Tiffany's POV:
I wait for one of parents to talk and of course my father decides to speak first.
"Now this is why I tell you to stop being so lenient with her."
I just roll my eyes, keeping quiet so I don't start a fight with either of my parents. That's not my goal here.
A moment later a feel my phone buzz in my pocket, I sneakily take a look at it and see its from Avery saying she arrived home but forgot to message me.
"Jared, calm down." Mom says, placing her hand on dad's arm. She then looks at me with a small smile, "If that's what you want to do honey. As long as you know I'm supporting you on this."
"Ka-"
"Jared, you're too hard on her. Arguing with her is getting us no where and I'm sure you know that." She tells him in a disapproving tone, but sounding calm at the same time. "I'm sure you want to go to college, right? So where's the nearest campus near..." She cuts herself off, and I know for a fact why.
My dad looks at her with a raised brow with a smug look on his face. "You don't even know where she's moving to, do you? When she was gone, do you know where she was for the past two and a half months? And you're just going to let her move in with some guy she hardly even knows and could be a murderer for all I kn-"
"That's enough dad. That's low for even you." I exclaim angrily, he doesn't get it. I was moving out end of high school even if it wasn't with Kyle. "Kyle's a great guy, and I know him more than you do. Mom thanks for the support. Dad learn to grow the fuck up."
The whole house now seems so so quiet, my dad looking more than shocked at my outburst.
"I've been wanting to move out for a long time, longer than you guys even know." I start, then I look to my father, "You and me have been fighting for I don't even know how long and I just want to be happy for once, I'm happy now or well I was before this conversation happened. Mom wants me to be happy, why can't you do the same for once in your life."
I turn and look to Kyle then with a small smile.
"I didn't me-"
"I love Kyle, and I think I always will." I squeeze his hand then, cutting my father off. I then look back at my parents, "If it wasn't for Kyle I could have been dead. If it wasn't for Kyle I don't think, I don't think Claire or me would have survived. Please, just give him a chance. Please, that's all I ask. I'm happy with him." I quietly say, although I'm sure they all heard me clear enough.
I slide my chair back standing up, letting go of Kyle's hand before turning and heading for the stair case to go to my room to pack. The faster this is done the better.
"Wait." My father calls out. I pause, halfway to the stairs. "Are you not happy here Tiffany?"
I turn my head around slowly, looking at the man also known as my father.
"I don't think I will be as long as I live here. I clash with you and mom too much." I state quietly.
"And what about your friends?" He continues.
"Avery, she's moving away for college."
"What about your sister?"
"It's not like I'll be gone forever." I tell him. Walking slowly back towards the table.
Kyle and Mom just sits there quietly watching.
"I'm not going to stop you, do what you want." He stands up, giving me one last glance before walking out the room.
"I'll go talk to him." Mom slides her chair back, she then looks to Kyle with a small smile. "I'm happy Tiffany choose you Kyle. I knew the moment you came to the hospital, I knew you guys were mean't to be." Mom walks away then, I just watch her carefully.
I suddenly feel warmth on my hand and look down to see Kyle's over mine.
"Are you sure you want to move in with me Tiffany? Are you sure you're not doing it for me?" Kyle asks me with this look in his eyes that seems like... I don't know.
"Why would you ask that? Of course I'm sure." I tell him, confused. "Why would you ask that? Is it because of what just happened?"
Kyle raises his brow the slightest, "That's not why I asked Tiff, I just want you to be happy."
I hold his hand in mine and smile, "I am happy, I swear I am."
He nods quietly, a smile slowly taking over his lips.
"I'm going to go pack. Do you want to help?" I ask him.
"Yeah, sure."
--
It's a few days later and my bags are all packed and ready to go I place them by the door of my room.
One last time looking around the room that used to be my own. The single bed shoved in the corner of the room by the window, with it's matching bedside table beside it. The desk/bookshelf on the wall opposite my bed filled will all my favourite reads and my laptop sitting there shut, my built-in wardrobe with mirror doors on the wall beside my bed.
