Tiffany's POV:
"SAY WHAT!!" Avery yells and I block my ears from her loud tone of voice.
"He's my boyfriend." I say, still sounding unsure myself.
Avery's eyes are wide but are looking at me warily and she knows the signs of a lie all too well.
"Are you sure? You look kind of pale and your biting your lip. Don't lie to me Tiffany." She says with an amused grin.
"You annoy me, you realise that."
"And that's why you're my best friend. Now really, why is Kyle there?"
Dang it. She read me like a book. She's too smart for her own good.
"Well..."
"You know you can tell me."
"Kyle kissed me." I say awkwardly, "A few days ago."
I know that wasn't the answer to her original question but I guess that was a distraction so she doesn't know the full truth.
That's when her amused grin turns into a smirk.
"Tiffany has a cruusshh." She sings and I glare.
"Shut up. He's too annoying. Plus when you're basically living with both him and his brother, and you're befriended the cute guy on the block, I don't see a point in having a crush."
"Wait! You're living with them. And did I hear cute guy. And you didn't even tell me till now. Jeez. Well what did I tell you Tiffany, you better come back with one of them as your boyfriend."
"We'll see Avery. We'll see."
We stay silent for a few minutes until Avery decides to speak up. I look up at the screen to see Avery looking confused,
"Um... Tiffany, why is your eyes glowing neon blue?"
Crap. Crap. Crap. Why now stupid elementaret?
"Well it's... it's the effect on Tyler's computer. Cool isn't it!" I exclaim.
If you ask me that was a pretty decent reason.
"Yea it is."
I could hear someone talking on her side of the camera and she screams she'll be there in a moment. Must be her mom.
"Tiffany, I have to go. Skype later?"
"I don't know. I'll see. I'll let you go now, cya!" I wave at her and close the window.
Shit! I didn't ask her about her break up with that chic! Shit. Shit. Shit. Such a good friend I am. Wait a sec, she was sick this morning... she wasn't sniffling cause she was sick, she was sniffling because she was crying.
I hear a door open and turn to see Tyler smirking like he usually does. Crap. Why did I tell her that when he was lingering around.
"Kyle kissed you." That made his smirk turn into a large grin. That's Tyler for you.
"You heard. I don't need to confirm anything and why don't you ask your brother?" I ask with a raised brow but he shakes his head.
"No, I won't because I need to prove something first and way to do that is a make over and a date."
Make over? Date? Hell freaking no. I don't need a make over. Or a date.
"No. No. No. Tyler no." I say with wide eyes, the furniture starts to lift in the air and I know my eyes are neon and well that the elementaret is taking over.
I chant in my head for the furniture to return to normal and surprisingly it did. Well that's a first.
"You did that Little-T. I'm soo proud of you!" He says and rushes forward to give me a tight hug.
"You know for a guy you sure don't act like one." I say through the hug and hug him back awkwardly. "Why do you want me so badly to admit stuff about Kyle?"
"Because I know something you don't." He grins and I raise a brow.
"Ookay. So why do I need a make over and a date?"
"Like I said. I need to prove something." He explains and I shrug.
"What? What do you have to prove?" I exclaim.
"I'll call Aaron."
I shake my head in confusion. He didn't even answer my question and he says he's going to call Aaron... wait! Where have I heard that name before?
"Who?" I ask but suddenly I remember the name and where it came from. Aaron is Callum's brother.
"You don't know him but he's Cal's brother."
Yep. That's right.
"Oh. Tyler," I whine, "I don't want a date or need a make over. Or are you saying I look horrible... in the clothes that you brought me may I add."
He shakes his head violently, "Tiffany. You're beautiful and you don't need a make over. Hmm let me re-phase what I said. Let's dress you up with one of the outfits I brought for you- ah that dress I brought you, you know that cute yellow one with the lace- and then we can put on a touch of make up to enhance your beauty."
I groan. I never really liked dressing up- ever. "And the date?"
"Well, it was just to prove a point. Come on. Do you like Kyle?" He asks me.
