Few minutes after the explosion
"How could I think Tivan could contain whatever was within the orb?" Gamora scolded herself as her fist tightened around the orb.
They are on the way to the Milano after the explosions and Carina stuffs. But mostly what concerned others that (Y/N) got really bad injured and Gamora starting to blame it all on herself.
"What do you still have it for?" Rocket turned to look at Gamora and asked her.
All of them looked at Rocket with their eyebrows furrowed. Peter was a little bit struggle to move because of he's carrying (Y/N) in his arms.
"Well what are we gonna do, leave it in there?" Peter asked sarcastically at Rocket.
"IÂ can't believe you had that in your purse!" Rocket yelled to Peter.
Peter began to feel his rage burning inside of him, letting out the flames to spread all over his body.
"It's not a purse, it's a knapsack!" Peter yelled back to Rocket.
"We have to bring this to the Nova Corps. There's a chance they can contain it" Gamora butted into the conversation, trying to stop the fight but eventually didn't work.
"Are you kidding me? We're wanted by the Nova Corps! Just give it to Ronan!" Rocket said, making out an option.
"So he can destroy the galaxy?!" Peter scolded Rocket.
"What are you, some Saint all of a sudden? What has the galaxy ever done for you? Why would you wanna save it?" Rocket asked dumbly to Peter.
"BECAUSE I'M ONE OF THE IDIOTS WHO LIVES IN IT!" Peter yelled while stepped forwards towards the rodent.
(Y/N) was still unconcious in Peter 's arms. So it kinda hard for Peter to fight back.
"Peter, listen to me. We cannot allow the stone to fall into Ronan's hands. We have to go back to your ship and deliver it to Nova. We also need to heal (Y/N) ASAP! " Gamora ordered.
"Right, right, okay. I think you're right" Peter agreed and paused for a while. "Or we could give it to somebody who's not going to arrest us, who's really nice for a whole lot of money. I think it's a really good balance between both of your points of view"
"I-"
"Dishonorable. Faithless!" Gamora shouted at him.
Gamora turned around to walk away but stopped when she saw Ronan's ships were approaching Knowhere.
"Oh no..." she mumbled.
Then, all of them notices Drax who was holding his knives with both hands of his and standing in T position.
"At last! I shall meet my foe and destroy him!" Drax cheered.
"You called Ronan?!" Peter yelled in disbelief.
Just as Peter said that, Ronan's ships landed, Yondu and his men turn up to him and (Y/N).
Peter took a notice of this and began to walk away from Yondu with (Y/N) in his arms.
"Quill!! Don't you move, boy!!!" Yondu yelled from far.
Peter and Gamora soon made a run from it, further away from Yondu and Ronan.
"Don't you move!! Get out of the way!!" Yondu yelled as he started to chase after them.
At the same time, Ronan stepped off his ships as Drax waited inapateintly with his knives raised.
"Ronan the Accuser!!" Drax called out to him, ready for the combat that might happen.
"You are the one who transmitted the message?" Ronan asked in his deep voice.
"You killed my wife. You killed my daughter!" Drax exclaimed.
As Gamora and Peter were still running away, they found three small pods and decided to take a ride on it.
Rocket and Groot was with them because they taken a run with them too.
Rocket notices Groot and notices that he wanted to join also with Rocket.
"I told you, you can't fit. Now, wait here. I'll be back" Rocket said to Groot who's pouting. Rocket looked back at Groot after few seconds of thinking. "And don't forget to take care of (Y/N)"
Rocket then climbed up the pod and flew off, leaving Groot on the ground. Groot looked at (Y/N) who's laying on the ground, weakly.
Groot walked to her and protect her from any dangers that might caused.
Yondu then notices (Y/N) with Groot and not with Peter. He walked towards unconcious (Y/N) with his men followed behind.
Groot noticed and stand in in a combat pose.
"(Y/N)? Is that her?" Yondu asked Groot.
Groot looked deeply at him and moved away since he figured that Yondu knew her. Yondu approached the woman and inspectedcrazily. He took a notice on her arm and told his men to carry her carefully back to her room which was in Yondu 's ship. Yondu then retreat with his men and the girl, leaving Groot and Drax alone in Knowhere.