The room now empty that I have packed everything away; my books, my laptop, my clothes and anything I needed.
The desk/bookshelf now looking empty against the plain wall. My bed neatly made and is the cleanest it's ever been in my life.
"Hey sweetie." A voice whispers from behind me. I smile slightly, continuing to look at me room. "You going to miss this place?"
I turn around and nod. "What makes you think that I won't miss this place? Of course I'll miss this place, this is my home."
"Sweetie, I know. And you're welcome here whenever you like." She glances at me for a moment before saying, "You're dads not angry about this you know. But he is angry at the fact my car is damaged."
I open and close my mouth like a fish. "Mom, I'm really sorry about that. I did't know that wa-"
She shakes her head at me. "I'm not angry. Upset, yes. But angry, no. I'm just glad that you're okay. When I got the phone call from the hospital telling me what happened, do you know how worried I was. And another thing I don't get is why you were driving in the first place, if you wanted to go somewhere you could have just asked me, I would have taken you where you wanted to go." She pauses and smiles lightly, "I was so worried Tiffany, if anything ever happened to you-"
"Mom, I'm fine. Nothing will happen to me. Well not anytime soon."
"We hope." She says shaking her head at me, "I rang Avery and told her about what happened. I rushed to the hospital as soon as I could. The doctors told me you weren't  injured and that you just bumped your head. Avery came not long after and I explained to her what the doctor explained to me. She told me to go home and rest, I swear sometimes she acts like your mother." She grins and I nod, knowing that sounds exactly like her.
"Right, then let me guess. You refused to go home but she convinced you to go home and she'll make sure I'll get home safely." I finish for her.
Mom nods, "Yes. Avery is like my third child. She somehow convinced me to go home. That's when I told your father, he was angry. Angry that my car is now getting repaired and angry at the fact you didn't come home like you were supposed to."
I nod, "Right, I'm sorry about that too. But I needed to see Kyle."
She smiles, "I think I had an inkling of why you didn't come back. Your memories are back and that's all that matters right?"
I nod, "Yeah mom. That and Kyle."
I feel my cheeks heat up slightly with the way mom looks at me.
"You're one step closer Tiffany."
I turn to look at mom and raise a brow. "To what?"
She puts her arm around my shoulders and pull me towards her, placing a kiss on my head. "You'll figure it out honey."
With that she turns around and leaves my room.
What did she mean? That could literally mean anything.
I glance at my room one last time before putting my duffle-bag on my shoulder, grabbing my suitcase by the handle and steering it outside of the room.
I turn my head before quietly mumbling, "Goodbye."
--
Kyle nudges me slightly and I turn my attention to him, "Do you want to get pizza before we leave?"
I instantly grin, "Who am I to turn down pizza? Come on, I know th-"
"Don't think I forgot. Your favourite pizza shop around here is that corner pizza place, right?" I nod quietly. "Let's go then, we'll come back later to say our final goodbyes."
I shake my head and turn to face the house, "This isn't goodbye Kyle. This is a cya later."
"Right, right. A final cya later it is."
I hook my arm around his and head to the car.
--
"Tiffany! Over here!!"
I look up to see Avery and grin. Walking over to her table.
"How'd you kn-" I turn my head and glance at Kyle, once I realise he invited her. "Thank you."
"Sit, sit! I already ordered for us. Can you believe it Tiffany? You're actually leaving this place." She exclaims and I nod, taking a seat across from her. Kyle taking a seat beside me.
"I know you're upset I'm leaving."
"Yeah I am upset that you're leaving, but that's because I'm going to miss you like hell." She tells me grabbing my hand from across the table.
It's then that I feel my eyes getting watery. "I'll miss you too Avs. How could I not?"
She shakes her head, "Hey, hey! Don't start crying on me. Cause then I'll start crying."
I grin and fan my face with my free hand trying to dry my eyes. "Oh my gosh, is this really it Avs. You'll be in college soon and then what?"
