Sanyukta was still sitting in the car without a word, nostrils flared up and lips pouting.
"Someone's angry" Randhir stated, eyes on the road.
No sh*t Sherlock ! Sanyukta rolled her eyes. Some people had this really annoying habits of stating the obvious. Like you know when you enter a restaurant with your friend and the waiter asks "table for two ?"... and you are like : oh no don't bother, we made the trip all the way here to eat on the ground, ...carpet for two please !!! ...Drepressing.
"Come on darling, we just came out alive from a critical mission, you seriously gonna spoil the mood ?" asked Randhir putting a hand on her thigh, slowly rubbing it.
Sanyukta scoffed, her mind stuck between two contradicting emotions : Remove that hand before I chop it with a nail cutter ...and Please, please, please don't stop. ...Selfish pleasure won at the and.
Hearing no reply from her, Randhir glanced at her. Her focus was solely directed on what was happening on the other side of the window, refusing to look his way... shutting him out. Randhir didn't like that, he didn't like it one bit.
In an attempt to break her silent treatment and make her look his way, he slid his hand higher on her thigh. The intake of breath that followed his actions didn't go unnoticed by Randhir who smirked internally. ...No matter what, she could never deny the effect of his touch.
But still no response.
So she wanted to play... thought Randhir. Okey.
His hand moved higher caressing her flesh. He was now just inches away from her womanhood.
Sanyukta's head instantly turned towards Randhir. "What do you think you are doing ?" she seethed.
She took Randhir's wrist in her hand and moved it away from her sensitive skin. As she was about to drop it to his side, Randhir twisted their hands so that Sanyukta's hand was now in Randhir's firm grip, successfully switching the roles.
"You...!!!" Sanyukta whisper-yelled.
"Yes darling ?" Randhir chuckled.
"Leave me !" She seethed in anger.
"No love, ...And before you attempt anything stupid love, let me tell that you that you can't get out of it... unless I decide so."
"Leave it you overgrown monkey" sanyukta angrily repeated.
"Aaahh... it had been a while I hadn't heard of your beloved monkey, how as he been ?" He chuckled, mocking her.
"Randhir if you don't leave my hand this instant, I swear... not only you will you hear about him but you will also be acting like one when I'll be finished with you !" Threatened Sanyukta.
Randhir loudly laughed at that. Good one !
"Well may be if you asked nicely..." Randhir said in amusement.
"LEAVE IT, i said !!!" Sanyukta tried to free herself twisting her hand in each directions.
"That is not really nice love, i'll give you another chance : may be if you ask nicely and give me a kiss, I might consider letting you go..." he told her, adding a penalty to is previous request.
"What ?!!" Sanyukta screeched. "Like hell !" she started shaking herself vigourously. I am sure you have you all see a dog drying itself... well currently she was looking like one. But even though she was looking like a dog at the moment, she couldn't act like one... dogs were rather... extreme when it came to handling situtations... their procedure went like that : If you can't eat it, hump it ! If you can't hump it... well piss on it and walk away ! As easy as that... No regrets, no tension. But obviously she, as a human being couldn't do that, eating another human being was cannibalism and was highly prohibited by the society... humping him was totally out of question, even though the law was flexible on that matter... as for pissing on him and walking away... well may be no law had looked into the subject but she was hundred percent positive it was highly frowned upon by the society... you didn't go around pissing on people ! ...She had no choice but to act like a human... like the weak little human that she was in the hand of that big ancient chimpanze.
"Your wish" Randhir shrugged in response.
"Why are we even arguing ?" asked a defeated Sanyukta. "Shouldn't we be concentrating on what happened and what's going to happen next ?" she added, realizing that their argument was pointless and they had way more important fact to tend to.
"Actually... you are right" admitted Randhir, leaving her hand. Childish games could wait, they had more critical matters to take care of.And with that thought in mind, his whole demeanour changed, gone was the playfulness he had demonstrated just seconds ago, instead cold, calculating eyes had emerged. Just looking at his clenched jaw, contracted vein and concentrated eyes, she could guess he was in deep thinking, she could almost vision the words, numbers, questions and answers flowing on his mind, planning, calculating, weighing each and every information.
