Tiffany's POV:
Kyle took his sweet time waking up, so I take that time to explore the house even though Tyler already showed me the tour. I soon go up to my room and take a proper look around, everything in the room has a vintage look to it. The walls are covered in vintage cream coloured floral wall, the queen size bed frame is also vintage with patterns around the edge. The dresser, bed side table and vanity are all matching. The dresser is tall with five drawers, the bedside table has two and the vanity has five. The vanity also has one of those fancy mirrors and a matching stool. I think I can get used to this room. With a fancy vintage chair on the opposite side of the room to the bed with a matching ottoman.
"Tiff, you like your room?"
I jump from fright, my heart starts beating faster and my hand is clutching my chest. I turn around and glare at Kyle who looks amused,
"Don't do that!" I snap. Jeez, could've given me a heart attack.
"Do you?" He asks and I raise a brow,
"Do I what Conaway?" I ask confused,
"Like the room?" Kyle says like I'm dumb.
I look around the room and face him again, "Yea, it's lovely. Now what are we doing today? Tyler mentioned something about you having a plan or something?" I say and he nods,
"That's right. Well I'll show you around town and maybe, just maybe we could stop for lunch. We also have training at four so we have to be back by then." Kyle explains,
"Ok, then what are we waiting for?" I ask and he shrugs,
"Let's go."
So after about two hours of Kyle showing me around town, I sit down on a park bench too tired to do anything else.
"Tiff, come on we have to go. Training starts in a few hours."
"I'm tired Conaway. Can't I just stay here for a while?" I ask and he sits beside me with a sigh, "Am I ever going to see my family again? Or even Avery?" I ask out of the blue, I can sense that he's thinking hard and is staring at the lake in front of us,
"It all depends on how things work out. It's not safe back hom-"
"What about my family? Huh. They are in danger cause I'm sure those people know where I live." I snap, glaring at him. He's not affected by it though.
"Tiff you know this is for your safety, so like it or not your staying here. We're only trying to help you, your more than welcome to go home but don't blame me if you get killed." Kyle snaps getting up and storming away,
"Your such a jerk Conaway!" I yell after him, huffing leaning back on the bench with my arms crossed over my chest.
I guess I can go find a payphone... that's it a payphone, why didn't I think of that earlier. I can call mom and Avery telling them I'm fine, I'm sure they're just about to call missing person's unit, if they haven't already. But the thing is I don't even remember where the Conaway house hold is, so how will I get back. I'll figure that out later.
As soon as I reach the payphone that I saw earlier I immediately put coins in the machine, that I had in my back pocket, and dial my home number. After two rings my mother picks up,
"Hello?" My mother asks sounding concerned, bringing tears to my eyes.
"Mom." I sob, "I'm safe ok. I'm just ringing to tell you that." I say into the phone, I hear sobs from the other line,
"Tiffany, honey. Where are you? Come home!"
My eyes tear up more, "I can't mom, I can't tell you anything mom. But I'm safe and I'll be home before you know it."
"No, Tiffany. What happened? You need to tell me! I'm your mother!"
"Mom, nothing happened. I wasn't kidnapped if that's what you think. Nothing happened to me, I just think it'll be better if I stay here for a while. I love you mom, and I'll be home before you know it. I promise, I'll try call you whenever I can, ok. I love you." I say. Just as she starts to talk I hang up. I had to do it, otherwise I'm going to go in breakdown mode.
First phone call done, now it's time for Avery and it isn't going to be easy, since she is like a sister to me. I put money into the machine and dial Avery's mobile. She picks up on first ring,
"Hello? Tiffany?" She asks worriedly and I smile with tears in my eyes,
"Yea it's m-"
"Tiffany! You better get you ass back home right now! I've been worried sick about your ass since you've disappeared."
"Calm down Av. I'm fine and I'm safe. I haven't been kidnapped or anything." I tell her and I hear her sigh,
"Tiffany, you need to come home! How am I going to finish high school without my best friend?" She asks rhetorically, making a few tears fall from my eyes, "Where are you? I'll come pick you up!"
"Avery! Calm down. I'll be home before you know it but for now it's best if I'm here." I tell her and I hear her let out a small sob,
"No Tiffany! You know what else I've noticed, Kyle disappeared too. Hasn't been seen. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you? And what about your soccer game, the one that decides whether your in the finals or not, or are you going to let your team down too."