I see her glance to Kyle. "I don't know, marriage?" She says with a light laugh, "Kids?"
"Oh not for a long time. A very long time."
"Maybe." I turn my head to Kyle, thinking I might have imagined what he said or more like mumbled.
I suddenly have a flash of a memory. "Hey, what happened with that guy you were seeing? Kayden?"
"Kale, and we're still hanging out. Sometimes. It's a casual thing."
I raise a brow, "Are you sure it's just a casual thing?"
She shrugs, "It's not a big deal. I'm just looking for fun for the time being. All my past relationships have failed, and it's not a big deal, I just want something that's not going make me a different person. This guy seems to like the way things are going for the time being. And so do I."
I look behind me when I notice Avery looking behind me and grin when I see the employee that works here heading towards us with our pizza.
"Sorry for the wait. Enjoy!" She says with a smile before heading back.
I instantly take a piece of my all time favourite pizza, meat lovers. Taking a large bite, I sigh. It's like I'm in heaven.
"So does he know?"
She glances from me to Kyle. "Know what?"
"That your ex's were girls?" I smirk and she shrugs. I take another deliciously bite, close to being on my second slice.
"I don't think that's a problem for him, apart from the fact that his sister seems to like girls too. Apparently she's crushing on me, gotta admit it she is hot."
I hear a small laugh from beside me. I notice that Kyle's barely said anything since we got here.
"That probably means he's worried you'll dump him for her." Kyle mumbles through his mouth full of pizza.
I laugh. "You've met his family." I give Kyle a smirk and he nods. "Yeah, that's gotta mean something to him. And a little more then you're letting on."
She now has slightly scarlet stained cheeks. "Right... anyways, soccer. You're going to continue soccer right?"
I grin, she is subtly changing the topic. "Yeah, I hope so. Hopefully there is a girl's team to play on."
"And if there's not a girls team, you can just pull off She's The Man." She winks and I nod.
"Maybe."
"No, she won't have to do that. I know there is a girls team, and Skyler knows the coach." Kyle tells us, before taking another slice from the plate.
"That's great Tiffany! Do you know what you're going to study at college?" I sigh and shrug.
I honestly haven't even thought of college for a long while now. Everything's different now. The Elementaret is no longer apart of me, and I've been lost for the last few months.
"You are going to college right?" Avery questions me when I don't answer her.
I shrug. "Honestly, I haven't really thought about it." I tell her, finishing off my slice of pizza. "Have you thought about college much?"
"Now and then. I'm a little scared and really excited at the same time, but that's normal apparently. I'm just worried I won't like what I choose to study. I've changed my mind at least five times already." She explains.
"That is very normal. It'll be different but at least we will be treated as adults now instead of kids."
"Can we stop talking about the future now? Please. My best friend is leaving and I just want to hang out with her and her boyfriend." She tells me looking at me and Kyle. "Oh, Kyle! Did Tiffany tell you about the time that..."
For the rest of that afternoon Avery tried her best to embarrass me with the most embarrassing things she could remember of the time we spent together throughout high school. We shared stories of times we will never forget and will always remember.
---
As they say time flies when you're having fun. When it's time to leave though, I don't want to.
Avery came back to the house with us, she wanted to hang out as much as we could before I leave.
As Kyle was packing our bags away in the car I say good b- cya later to my family and best friend.
I give mom a tight hug, telling her that I love her, I'll miss her and I'll see her whenever I can.
Claire, well she wasn't exactly happy about me leaving... again. I give her a big hug and pick her up, spinning her around before putting her back on the ground. She looks at me with her big puppy dog eyes.
"Tiffy? Do you have to go?" She asks me, a tear sliding down her cheek.
I kiss her cheek and smile at her. "Claire, I'll be back. I'm not going to be gone forever." My eyes now starting to water. "I'll be back okay. I'm only a phone call away."
