Chapter 10
"Derek, please listen to us, okay?" I rush out as I stare into his confused eyes.
"What is it?" I exchange a look with Scott and Stiles before turning back to him.
"This is going to be hard for you to hear, but you need to believe us." I breathe out.
"What?" He raises his brows. "Just get to the point."
"Ms. Blake is the Darach." I say slowly. He stares at me for a while before he shakes his head.
"That's impossible."
"We saw her." Scott defends.
"Then you saw wrong." He crosses his arms over his chest. "She's just a regular high school teacher."
"She took my dad." Stiles speaks up, with glassy eyes. "She's going to kill him."
"It can't be." He mutters turning away from us.
"I wouldn't lie to you, Derek. You know that." I walk towards him. "You need to trust us, okay."
"Derek!" Her voice sounds. My eyes harden as I stare at Derek. Scott grabs my arm before we hide behind a wall. "Derek! Where are you?" She opens the loft doors.
"Right here." Derek says walking toward her with a neutral expression on his face.
"Thank God." She mumbles going toward him and giving him a hug. "Something happened at the recital. At the school." She says stepping away from the hug. "Okay, I need to tell you before you hear it, before you hear any of it from them."
"From who?"
"Scott, Stiles, your sister, Nina. They're gonna tell you things. Things you can't believe. You have to trust me, okay? You trust me." I glare at the back of her head.
She's really playing him, isn't she
"What is it?"
"Promise you'll listen to me." She begs.
"I promise." She leans forward and kisses him. I look away as I feel anger bubbling in my stomach. They break apart and she stares at him.
"They're already here, aren't they?" She steps away from him as Derek glances at us. We take that as our cue and walk out from behind the wall. She turns around to look at us.
"So...they told you it was me? That I'm the one taking people?"
"We told him you're the one killing people." Scott says.
"Oh, that's right." She says with a chuckle. "Committing human sacrifices? What, cutting their throats? Yeah, I probably do it on my lunch hour. That way, I can get back to teaching high school English the rest of the day. That makes perfect sense."
"Where's my dad." Stiles manages to get out.
"How should I know?" She says turning to Derek. "Derek, tell me you don't believe this." He turns his gaze to us and I nod my head.
"Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?"
"No." She says innocently.
"Ask her why she almost killed Lydia." Scott says.
"Lydia Martin? I don't know anything about that."
"You are unbelievable, you know that?" I scoff crossing my arms over my chest. "I saw you with my own eyes. We all did."
"What do you know?" Derek asks.
"I know that these teens, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story." She says. "And one they can't prove, by the way." She turns to us in an almost taunting way.
"What if we can?" Scott asks holding up the bottle of mistletoe. Her face drops.
"What is that?" She asks softer.
"My boss told me it's a poison and a cure." Scott walks forward. "Which means you can use it... and it can be used against you."
"Mistletoe." She says with disgust and fear.
"Bingo." I say smirking as Scott throws it toward her. It clouds around her as she tries to get it away from her. But through the cloud of mistletoe, I see her true form: The Darach. Her white slashed-up face stares back at us. She screeches before the cloud disappears. She changes back to her normal self and slowly turns to face Derek. My heart drops as I see his face.
Broken... pure hurt and betrayal.
Ms. Blake takes her chance and tries to run but Derek is faster as he manages to grab ahold of her neck.
"Derek! Wait, wait!" She begs as his face floods with anger. He flicks out the claws on his other hand as his hard eyes stay trained on her face. "You need me." She gasps.
"What are you?" Derek growls.
"The only person who can save your sister, Cora." I freeze.
she the one who hurt my sister?
"You did that to her!" I yell as I march towards her. Scott grabs my arm and pulls me back.
"Call Peter. Call him!" She gasps. Derek takes his phone out with his other hand and calls Peter.
"How's Cora?" He asks, anger still evident in his voice.
"It's not good. She's in and out of consciousness. She's vomiting up black blood along with one other alarming substance."
My heart drops...
"Mistletoe" Derek says.
"How did you know that?" Derek doesn't respond as he hangs up the phone. His cold eyes stare into hers as he begins squeezing her neck.