"Do you remember the general map of his place ?" he asked her suddenly, stopping her in her analysis of him.
"Hum, uh...Yep " she replied positively.
"Well...Crowded entry..." she started. " ...as in big, bulky armed man, not malls-type of crowed" she clarified. " ...followed by a long corridor, at the end of which is a security check...humm two guards if I recall correctly... then an elevator secured by iris scan... on the second floor, there is an alley ending on another gate which is this time, secured by a control panel..." she enumerated what she remembered. "...and which password is saved in there by the way" she added, pointing to her brain.
"Hmmm" said Randhir confirming her map. "Did you notice the two other doors on the first floor, on my right ?" he inquired further.
"Yeah, and there was another one on the second floor on my left" she completed him.
Randhir looked at her from the corner of his eyes, he hadn't expected her to pay attention to their surroundings that much, to be honest, he was surprised at how accurately she had registered everything in her mind. ... But then again, he should not forget who she was, she was Faclon after all... but in his defense, looking at this delicate piece of woman it was a mistakes many had probably made before him... he concluded. If he had any doubt left concerning her capability in his world, it was now almost erased. He had finally come to acknowledge the fact that her methods, even though quite unusual...if not completely crazy, always met their purpose ...and that was counted in the end.
"Right" he said.
"We saw about twenty men... and considering the fact that we haven't visited the whole place and that some might have been out or on missions, we can increase their number to 50" estimated Randhir, eyes on the road.
"Right" said Sanyukta, agreeing with his calcul.
"That's a lot" added Sanyukta, after a moment of silence.
"Hmmm" said Randhir neutral, not refuting nor accepting her concerns.
"Look I know you guys are some kind of mass destructions machines but 50 men against 5" she paused "...scratch that, make it 4.5 because obviously I can't be counted as a whole when it is question of killing..." she clarified. "... actually make it 4.25...4.5 is a bit ambitious for a newbie, one has to be realistic..." she rambled, making Randhir chuckle.
"Whatever..." she said blushing. "Point is, 4.25 against 50 is a big NO Randhir, we may come victorious out of it, but we may not remain 4.25... may be only 3 will be left...or 2... or 0.5 !" she exclaimed at end.
"It is a suicide mission !" she concluded defeated.
Randhir sighed, she was right, they may win but all of them may not come out alive... he didn't want to risk any of his team mates, they all had suffered enough.
"What do you suggest then ?" he asked for her opinion.
"We need 8 to 10 men" she told him.
Ranhdir frowned at her suggestion.
"I can only provide 2 to 4 man" replied Randhir.
"What ?! That's all ?! why ?!!... I thought you were some kind of big don in the market" she shouted.
"I am !" growled back Ranhdir, scwoling at her. "But we are talking here about finding qualified assassins, that could be fully trusted and who can make it on such short notice... which doesn't leave room for a lot" deadpanned Randhir.
"Oh... right" sheepishly replied Sanyukta. "Sooo...That would make about 8 against 50, that's still not enough." she sighed.
"Anything you could do ?" Randhir asked her. If a few days ago someone had asked him to take Sanyukta's opinion he would had laughed at them... but after seeing her in action, he no longer doubt her efficiency. He knew taking her opinion could be beneficial.
"I ? " Sanyukta looked at him surprised. "What can I do ?... it's not like I can make 2 assassins appear out of..." she halted in her sentence, a bulb illuminating itself in a corner of her mind. "...wait wait wait" she wailed. "But I can !!!" she asserted triumphal.
"What ?" frowned Randhir at her words.
"Well I might be able to call in reinforcement..." she trailed off.
"Excuse me ?.... You are trying to tell me that you know assassins that could help us ?" Randhir asked tacken aback by her words. Granted she was Falcon, but even that title could not explain how the hell she could have assassins at arm length. It was not the type of things that were to take lightly.
"Uh...well kind of..." vaguely replied Sanyukta.
"What do you mean kind of ?" asked an impatient Randhir.
"Well...i'll give you the details later with the gang" she told him not going into details. "But trust me...I have it covered" she looked at him showing him how serious she was. Dead serious. Pun intended.
Randhir looked at her for a might debating whether he should or should not press the matter. He opted for the latter. "Fine ! But you are going to tell me as soon as we reach the den" he said.