That makes me start to sob. This was never suppose to happen. I am suppose to be in that game. I am  suppose to be at home with my family and best friend. But here's the question would they rather see me in a grave? Or would they prefer to see me months or even years later? I know the answer to that and I know I'm stressing them out by doing this.
"I'm sorry Avery, but I can't come home. I know I'm missing everything but you'll forgive me, I know you will. And as for Kyle, I wouldn't have a clue where he is. I'm really really sorry, but I really have to go. I'll try call you later this week, ok." I tell her and just as she yells at me not to hang up I do. That's when I feel tears well up my eyes and my visions starts to become blurry.
I walk out of the phone booth and find my way back to the park.
"I knew you would do the right thing." A voice says out of nowhere, making me jump. I furiously wipe at my eyes and glare at the person.
"I told you not to do that. If anything you will be the one that cause's my death!" I snap, walking away from him towards the park, hearing his footsteps close behind me meaning he's following,
"Noo, last time I checked the elementaret will kill you if you don't learn how to control it." Kyle says in that annoying tone of his, I just roll my eyes.
"Training starts now then. I want to hurry up and have a shower, the faster this training is over and done with the faster I can have a nice long shower."
"Well I just went to the sports shop down the road and brought you these." He says passing me a cotton bag. I peek into the bag and see a pair of sneakers, along with a sports bra, a matching jacket and matching three quarter gym pants. And they're all my favourite colour, but the thing is, they're all Nike.
"I can't accept these, they probaly cost you way too much." I say pushing the bag back to him but he smirks, here we go.
"Oh, but your not keeping them. They're just yours until training is over, so your more like borrowing them." Kyle tells me and I just roll my eyes,
"Ok thanks. And you also got my favourite colour, turquiose. How did you know?" I ask him with a small smile,
"Oh, I didn't. I just got the last set of the cheapest stuff." He tells me and I roll my eyes,
"Way to make a girl feel special." I say sarcastically.
"I try. Anyways, let's go back to the house you can get changed and then training starts." Kyle tells me, and I just follow him back to the house.
"Ty, we're back!" Kyle says in a bored tone.
A nice smell hits my nose, coming from the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and see that Tyler has made lunch, that consists of a variety of sandwiches, both toasted and not toasted.
"Hey little-T! I made you lunch." He smiles looking at me and I smile,
"Now this is how to make a girl feel special." I say wrapping my arms around Tyler, he just stands there for a minute before hugging me back. "Thank you." I whisper.
"Oh, so Tyler gets the special treatment." Kyle groans, "And what's with the nick name Ty. Little-T." Kyle starts laughing like a hyena.
"Ignore him. Sit down and have lunch. I didn't know what you like so I made a few of my favourites that I thought you might like. There's chicke-"
"I'll take chicken. Thank you." I smile as he points me at the sandwich and I pick it up and it looks yummy, with mayonnaise and lettuce. Yum. As soon as I take a bite, I let out a small moan, making the guys stare at me. "What? This stuff is good." I mumble through a mouthful.
"Well as I was saying, I also made a pizza sandwich, you know like the ones they make at subway. Toasted cheese sandwich. Chicken with mayo, carrot, beetroot, lettuce and cucumber. I made a vegetarian sandwich with just vegetables and-"
"Ty, I think the ones you just told me will do."
"There are only two more flavours."
"I'll like them all. I eat anything and everything." I tell him and he smiles brightly,
"Well then, eat up!" Tyler says grabbing a sandwich for himself. Kyle just watches us and glares at his brother,
"Tiff, outside right now." Kyle says in a cold tone,
"But I only just star-"
"Now! Go get changed and I'll meet you at the back." He says still glaring at his brother, and I have no idea why. Tyler was just trying to be nice to me by making me lunch, something Kyle didn't even bother to get me.
"I'll save all this for later." Tyler says taking another bite of his sandwich.
"Thanks Ty." I glare at Kyle, taking the bag and sandwich with me I run to my room and get changed, not before eating my delicious sandwich first.
Once I'm done getting dressed, I run downstairs and pop by the kitchen to get me another sandwich only to be stopped by an argument that is currently going on.
