Tiffany's POV:

"I know what's happening to you."

Just those words that came from his mouth freaked me out. Another sharp burning pain shoots through my chest and I hold my hand there tightly. I breath in and out slowly, the radio playing quietly in the background. Once I think I'm right to talk I do.

"What on earth does that mean!?!" I all but scream,

"I'll explain it later, but you need to get some rest." He tells me, I widen my eyes as I see the motorway entrance ahead.

"Conaway! Where the hell are we going? My house is back that way you know." I say in a rush. If I'm not home this afternoon my parents are going to freak and Avery is going to kill me... not literally.

"We can't go back there. It's not safe for you and you need to know what's happening to you."

"Ok, what is happening to me Conaway? Explain to me why I nearly got kidnapped, actually forget that you are kidnapping me and what the hell is Elementtanet?" I ask and his eyes flick to mine for a second before speeding even faster on the road, making me grip the seat for my dear life, thank goodness I put on my seat belt.

"Elementaret. Well I guess there's no point telling you later." He pauses to change lanes and then continues, "It's what's causing you these burning pains in your chest."

The burning starts again and I bend over holding my chest really tightly.

"Tiff-"

"No." I breathe in and out again, "Those pain killers you gave me, were they really pain killers?" I ask afraid of the answer,

"No. They were to prevent the Elementaret from taking over your body. It's happening right now and if you don't start to learn how to use it, there is a chance of it killing you."

I gulp slowly. Ki-kill me. Kill me! This thing is going to kill me! I hiss in pain as the burning starts to get worse.

"You really need to rest Tiff. Go to sleep it's going to be a long drive, plus I have nothing to suppress it right now."

"Fine. But you better explain the rest when we get to wherever the hell where going." I snap. I put my head back on the head rest and get comfortable, well this chair is comfortable. I close my eyes and they feel really heavy so I let them drop and I slip into sleep.

That's weird, I feel like I'm on a cloud. Stretching my arms and legs out I let out a yawn and flutter my eyes open. I wipe my eyes from sleep and look around, this place isn't familiar. Where the hell am I? And why am I on a queen size bed?

All the events suddenly flow through my head and I gasp sitting up. I was kidnapped by Kyle Conaway because someone else tried to kidnap me, finding out about some Elementantrent or whatever the hell it's called.

I look beside me by habit and nearly let out a scream when I see Kyle asleep in some vintage chair by the bed, in the dull light. What the hell is he doing in here? While I was sleeping... was he watching me? Oh my gosh, this is my worst nightmare.

Kyle's head falls to the other side of the chair, I feel sorry for him. Why the hell would he sleep on an uncomfortable chair?

"Tiff." He mumbles and that's it, I think I really did scream and accidentally woke him up in the process. Great.

"Yea." I say looking at him, no point correcting my name he won't listen to me anyways.

"Go back to sleep." He says in a groggy tone and I look at him likes he's crazy. I'm not going back to freaking sleep, oh forget that.

"Why should I? I'm not tired." I argue.

"Just do as I say." He replies leaving no room for argument.

Yea yea. As if I'd listen to you. "Fine." I grumble.

Waiting a few minutes until I hear soft snores, I quietly take the quilt off me and tip toe out of the dark room. Being careful not to alert Kyle or walk into anything. I cringe as a floorboard squeaks and I turn to see if it woke Kyle up, which it didn't. Few. I take another few steps and find the door, quickly exiting it. I made it. I cheer and do a little dance, suddenly bumping into a hard wall. And yes it was a wall, I look back to the room in the darkness of the hallway and hurry to the staircase that I spot in the dull lighting and run down the stairs, being careful not to trip.

I look around me and see that I'm in the lounge room, I can't really tell much but I do know there is a curtain across the window where it's blocking the light, some light still brightens the room. But I can tell this is no house, this is a bigger than the average house. There is at least three different hallways from what I can see through the dull lighting and I don't know where to go because I don't know where anything is and there's a chance I won't be able to find my way back to the lounge room. Outside looks dark but it looks like the sun is going to rise soon. Early morning.