That question catches me off guard. Do I like Kyle? Well he's soo annoying he pisses me off, he makes me train until I can't feel my brain working, he's a jerk and he's arrogant. And I hate when he calls me Tiff. I hate how I actually enjoyed his kiss. I just hate his blue eyes and soft brown almost black hair. I hate everything about him.
"No." I exclaim, "Of course not."
"Well I think differently. Now I need to prove something for both your sake's before you lose your sanity."
"Tyler. No. Plus I need to watch Pretty Little Liars." I tell him and he just shakes his head.
"No, you don't." He says with amusement in his tone.
"Oh come on Ty. You know for a fact that I hate dressing up." I whine but he just grins.
"Sit. Now..." He walks to the set of drawers and starts looking through them. Then he opens my closet and flicks through the dresses until he holds one up- the yellow one with the lace along with a set of white lace lingerie.
He went through my lingerie drawer!!
"Put this on. Then we can get started with the rest." Tyler says with a look that says 'don't you even think about not doing as I say'.
I snatch the items off him and go to the bathroom mumbling things to myself about how annoying this is. I put the items on and look in the mirror, well don't I just look like the sun shine... it's just really yellow, athough this outfit is kinda cute if I do say so my self. Especially the lacy fabric.
"Tiffany! Open the door!" Tyler exclaims in an over excited tone while banging on the door.
I roll my eyes, smoothing the skirt out a bit. The three quarter sleeves are kinda cute and strip just under my boobs, making them look bigger. I pull my hair over my left shoulder and smile as I move my head to the other side and my shoulder length hair moves with it.
Looking at my reflection I look deep behind my eyes, my eyes suddenly turning the neon blue again.
I snap out of it as I hear the banging on the door again.
"Tiffany!!" Tyler whines.
"I'm coming! Chill lax." I yell back, looking back at the mirror to see my eyes back to normal.
I open the door and Tyler looks me up and down with a smile of approval. "Here you go." He hands me a pair of four inch heels, with a double yellow and black ankle strap with a gold buckle.
My eyes widen. "No. Tyler the dress was enough, but heels... really? Isn't that a bit too far?" I ask wondering why on earth he wants me to wear a pair of shoes I absolutely hate wearing.
"Cause they go with your outfit. Now, hurry it up. Aaron will be here soon." Tyler says clapping his hands and a hurry up motion.
"You're soo worried about me but what about you? Do you have a girlfriend? Or what?" I say taking a seat on the edge of the bed, putting on the shoes... as told.
"Yea- no. Now for your hair, leave it out. Keep your make up light-"
"Woah. Woah. Woah. Who said I'm wearing make up? I don't wear make up and I don't even know how to apply it apart from mascara and lip gloss." I tell him but he nods,
"Good. That's what you're wearing. And then look complete." He nods.
"Ty. Just a question? Why don't you have a girlfriend? I'm sure any girl will love you." I tell him, with a small smile.
"I guess I lost the girl I was in love with ages ago. Not that that matters. Now, stand up." He ushers. So I do as he says and give him a little twirl. "You look gorgeous as always."
"Can you tell me why you're really doing this Ty? Is there anot-"
He laughs humorlessly, "Little-T, I just want to prove a point. Come on." He says walking out the door.
I stare behind him. What was that? That look in his eye. I can't help but feel like something is missing in this picture.
"Tiffany! You coming?" He calls back.
I linger around for a second just thinking until he pops his head back in the room, looking at me confused.
"Tyler. There's something you're not telling me." I say awkwardly swaying nervously, his eye's lower to the floor. "Tyler?" I say taking a step forward.
"It's nothing. Come on! Aaron's waiting." He says leaving the room without me. The thing was, I wasn't even done with the make up and I should be happy cause I don't have to wear it at all.
Tyler doesn't come back in the room after that and I can't help but wonder what's up.
I walk down the stairs and just as I'm about to turn right, Kyle is about to turn left up the stairs but his eyes linger on me and then they follow all the way down to the shoes taking in every detail.