Thankfully mom picks her up giving her a hug. I give them both one last tight hug. "I love you girls."
When I pull back and glance at the house I notice my father standing at the door. I don't want to leave on bad terms so I walk up to the house.
"You're really leaving." It wasn't a question.
"I am."
"I'm sorry Tiffany, I still do not approve of this." He tells me and I shrug.
"I'm sorry you don't. But I'm still going."
"I know, you're a bright young lady and hopefully soon enough you'll make great decisions." He tells me.
I nod. "I know."
"Just try to keep in contact this time round, okay. If not for me, for your mother and your sister." He says, looking directly at me.
"I'll try. Like I said, I won't be gone forever. I'll be back." I tell him. I look over to Kyle to see that he is talking to mom, Claire and Avery. "Right, so I better get going."
I knew this conversation was going to be weird and it was unavoidable.
"Take care of yourself. You're forgiven." He looks at me one more time, a light smile tugging at his lips. "I hope you know that I love you. You're still my daughter, and I'll -"
I smile and nod. "I know, you don't have to say anything more."
I start heading down the driveway before pausing and turning around one last time. "Love you too."
He nods with a small smile. I turn back around and head back down the drive way towards the others.
"Avery!" I exclaim. She turns around and I can see her lip wobble slightly. It's then I choose to run, she also runs towards me and we meet halfway. I wrap my arms around her tightly, a tear betraying me and sliding down my cheek. "I love you and I'm going to miss you."
"I love you and I'm going to miss you too!"
"If you ever need anything, or you just need someone to talk to, make sure you call me, okay? I'm just a phone call away."
"I will, and you better do the same." She says, hugging me tighter.
"Of course I will." I pull back and notice a tear sliding down her cheek. "Don't cry, or I'll start crying!"
"I know, I know." She says, pulling away and wiping away her tears.
I turn and look at Kyle leaning on his black sleek car. I smile at him, and he returns one of his own.
"Okay, we really need to get on the road. I'll call you guys when we get back, okay?" I tell Avery, mom and Claire. My father is still standing by the front door. I give him a small wave and a smile before turning to Kyle.
"Are you ready to go?" I ask him quietly.
"I'm ready when you are." He gives me a small smile and a kiss on the top of my head.
I nod. "I'm ready now."
I turn to my family and smile. "So I guess I'll see you guys later." I say looking at mom, Claire and Avery. It's then I notice dad heading down the driveway towards us. "I'll miss you all."
"Tiffy! I love you too!" Claire says, followed by everyone else saying the same thing.
"Tiffany, here." I look at my dad with a raised brow before looking at the envelope in his hand. "You deserve this very much."
I see mom behind him with a small smile on her lips.
"Open it on your way back, okay. It's a gift from me and your mom."
I smile and nod. "Okay, thank you." I turn and look over my shoulder, before looking back at everyone. "Okay, we really better get going. So I'll see you guys later."
One last time I am given hugs by my family, including my father. I smile and hop into the car, Kyle already holding the door open for me. Before he gets in the drivers side, he speaks a few words with my mom and dad. As they were talking quietly and my door was shut I couldn't hear what they were saying. All I could tell from this conversation was that words were spoken and smiles were shared.
Claire gave Kyle a hug, followed by Avery and my mom. My dad offered Kyle a hand shake and Kyle gladly accepted.
I know this is the right decision for me.
The drivers door opens and Kyle hops in his seat, with a small grin on his lips.
"You ready to go home?"
Home. A home with Kyle. It feels right, and sounds right.
I smile, lightly biting down on my lip.
"Let's go home Ky." I smile at him, giving him a light kiss on his cheek.
Kyle clicks his belt in and reverses down the drive way, we give everyone a wave and Kyle honks the horn before taking off down the street.
"Do you want to open that envelope now?" Kyle asks me and I look at him confused, "The one your dad gave you." He clears up.
Ohhh. "Uh yeah, okay." I tell him, grabbing the envelope and opening the flap, pulling out a piece of paper.
