately struck by its chaotic, vibrant energy. The streets were packed with people of all backgrounds, each with their own stories and agendas. He noticed many looked worn and exhausted, as if drained by some invisible force. Yet others seemed powerful and well-guarded, exuding an aura of authority that set them apart.

The city of Boom House was a place of stark contrasts. Its streets bustled with merchants hawking everything from mundane mortal items to rare treasures worth small fortunes. The cultural diversity was astounding—some wore plain clothes; others dressed in exotic and flamboyant styles.

As he walked through the main street, a bulletin board caught his attention. Two posters stood out. The first displayed a blonde woman with a six-tailed fox, whom he immediately recognized as the mysterious blonde demoness. The poster offered a generous reward for any information about her whereabouts. The second promised a similar reward for two Rank 5 beast hearts, the exact same hearts Huang Di had taken.

Huang Di narrowed his eyes.

"So, she’s here too," he thought, recalling the enigmatic woman he had seen at the Golden Crane Sect.

He knew he had to tread carefully. Her presence—and the bounty on her—could complicate his situation even further.

Determined to gather more information, Huang Di entered a noisy, crowded place where people from all over gathered to share stories and news. He chose a quiet corner and ordered a drink, listening intently to the chatter around him. He needed intel—on the city, on the demoness, and most importantly, on how to evade his trackers.

As the conversations swirled around him, a plan began to take shape in his mind. He knew time was short. Ye Jue and his men would be on his trail again soon.

With a confident smile, Huang Di resolved that no matter what the obstacles, he would find a way to survive—and thrive—in the city of Boom House.