Suddenly I see an object rises, and as I blink it falls making a loud bang on the wooden floor. I freeze. What the hell? I'm hallucinating again, when is this going to stop. I hiss in pain as I feel a rise of burning in my chest. Breathing in and out trying to make it stop but it won't. I get up still in pain and see that items in the room are floating and as this pain worsens I see a slight flame. Shit... fire. Where the hell is the kitchen or bathroom? I hiss again and fall on my knees, now I can feel water in my eyes from the pain.

I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and suddenly I am being lifted and placed on a soft surface.

"Tiffany, you need to calm down. Breathe in and out really slowly ok?" The voice is nothing like Kyle's, it's more deeper and he normally calls me Tiff not Tiffany. But I do as he tells me to and breathe in and out really slowly like he said. "Good, now I need you to drink this. Don't worry, it's just plain water." He instructs, again I listen, ignoring the pain in my chest and taking a gulp of water. I look up to thank him and realise I was right, this guy isn't Kyle.

"Who are you?" I ask the guy, in the darkness I can't really tell the colour of his hair,

"Tyler. Tyler Conaway, Kyle's older brother. You do know why this is happening, right?" He says gesturing to the now burnt curtain.

"I'm sorry about the curtain." I say in a whisper, "I don't know what's happening to me and-"

"Tiffany, really don't stress out too much cause your letting your power out by doing so. I really need you to relax from now on, ok? Can you do that for me?" He asks me and I simply nod,

"Yea." I smile lightly, then I realise he knows my name, "How do you know my name?" I ask him, he couldn't of known it, especially since I haven't met him before.

"Kyle told me. You are living in our house after all." He tells me and I nod.

"You know, your a lot nicer than your brother. He is nice but he can be a really big jerk." I hear him chuckle lightly,

"Oh, I know." Tyler tells me making me laugh lightly. Suddenly a bright light takes over the room and I squint my eyes until they're used to the bright light. My eyes suddenly go to the person who has just entered the room.

"What's this about me being a jerk?" Kyle asks coming over and taking a seat on the lounge in front of me and now that I take in the detail I gasp. There is a fireplace on a light coloured brick wall, a seventy inch TV on the wall beside it, all the walls are white, except for that one brick wall. The lounge I'm laying on is a light brown leather and a nice lovely fluffy dark brown is on the floor in the middle of the room.

"You are a jerk, Kyle." Tyler smirks at Kyle who soon looks to me with a smile. Now that I take in Tyler, he is an older version Kyle, with a few different features. Tyler has blondish-brownish tousled hair from sleep and he has chocolate brown eyes different from Kyle's brown hair and blue eyes. Although they do look similar on some aspects.

"Am not Ty." Kyle whines to his brother, oh and this is the side I find cute... wait did I say cute, I take that back.

"Actually Conaway you are one hell of a jerk." I smirk at him and he groans,

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"So, what did my idiot brother do to you?" Tyler asks before Kyle argues that he's not a jerk again.

"You really want to know?" Tyler nods, while Kyle groans, "He tried to make a move on me and then told me I'm not worth his time. Isn't that enough evidence that he is a jerk?"

"Your right there Tiffany. But I'll let you in on a little secret." He motions me to come forward and he whispers in my ear, "He only does that to girls he likes."

"Hey!! I heard that and no I don't like her... well I do but not in that kinda way." Kyle says and I roll my eyes,

"That's kinda hard to believe, your always annoying the hell out of me." I say,

"Yea whatever Tiff."

"What don't you get when I say my name is Tiff-an-y!" I snap.

"I do get it, I just like Tiff better." He reply's and I groan.

"Enough you two, now your annoying me." Tyler says with a playful smirk, looking between me and Kyle.

"I was only a jerk to you Tiff cause I was on the job."

On the job... he was working for what? That guy that attempted to kidnap me said something about an organisation.

"Job?" I ask with confusion,

"Can you explain to her Ty, cause you both got me up too early."

"Hey! That wasn't my fault I woke you up."