"What is it?" Kyle asks, keeping his eyes on the road.
I laugh lightly. "I haven't opened it yet. Gimme a minute."
I unfold the piece of paper, letting my eyes follow the words on the paper.
"It's a letter from my dad." I tell him. Kyle's eyes wonders over to me as if to say continue, before moving back over to the road. "Tiffany all I want is for you to be happy and I'm sorry I couldn't prove it enough to you but it's the truth. I'm sorry I couldn't see it sooner, we argued too much and I'm sorry for that. I think that was because me and you are too alike when it comes to personality. You may look like your mom but you definitely got my hot temper. You're happy now â well I hope you are. Your mother and I are so proud of you even if we don't say it out loud. We love you and we want what's best for you. Hopefully one day we can all be forgiven and can be get along." I wipe a tear that slipped down my cheek and smile slightly, "Mom has told me how much you care about Kyle and it makes me think of how alike you and your mom are. Your mom wanted to get you something last minute before you left and she wasn't sure what to get you so I told her to give you some money instead. At least we know you can buy something you like over something we brought you and you didn't like. Spend it wisely and please always be safe and happy. Love from your parents xox."
I blink a few times to try not to cry, inside the envelope that must have been hiding behind the letter was a few $50 notes.
Kyle looks over to me and smiles. "You okay?"
I nod, "Yeah, I think so."
I pull out my phone and address a text to both my mom and dad saying thank you with a smiley face.
"What are you thinking about?" Kyle asks me.
"Not much." I tell him, leaning my head against the head rest, turning my head to face him, "You?"
He turns to look at me, "You. I'm always thinking about you."
This makes me giggle and blush lightly. "You're lucky we're at a stop light." I tell him, taking his hand in mine as he puts his hand on my knee.
When I see the light turn green, he's still looking at me. "Go! It's green."
He shakes his head with a smile, before pushing his foot on the accelerator making the car go. "I'm going, I'm going."
I turn the radio up a little letting music flow through the car.
"You can sleep this trip if you want to." Kyle says quietly not long later.
I smile, "I know, but I just want to stay like this for a bit. Talking to you... enjoying the moment."
Kyle smiles squeezing my hand lightly before gently pulling away from my hand, putting his hand back on the steering wheel.
"I agree."
For the rest of the drive we talk and share a few laughs, but at some point I start getting really sleepy and let myself fall into dreamland.
---
It's late afternoon when we pull up at the Conaway's, a random car in the driveway, one I haven't seen before.
"Hey who's car is that?" I ask Kyle, even he looks confused.
"Don't know."
We both get out of the car and head to the front door, leaving the bags in the car.
As we enter we hear silence at first, then a giggle. A female giggle, that is definitely not Skylar's.
I look to Kyle and he shrugs. We both head to the kitchen where the sound came from and pause when I see Tyler and the back of a girl with long brown hair. I pause in the door way making Kyle bump into me, making a sound.
That makes Tyler and the girl turn around. I gasp when I see who it is.
Cece stares back at me, with shock before moving forward towards me.
"Hey Tiffany! Long time no see, right?" She asks before giving me a hug. Still in shock I stand still before wrapping my arms around the girl in front of me.
"Hey Cece, what are you doing here?" I ask her confused, looking from her to Tyler.
She smiles, "Just stopping by, visiting an old friend."
I smile back before looking at Kyle suggestively, he and I both knew there was something more to this than meets the eye, so I don't say anything and neither does he.
"Okay, well that's... nice." I look over to Tyler to see him raise a brow, "We're just going to go get some rest. Nice seeing you both."
I start to move away, Kyle's hand in mine.
"Hi Tyler." Kyle says, I hear Tyler mumble a hi back. When we're halfway down the hall, far enough so Tyler and Cece can't hear Kyle leans down to my ear before saying, "There is totally more to that."
I nod in agreement, we'll just have to find out more tomorrow. Right now, I could do with a nice long sleep.