"Derek." Scott panics. "Derek, what are you doing?"
"Her life... it's in my hands!" She gasps out. He lifts her up into the air.
"Derek, don't!" I yell taking a stepping forward. "Think about Cora, please! She's dying, Derek!" His eyes falter but his grip doesn't.
"Stilinski, you'll never find him."
"Stop, Derek, Stop!" Stiles steps forward.
"Derek. Derek!" Scott yells. Derek stares at her before dropping her to the ground. She lifts her head up slowly with a smirk planted on her face.
"That's right. You need me." Her eyes move to each of us. "All of you."
"I don't know, something feels wrong about this." Stiles breathes out as he keeps his eyes on the road. "You know, we proved it to Derek, but she still had this look like it didn't matter. You know, like it was all still going according to plan." Stiles glances at us. "You guys saw it, didn't you?"
"Yeah, I saw it." I say bitterly as her smug face swims in my mind. "Wish I could unsee it though."
"You and me both." Stiles says with a sigh, glancing at me in the rearview mirror. I rest my head against the window and stare outside.
I have this gut feeling that we're playing right into the palm of her hand. And the fact that she is the one who hurt Cora sickens me to my core.
The jeep jerks to a stop in front of the hospital. We all pile out into the rain and thunder outside. I rush to the entrance with Scott and Stiles on my tail.
"What's that?" Scott yells over the sound of the rain. I follow his gaze and roll my eyes.
"Well, you two have claws and I have a bat." He says motioning towards the wooden baseball bat in his hand.
"I don't think a wooden bat is going to help, Stiles." I say, with a little chuckle.
"This bat-" He says motioning towards it. "-will help more than your little claws."
"Can you stab a person with a wooden bat?" He looks down at the bat before meeting my eyes. "Well, I can, Stiles." He scoffs as we walk inside. I constantly move out of the way of nurses and patients as they rush in and out of the hospital. We meet Derek inside who has his hand firmly attached to Ms. Blake's arm.
"Scott!" Someone shouts. "Scott." I turn around to see Scott's mom running towards him.
"What are you doing here? The hospitals evacuating." She rushes out.
"We're here for Cora."
"All of you?" She asks glancing at us. Her eyes drop down to the bat in Stiles' hand. "Why does Stiles have my bat?" She questions. I turn my head to Stiles with a smirk on my lips.
"Her bat?"
"Well...umm." He says quickly looking away.
"Mom, just trust me on this. You need to get out of here. Right now." She glances around the room before meeting Scott's gaze again.
"The building is supposed to be clear in 30 minutes. We've got two ambulances that are coming back. One's 10 minutes out, the other's 20. Cora needs to be on one of those. They'll be picking up in the basement garage." Scott nods before walking back.
"Got it." He says before following us down the hall while stealing glances at his mother. We reach the elevator and get inside.
"You don't have to keep me on a leash, Derek. I'm going to help." Derek doesn't give her the time of day. She looks to her left to see me standing there, leaning against the wall. I tilt my head a little to the side and glow my eyes at her. She rolls hers before looking over at Scott. He stands behind her to the left looking equally as angry as I feel. She slowly turns back to the front before turning her head to Stiles, who stands behind her to the right. He holds the bat up high trying to glare at her as angrily as he can at her.
he's trying at least
"You see," I say, leaning forward. "You're not going anywhere."
"I wasn't planning to." She keeps her head looking forward. The elevator finally dings and the door opens. We get out and begin walking to Cora's room. The lights start flickering down the barren hallway.
creepy
I get to her room and stiffen. Her bed is empty and black blood mixed with mistletoe is spread out on the floor. Leading away from the puddle are little drops. I follow them and look down the hall at the closed double doors. I take a step back as I hear growls from beyond them. I jump as the door swings open as someone skids across the floor and stops at our feet.