"Your right. That's why you start training this afternoon. Now I'm going back to bed." Kyle tells us walking back up the stairs.

"Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. Now how about I explain everything over breakfast." Tyler tells me.

Watching Tyler work his way around the kitchen is kinda hot, he was making our breakfast which is his famous home made crepes with chocolate sauce and strawberries and some other fruits. Mmm delish.

"So where do you want me to start?"

"Wherever you want. I just want to know."

"Ok well basically Kyle went undercover at your school, he applied as a student but really he was just doing his job by keeping an eye on you and the bad guys-"

"The one's who tried to kidnap me?" I ask and he nods, placing a plate of crepes in front of me, immediately digging into the delicious plate of goodness.

"That's right. So when Kyle said 'job' he mean't being there to protect you. You can really call our organisation whatever you want but normally people just call us The Protectors, cause that's what we're hired to do." He tells me going around the kitchen grabbing things from the cupboard,

"So what's this thing called the Elementanet?"

"The Elementaret is something you have in you, you were born with it. I'm sure you've had a lot of moments where you've felt light headed or a burning pain strikes your chest, it gets worse over time if you don't learn to control it. That was the Elementaret growing in you wanting to escape and the only way for that to happen is to for you to train but cause you didn't know it gives you symptoms of burning pains in chest and feeling light headed." Tyler flips a crepe over so it cooks on both sides and then continues, "Kyle was there because the Elementaret could attract trouble like those guys who tried to kidnap you and if your not careful and trust the wrong people they will kill you."

"So your saying I shouldn't trust you?" I ask with a playful smirk and he just smiles and continues on,

"They only want one thing and that is the Elementaret, which is inside you. That's why I gave Kyle those pills to suppress it for twenty four hours, so you don't get detected, but it was too late it was already getting worse. I knew it was getting worse so I had to send him out to protect you and make sure nothing happened to you or your power, if we just left you be, it could be dangerous for both you and those around you. That's why you had to come back here to Hollowstern Creek, to train. The Elementaret can either consume you to kill you or it lets you take control of it."

"I still don't understand. Why is it in me?" I ask confused, taking a bite of my crepe and a strawberry,

"No one knows how it happens, it just does. Anyways, once you finish eating do you want a tour of the house?" Tyler asks me and I nod,

"Sure." I moan as the taste of all the ingredients touch my tongue, "These are good Tyler, you will make a good husband one day." I tell him going in for another bite of the crepe, Tyler blushes lightly at that statement.

"There's plenty more if you want more of them." Tyler then goes over to the pan and flips over the last crepe. "One day I'll be married but that won't be for a while." He tells me after a bit, and I smile.

"Oh I agree with that Tyler." I smile to myself then ask, "Can I call you Ty?"

"Sure, as long as I get to call you little-T." He smirks and I laugh lightly,

"I'm not little though, I'm five-seven." I pout and he smiles,

"Oh well, I'm sticking to it." He looks down to my plate and smiles when he sees it has nothing on it, "Come on, I'll give you the tour little-T."

I hop up off the kitchen stool and smile, "Let's go."

"Ok so this is my bedroom, Kyle's bedroom is right next door to mine. Your bedroom is down the hall a few doors down, closest to the stairs." He shows me and then we come across a door with a lock on it, "This door is not to be opened, it is locked with a set of keys but the room is not for you to go in. Do you understand?"

Locked door? What could possibly be behind the door?

"I understand, but may I ask what's behind it?"

"I'm sorry little-T but I can't tell you that." He tells me looking in deep thought, "Well that ends the tour and Kyle should be up soon, so maybe we could go downstairs. I think Kyle's planned something for you guys to do today apart from train."

"Alright... Ty can I have some more of those amazing crepes?" I ask Tyler with a hopeful look and he laughs,

"Of course."

So for the rest of the morning we sit down and eat more crepes but leave some for Kyle, I'm not that mean to leave him none. I wonder what Kyle has in plan for today, although that reminds me I need to call home and tell them I'm fine before they call the missing person's unit and report me missing.