Nebula retreated back to the ship with Ronan following behind her.
"It's Gamora. She's escaping with the orb" Nebula told Ronan.
"No!" Drax yelled and charged on Ronan.
Drax goes strike him with his knives but Ronan easily dodges the attack.
Ronan turned around to look at heavily panting Drax.
"Nebula, retrieve the orb" Ronan ordered Nebula.
Nebula followed the order and took of with the ship. Other ships then followed her from behind her.
Ronan just stayed behind to fight in this redicuolus fight.
As Nebula was chasing the pods down, she ordered other men to grab the orb from Gamora.
"Rocket! Keep them off Gamora until she gets to the Milano!" Peter ordered Rocket through the communications.
"How? We've got no weaponry on these things" Rocket stated while driving crazily.
"That's not what I'm saying" Peter said.
Rocket thinks for a moment before smirking.
"Oh!!" Rocket was soon stricken with realization.
Rocket then took his pods over the other two ships of Ronan's, chasing them. He brought his pods through the ships, destroying them instantly without leaving a scratch on his pod.
Then, as another one comes over to shoot at his pod, Rocket flies straight into it, making it exploded into pieces including the pilot.
"Quill! I'm trapped! I can't make it out to the Milano! I have to head out!" Gamora said through the speaker.
"What? Wait! These things aren't meant to go out there! " Peter said but it was too late, Gamora already took her pod to out of the atmosphere.
"You are a dissapointment, sister. Of our siblings, I hate you least" Nebula said.
"Nebula, please. If Ronan gets this stone, he'll kill us all" Gamora said, trying to convince her step sister.
"Not all" Nebula said.
Nebula then blows up Gamora 's pod and left her floating in the space, out cold.
The orb was floating away from Gamora. So Nebula took the chance and abducted the orb into the ship of hers and left, leaving Gamora.
Peter and Rocket made it where Gamora was floating. They then stopped when they knew that they didn't made it in time.
"Quill, come on. Her body mods should keep her alive a couple more minutes, but there's nothing we can do for her. These pods aren't meant to be out here. In a second, we're gonna be in the same boat" Rocket said.
Rocket turned his pod around and started to leave.
"Aw! Damn it!" Peter curses.
"Quill?" Rocket called him.
Peter then presses a button and started to call Yondu.
After he made the call, Peter put his masks on and exited the pod of his and made his way to Gamora.
"Quill, don't be ridiculous!! Get back into your pod!! You can't fit two people in there, you're gonna die!!" Rocket said but Peter ignored him completely.
Peter hold Gamora in his hands and put the mask on her before taking a deep breath.
Gamora then started to breath but still was unconcious. Soon, Yondu ' s ship abducted them into his ship.
Rocket gave in and went back to Knowhere. When he landed, Rocket started to yell things.
"Blasted idiot! They're all idiots! Quill just got himself captured!" Rocket yelled and then looked at Drax. "None of this ever would have happened if you didn't try to single - handedly take on a frickin' army!" Rocket scolded Drax.
"Oh, boo hoo hoo. "My wife and child are dead"." Rocket mocked Drax as Groot gasped.
"Oh I don't care if it's mean! Everybody's got dead people! That's no excuse to get everybody else dead along the way!" He yelled again.
"Come on, Groot. Ronan has the stone. The only chance we got is to get to the other side of the universe as fast as we can and maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to live full lives before that whack-job ever gets there" Rocket said to Groot.
As he made his way up the pod, Groot stood in his feet and stopped him.
"I am Groot"
"Save them? How?"
"I am Groot"
"I know they're the only friends that we ever had, but there's an army of Ravagers around them. And there's only two of us!"
"Three" Drax stood up and slung an arm around Groot 's shoulder.
Rocket grunts in anger and frustration. He turned around and started to kick the ground with his feet.
"Wait? Where's (Y/N)?" Rocket asked to Groot.
Groot hesitated at first but told him anyway.
"I am Groot" he answered.
"Why is she with Yondu?!" Rocket asked, mostly yelled at Groot.
"I.. am Groot"
"Why would you think it would be good to give her to Yondu?!" Rocket yelled.
Rocket grunts again and continue on kicking the grass.
"You're. Making. Me. Beat. Up. Grass!!!!!!!!"