"We got a problem." Peter looks at us then at the doors where he came from. "Big problem." I follow his gaze to see the twin's morphed werewolf form.
great
Beside me, Stiles slowly brings up his bat. I shake my head as I turn my gaze back to the Voltron wolf. Derek makes a move first and shifts into his werewolf form, eyes glowing red, as he growls at them. They run at each other. Derek grabs the Voltron wolf and pushes them backward, but they hit Derek's back. Derek recovers and lands a punch on their side only to end up being punched in the face himself. Derek staggers backward as Scott charges forward. They slam Derek into the wall as he falls to the floor with a thud. Scott runs up the wall and jumps down at the Voltron Wolf, but they dodge.
"Help me." Stiles nudges Peter, then turns his gaze to me. "Watch her." I grab ahold of Ms. Blake's arm as Peter and Stiles run past the Voltron Wolf to Cora's unconscious body.
"Ethan, Aiden, stop! You don't know what you're doing." Scott gasps while the Voltron Wolf has him pinned against the wall by his neck.
"All we want is her." They reply. Searing pain suddenly travels up my arm as I hear a crack. I let go of her and cradle my broken arm.
"You little-" I go to attack her but she pushes me back. My body flies down the hallway and stops by the Voltron Wolf. I groan and rub my head. The Voltron Wolf charges down the hallway but it's too late. Ms. Blake is already in the elevator. She gives us one last look before the elevator doors slam shut.
We all exchange looks before getting up and running down the hallway away from them. I run through multiple doors as I hear their footsteps approaching.
"Don't stop! Don't Stop!" Derek yells as we run.
I glance behind me and notice Stiles looking down at his bat and at the doors that we came from.
He wouldn't.
Stiles runs to stand by the door, his hand raised with the bat.
He would.
"Stiles!" Derek yells. He begins walking towards him as the door swings open. The Voltron Wolf walks through the door as Stiles brings the bat down onto their head. The bat shatters into pieces while the Voltron Wolf looks mildly annoyed. Stiles stares at the broken handle incredulously before looking up at their murderous glare. They growl at him as he quickly rushes to where we are. Derek lifts Scott up and the latter uses his claws to drag the light down to hit the Voltron Wolf.
"You still think a wooden bat is better than claws, Stiles?" I shake my head at him as we begin running down the hallway. He lets out a huff of air as we continue. We reach an operating room and close the doors behind us. Peter places Cora on the table as I run to her side. I grab ahold of her hand and I stare at her pale face.
please be okay...
"Where's the big guy?" Stiles asks.
"He's close." Derek replies, looking out the window.
"What about Miss Blake?"
"She got away." I shake my head. "After breaking my bloody arm." I mutter.
"Like she's gone? Are you kidding me?" Stiles says his voice rising.
"Shh, quiet." Derek scolds.
"Me be quiet? Me, huh?" Stiles says walking towards Derek. "Are you telling me what to do now? When your psychotic, mass-murdering girlfriend... the second one you've dated, by the way... has got my dad somewhere, tied up, waiting to be ritually sacrificed?"
"Stiles, they're still out there." Scott says calmly.
"And... and they want her, right? Which means now we don't have her either, so my dad and Cora are both dead!" Stiles glares at Derek's face.
"Not yet." Scott approaches me. "Is she really dying?" My eyes move over to Cora's face.
"I don't know, Scott." I say softly, squeezing her hand.
please be okay...
"She's definitely not getting any better." Peter adds.
"There has to be something that we can do. We have to help her." Scott worries as the doors suddenly swing open.
"You can't." Ms. Blake says. "Only I can. I can save her, and I can tell you where Sheriff Stilinski is. But there is a pack of alphas in this hospital who want me dead. So I'll help you... but only when I'm out of here and safe." She looks at each and every one of us. "Only then." Derek pushes a table out the way and charges at her.
"Derek wait!" Scott puts his hand out and stops him.
"She was trying to get out." Derek points aggressively at her.
"I was trying to keep from getting killed. You can't blame me for that."
"If you want to show you're one of the good guys, then heal her."
"Not until I'm safe."
"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion." Peter speaks up. "Let's torture her."
"Works for me." Derek agrees.
"Me first." I glare, cracking my knuckles.