"What are you trying to do?" Kyle hisses at Tyler.
Tyler obviously notices me first as he is now looking at me with a tight smile, that made Kyle look at me with a scowl on his lips. I quickly walk in grab a sandwich and jog out of the tension filled room, with them staring behind me, before the argument starts again. I ignore them and just look at the window for a while. Nothing unusual, just the usual backyard. I take another large bite of this yummy sandwich before I hear loud angry footsteps heading towards me. I turn around to see one angry Kyle glaring at everything he looks at. Ooo he looks pissed off. I take another bite of my sandwich making Kyle glare at me,
"Put that away. Training starts now!" Kyle snaps. And let me say his tone is scary, I take a small nibble of the sandwich while staring into his empty blue eyes, "Now!"
That made something in me snap, cause suddenly the burning pain is back, my sandwich is on the ground... I was eating that *sad pout*, I'm on my knees holding my chest. Kyle does the worst thing he can possibly do in this situation and pulls me up off the ground in a tight grip.
"See what happens when this gets worse. Your eyes are glowing a neon blue." What the hell is he talking about? The pain in my chest is still there, but Kyle ignores my whines of pain and turns me towards a mirror, and in fact my eyes are glowing a neon blue.
"What th-"
"Your training starts now! Get outside." He says, pushing me out the back door and into the garden.
As soon as we're outside the view is different to what was in the the window. The backyard was far from usual, no this backyard had lovely colourful flowers growing everywhere, there was a pond with koi fish in it, it also has a Japanese bridge going over the pond. By the pond was a Japanese bench to sit on. This backyard is just breath taking. It reminds me of the botanical gardens a little bit.
"What the hell are you doing just standing there? Let's go!"
That made me snap out of my trance and follow him to the pond. Why are we at the pond?
"Well you can start off with the first element, water." Kyle states in a harsh tone. Oh I see, that's why it's called the elementarent or whatever it's called. "I need you to be able lift the water without using your hands."
I'm sorry. Did I hear right? Lift the water without using my hands. That's impossible.
"That's impossible Conaway! How the hell am I going to lift the water without my hands?" I snap. Another strike of pain hits me and he smirks,
"You show me. You're not leaving until it is done. Now if you excuse me, I have things to do. I'll be back in a few hours and if it's not done, I'll keep you out here even longer." Kyle turns on his heel ready to leave,
"Wait a second! You expect me to know how to do this on my own! I don't know anything about this thing in me and your telling me I have a few hours."
"It's easy once you know how to do it. Concentration will help. Time is ticking, better get started." I could hear the smirk in his tone, and he takes off towards the house.
"Conaway! Your such a jerk!" I yell at his back and he turns around to face me once again.
"Oh, I've been told. Now start training, like I said time is ticking." With that he walks away, leaving me to do this on my own. Concentration my ass. This is impossible.
After a long time in this freaking garden I'm starting to get frustrated. Everything but the water is lifting. This is impossible. I've tried everything from 'Lift water' to ' Rise water rise'. Do you think it worked? Nope. Only a small bubble of water rises and it pops, dripping back in the pond.
I huff out in frustration and that is when I hear someone's footsteps coming towards me. I turn my head to see Tyler looking amused.
"It's not working." I mutter, then I look to his hands and see a sandwich and a bottle of water. Making me grin,
"Well my idiot brother is no help when it comes these situations. I bet he didn't even tell you what to do." He says taking a seat on the bench. "You've been out here for nearly two hours. Have a break and something to eat first then I'll help you out as much as I can."
"You're the best you know." I say taking a seat beside him, and taking the chicken sandwich off him taking a large bite. "Your brother is hopeless. He only told me to concentrate and how am I going to concentrate if I don't know what to do. All he said was 'I need you to be able lift the water without using your hands.' and then he told me I'm not leaving until I do. He is such a jerk." I grumble taking another bite of the sandwich.
"Well, that's Kyle for you. He's just a little grumpy today." Tyler explains, while I continue eating, "Now finish your sandwich and we can go back to your training. And don't worry, there's plenty more sandwiches for you in the kitchen when you finish up and complete the task at hand."
"Now that's some motivation." I smile at him, finishing up the last piece of bread and hopping up from the bench, pulling Tyler up with me. "Let's do this."