"Tiff." Kyle nods, walking around me and walking up the stairs. "Have fun on your date."
I swear there was sadness in his tone, or maybe I'm just hearing things. But then again, it is Kyle. What is with these two guys today? Argh. I wish boys weren't soo complicated. I stare at the wall in front of me for a few minutes and sigh.
I walk to the front door feeling, guilty. Why am I feeling guilty?
For Kyle's sadness!
Not that voice again.
You asked for it!
Shut up!!
I shake my head and walk to the front door to see an older version of Callum standing next to Tyler chatting about something. When Tyler looks at me he smiles and gestures for me to come forward.
"Tiffany, this is Aaron. Aaron, this is Tiffany. You know, the one your brother brags about all the time." He says with a big smile. All emotion from minutes before now gone.
"I think I've met you before." Aaron says with a cute grin.
"Hey. Yea, now that I think about it, we have. At the ice cream parlour, right?" I say with a small smile. "Ready to go?" I ask and he nods, holding out a hand and I take it, walking out the house with Aaron by my side.
"Be safe you two!" Tyler calls out behind us. I turn around and glare at him.
"We will. Cya Ty!" Aaron calls back and we soon arrive at his car.
"So, where are we going?" I ask him with a raised brow, taking a seat in the passenger's side.
"I've heard you haven't seen much of the town." He starts and I nod, "Well I'm going to take you to our family's pizzeria first."
"Sounds awesome."
"You do know this isn't a date, right?" My head snaps up to look at him and I sigh in relief. "Cal and Ty have been planning this for weeks. I still don't know why they want to prove a point though." He tells me.
"Well their way of proving points are weird. And for a fact, I absolutely hate dressing up. Tyler chose this whole outfit." I shrug, "As for your brother, he was talking to Tyler about Kyle admitting something."
Aaron starts the car and indicates onto the road.
"Ahh, I see."
"See what?" I ask him. It's probably obvious to him. It may even be obvious to me too, but I don't want to believe it. Never am I going to believe it.
"Uhh, nothing. So how's training going? I heard you're doing well."
"Yep. I need more training. Like heaps more." I say quietly.
"Ok. Well how about after we get pizza, you ditch those clothes and put on some gym clothes, you can borrow some off my sister. And then we can go train. It's better than what the plan was anyways." He says and I can see a small smile on his lips.
"Sure. I need all the help I can get."
So after I had an amazing box of pizza- maybe even better than the one back home- Aaron took me to his house and we changed into gym clothes and now, we are in the deeps of the forest. An amazing view as well. Trees surrounding us all around, a waterfall and a small lake, along with the noises of the wildlife that lives around here.
"Ok. Now what's something you haven't learn't?" He asks me and I turn and look at him weirdly.
"I wouldn't know, seeming there is much more I still need to learn about this power inside me." I tell him and he nods. Pulls out a small little book and starts flicking through pages.
"Uh huh!" He exclaims, pointing to a page. "Have you learn't how to makes things disappear?"
"What?"
"Disappear. You know, make things go away." He explains and I roll my eyes.
"Yea I know what you mean. But is that even possible?"
"Anything is possible. Now try- oh that. Make that football disappear." He says over excitedly and pointing to a spot by the lake where a bright red football lays with dirt on it.
"Whatever you say."
I try what I usually do and chant in my head for it to disappear.
But it doesn't work.
I close my eyes tightly and then open them, something feels different.
"It's not working." I groan.
"Tiffany, trust me. Breathe in and out and then try again." He says.
So I close my eyes, wishing the ball to disappear and when I open my eyes it was gone, and soo was Aaron.
"Aaron?" I call out. I don't get a reply. "Aaron!" I call again. Still no reply.
"Boo!"
"Ahh!!" I scream and turn to glare at Aaron who has a smirk on his lips. "You are such an idiot."
"Oh, I know I am. Now back to training."
So we spent the rest of the afternoon training with everything I had in me. I have really slacked off lately and I need to start training again. I'm soo up for an early morning tomorrow, that might just kick start my powers and sooner or later I'll figure them out on my own.