"Um, can I have your attention?" A terrified Ms. McCall sounds over the intercom. My eyes lock onto Scott's wide ones. "Mr. Deucalion... excuse me, just Deucalion... Requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the E.R. reception. Do this, and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes." I slowly grab his hand and give it a reassuring squeeze before letting go. His panicked eyes move to my own before Ms. Blake speaks up.
"He's not gonna hurt her." Ms. Blake rolls her eyes.
"Shut up." Derek exclaims.
"He won't! Scott, you know why. Tell them it's true." I look up at him.
"What does she mean?" Derek glances at him. Ms. Blake looks at him expectantly. When he doesn't say anything she rolls her eyes.
"You're not the only one he wants in his pack." She looks over at Derek.
"Deucalion doesn't just want an Alpha pack. He wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of Alphas to his ranks."
"A True Alpha." Peter mutters.
True Alpha? Those actually exist?
Scott's red eyes flash in my mind from the abandoned mall. Their luminous red color.
it's true...
"What's that?" Stiles asks.
"The kind that doesn't have to steal his power from another. One that can rise by the force of his own will. Our little Scott." Peter says looking at Scott with... pride?
"It doesn't matter. " Scott shakes his head. I look up at him again in surprise.
Even after finding out that he's the rarest of all Alphas, he's still humble. Most people would boast about it and act all cocky... but not Scott. Then again it's the rarest type for a reason, most people aren't that humble.
"We still need to get her out of here." Scott continues.
"Scott, your mom." Stiles steps forward.
"My mom said there's one more ambulance coming in 20 minutes. And I don't think we've been here that long, so if we can get down to the garage, get to the last ambulance, we can get out of here."
"The twins aren't gonna let us just walk out." Peter brings up.
"I'll distract them."
"You mean fight them." Derek turns to him.
"Whatever I have to do."
"Remember what happened last time you tried to fight them?" I say. "It didn't end well."
"I'll help him." Derek says to me.
"Um, sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek." Ms. Blake turns to him.
"I'll help you then." I say.
"Um, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but have you seen the size of yourself compared to the Voltron Wolf." Ms. Blake looks to me. "You wouldn't stand a chance." I slowly turn my head towards her.
"No one asked for your opinion, Miss." I say through clenched teeth, my glare firmly placed on her.
"I'll help as well." I turn my gaze to Peter. "But I prefer to be out there with an advantage."
"An advantage like what? You mean like a weapon?" Stiles asks.
"Something better than a baseball bat." Peter deadpans. I give Stiles a smug look causing him to roll his eyes. I immediately start looking for anything that can help us against the Voltron wolf. I look through the fifth drawer but still, all I find are syringes and medicine.
"Hey, wait. What about these?" Stiles says holding up a defibrillator.
"Do you know how to use those?" Derek raises his brows.
"Well, no" Stiles says looking at them.
"Put 'em down." Stiles does as he says while I just shake my head and continue searching.
"Epinephrine?" Scott says holding up a big syringe.
"That's only gonna make him stronger." Peter perks up at Derek's words.
"How strong."
this can't end well...
"You can't expect this to actually work." I roll my eyes at Peter as he stares down at the syringe in his chest
"We're about to find out." He pulls the syringe out and tosses it to the side. "Alright boys, let's rumble." Peter growls at the Twins before charging at them. The Twins, now Voltron Wolf, toss Peter to the side like nothing. Scott begins slashing at them but they manage to grab him and toss him away.
"My turn." I whisper before running at them. I skid across the floor as Peter slashes their back. While they are distracted I slash their legs.
not bad, huh, Ms. Blake...
They suddenly grab me by my throat and throw me into the wall. I glance to the side and see Stiles giving me a thumbs up before rounding the corner.
"Nina." Peter whispers to me as he gets ready to run while the Voltron Wolf is distracted. I get to my feet as I suddenly feel a sharp pain along my back. I turn around and come face to face with the gigantic mutant wolf. They bring their claws up again but someone grabs it. Scott pushes them back before grabbing onto my hand.