"Deal !" replied smiling at him, closing the subject.
"You are one weird package, you know ?" Randhir said taking a turn, they were almost at the den now.
"Look who's talking..." Sanyukta chuckled.
"I for one, am logic and constant in my personality... impressive, dangerous, aggressive, threatening." he described himself.
Sanyuka stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
"You on the other hand, are inconstant and fluctuating... one moment harmless and innocent, and the next second you turn into the devil's spawn concocting devious plans... you can be calm and composed and then as loud and noisy as storm and thunder... you are realistic and fact driven and yet sometime totally reckless... sometime quite and shy and sometime bold and daring... you have so many facades... " Randhir voiced his thoughts. She was perfect in so may ways. Her smile...her witty comebacks... her anger... her care... her class...her intellec...
"That's called having a colourful personality my dear" she replied proudly.
"Now that you mention it....Am such a wonderful person" she said dramatically.
Hey, wait a second, the turn the discussion was taking gave her a wonderful idea. It might no be the right moment to think about that... but then again they might never have that right moment after tomorrow... she thought sadly, knowing that there as a chance that they didn't come alive out of their next mission... so she was going to take the opportunity on the spot ! ...She had already guessed, romantic proposal on top of hill with a beautiful river was not her gangster's thing... Yet, she had to get him on the topic. They will have to get married at some point right ?... she better starts dropping hints now if she wanted anything done. Making up her mind, she went on her new mission : Make Randhir propose her.
"Am a really good match when you think about it" she said confidently, looking at Randhir from the corner of her eyes.
That sentence grabbed Randhir's attention as his looked at her blankly. A good match ?... Where did that come from ? He decided not to reply, she was probably provoking him.
"Anyone would want to be with me..." she added.
"Anyone, huh ?" he said through greeted teeth.
Ranhdir's jaw clenched at her words. Anyone ?... The discussion had taken a completely unexpected turn...what the hell was she trying to do here ? he wondered. A sudden urge to stop the car and show her that no one had the right on her except him consumed him.
"Yeahh...As you mentionned, am good looking, smart, funny..." she enumerated when Randhir cut her off.
"What are you trying to prove here, han?" Randhir asked, a hint of anger in his voice. Was she saying she was too good for him ? His hands on the steering wheel thightened as he entered in the den's gate.
Omg, thought Sanyukta. How dense could he be ?! she huffed. Here she was offering him the perfect opportunity to propose her, making the task easier for him ....and him ? what was he doing ? he was getting angry and going all possessive on her. Sanyukta face palmed herself. Like seriously, she was practically giving him free access to the wi-fi connection, all he had to do was click on the damn "connect" button... instead he was loosig his way into the settings panel....Sanyukta rolled her eyes. Men !
"Nothing, just stating the facts... but never mind" she muttered, slumping back in her seat defeated.
Ranhdir parked the car and turned off the engine.
"Every girls dream about her wedding and prince charming you know...just wondering about it is all" she attempted one last time before getting one of the car.
Randhir's bulb suddenly switched on... was really hinting at what he thought she was hinting at ? Ranhdir wondered, saying that he was taken by surprised was a huge understatement. Was he reading too much in the lines ? ...But what if she really wanted to ?... would she want to spend her entire life by his side ? he dared thinking. A warm feeling engulfed him.
Despite his current life and his deeds he knew that at some point in his life he would want that too. She made him happy, she made his life worth living. And those few carefree moments he had spent in Tara's company had been heavenly. Home, something he had missed in his life, he could have it back with Sanyukta... they could have their own children... Sanyukta would make a wonderful mother he knew it... the thought made him smile. He decided there and then that what's he wanted, he will do anything in his power to make it happen... but not now, now was not the right time. Once this Raghav mess is cleared he will propose her.
Until then he will have fun with her, now that he knew what she wanted, he smirked, getting out of the car.
They silently both entered in the house. Immediately they were met with three pair of hopeful eyes looking up at them. Vidushi, sahil and Parth were all sitting in the lounge, on their right two more persons were sitting, looking in their direction, judging by what they were holding these two were the journalists.
Sanyukta made eye contact with all of them, dragging the suspense on her way, before cheerfully announcing "Mission successful !"