"Let's go." He pulls me along as we run down the hall. Peter sits with his back against the wall as he breathes heavily. Scott lets go of my hand and helps him up.
"Well, that shot didn't last long." He mutters getting to his feet. We begin hobbling down the hallway before entering a random room.
"Those twins are really starting to piss me off." Peter breathes out.
"You and me both." I mutter trying to catch my breath.
"How the hell are we supposed to get past them?" Scott looks away from the door.
"Personally, I think if we keep letting them beat the living crap out of us, they'll tire and give up."
"I volunteer you to test that theory." I mutter. Scott's eyes lock onto something in the corner of the room. I follow his gaze and squeeze my eyes shut.
this cannot end well...
Peter lets out a breath before going through the laundry chute. Scott turns his gaze to me.
"You go first, then I'll go."
"You can go first." I gently push him forwards. He nods before going down after Peter. I wait a few seconds before letting out a breath.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." I mutter before going down the chute. I expect to land on something soft but instead, I feel something harder than laundry. My eyes widen.
"Scott! I'm so sorry."
"It's okay." He breathes out. I try to lift myself up, but my foot gets caught and I end up falling back on him.
"Sorry." I mutter as I look into his eyes. My eyes soften as I stare into his brown ones. I never noticed the little golden fleck in his left eye as it glitters in the light. That's new... For a moment I end up forgetting where we are and what we're even doing. His own eyes stay locked on my own before they glance down to my lips...
"Could you get off?" A muffled voice interrupts us.
"Peter!" I jump away from Scott as I feel my cheeks getting warmer.
"Yes, that's me. Now get off." Scott helps lift me up and I manage to get my feet on the ground. Peter pushes Scott off him and sends him a glare. "You couldn't have waited, like, ten seconds?" Peter then turns his glare to me. "And you..."
"I tripped." I say innocently with a shrug.
"Tripped my-" Scott's phone buzzes and he takes it out to read the message. His face drops.
"What?" I ask looking over his shoulder to see the message from Derek.
Stuck in an elevator with Jennifer.
"They didn't get out, did they?" Peter asks.
"What do you think." I look over to his annoyed face. Scott and Peter get out of the basket as we make our way to the outside of the hospital. Peter begins to stumble so I roll my eyes as Scott and I help carry him.
"Who's the big bad werewolf now, huh?"
"When you die and get resurrected, then we'll talk." We make it outside the hospital and dart our eyes around for the ambulance.
"There." I say as I spot it.
"Stiles!" Scott yells as we approach it. "Stiles, open the door!"
"Sorry." He mutters as he opens it.
"Help us get him in." Stiles grabs Peter's arm and puts him on the empty seat.
"Where's Derek and Jennifer?" Stiles asks.
"I have to go back for them and my mom." Scott breathes out.
"Okay, two problems. Kali's got the keys to this thing, and I just saw the twins, like, 30 seconds ago." Scott darts his eyes around before looking back at him.
"Stay here." He begins running, but I stop him by grabbing his shoulder.
"Scott!" He turns around to look at me. "I'm coming too."
"No, it's too risky."
"I can look after myself, you know that."
"Just stay here and look after them."
"But-" I start.
"Please." He looks into my eyes with his pleading ones. I study them as a million thoughts flood through my head.
"Okay." I breathe out after a while. "Be careful, okay."
"You too." His eyes stare into mine for a moment before he turns around and runs towards the entrance.
"Nina! Come on." Stiles calls from behind me. I hesitantly turn around toward the ambulance but stop.
Scott needs my help. What happens if he runs into the Twins, Kali or Deucalion. One beta, almost True Alpha, isn't strong enough to handle them all on his own.
But Scott told me to stay here...
"Ah screw it!" I turn around and run after Scott. I run through the hallways as I try to pick up on his scent.
come on, Scott
I suddenly hear growls up ahead. I run in that direction to see Scott being held up by the throat by the Voltron Wolf. I charge and push them to the side. Scott falls to the floor and gasps for breath.
"I thought I told you to stay." He exclaims as I grab his arm to lift him up.
"What can I say I'm too stubborn." He stands up, right in front of me. "It's in my genes."
"I'm glad." He breathes out staring into my eyes. The Voltron Wolf lets out a loud roar.
"We should run." I turn my wide eyes back to him. He nods fervently and we take off in the opposite direction. "This way." I rush as I open a door to a storage room. We go inside and I close the door gently. "Subtle." I gasp as footsteps sound outside as they approach. Scott places a hand over my mouth and pulls me closer to him. My eyes widen as I stare up into his eyes.
We wait in silence for a few moments until the footsteps disappear down the hall. Scott slowly removes his hand from my mouth but keeps his eyes on mine.
"I think they're gone." He whispers.
"Yeah." I breathe out softly. My eyes stay trained on his own ones until I can't resist the urge to glance down at his lips...
what are doing! this is not the time for that?
I bring my wide eyes back up to his quickly to see them still looking at my own.
Bang
I jump backward as the Voltron Wolf pounds on the door. It swings open as they face us. Scott steps in front of me and charges forward pushing them into the adjacent wall. I step out of the room as Scott begins slashing their chest. They manage to grab onto his neck and push him into the wall. I run forward and slash at their back only to be pushed to the ground, knocking my head into the wall. They turn back to Scott and lift him up by his neck.
"Where is she?" They exclaim. "We're trying not to hurt you."
"Try harder." Scott gasps out.
"Hey!" I whip my head around to see Ms. McCall standing with a defibrillator in her hands. "I'd like to try something." They turn around to face her but she places the defibrillator onto their chest sending them flying back into their separate selves. I clamber to my feet and stare at Ms. McCall.
she's okay...
"Sweetheart, get up!" She puts a hand out for Scott to grab and then we sprint our way down the hallway.
"He just let me go, said it was a gesture of goodwill." Ms. McCall explains as we go through a set of doors. "No other reason."
"He had to have a reason." Scott turns to look at her. "I don't think he does anything without a reason."
"Scott's right. This guy is a savage, he wouldn't just let you go without a purpose."
"Well, if that means I should continue to be profoundly terrified, then don't worry about it. I got that covered."
I freeze. Scott puts his hand out in front of us. He exchanges a glance with me before slowly walking forward. I follow him as I hear a gun clock.
hunters...
I flick my claws out as a gun is raised to my face. I let out a growl but Scott places a hand on my shoulder.
"Whoa, it's okay." I study the faces of the three people in front of me. Allison, Isaac and another man with a gun... Allison's father? The man lowers his gun slowly.
"Sorry." I mutter stepping back. "Bad memories." The man looks at me for a moment before turning to look at Allison. I get a sinking feeling in my chest as a thought suddenly crosses my mind.
"Who is he?" I whisper over to Scott. He glances at me before looking over at the man.
"Uh- Chris. Allison's father."
"What's your last name." I ask him, my voice hardening. I already know the answer though. There are not many werewolf-hunting families in Beacon Hills.
"Argent." It still hits me like a bus.
Argent...
I growl and move forward but Scott quickly pulls me back as Argent's grip on his gun tightens.
"It wasn't them, okay?" Scott turns me to look at him. "It was his sister, Allison's aunt. She killed your family not them."
She killed my family... An Argent murdered my family in cold blood.
But they had nothing to do with it... why else would Scott trust them? They have to be the good guys.
But they're hunters... and all hunters are all the same.
Unless...
"Okay." I mutter out weakly as Scott releases his grip from me. "Sorry." I turn to Argent and Allison. "Bad memories." He nods before looking down the hall.
"Come on." He says as we begin walking down a hallway and into an operating room. "Where is she?"
"She's in the elevator with Derek, but there's no power." Scott informs.
"So they're essentially trapped?"
"Yeah, right."
"But there's no way of getting them out without turning the power back on." Isaac brings up.
"But wait, wait, wait. If the power's back on, they're gonna hear the elevator moving, right?" Ms. McCall rushes out.
"And they'll be on Jennifer and Derek as soon as it stops." Scott shakes his head. "We can't get in a fight with them."
"You've got us now." Argent motions to Allison.
"It's too much of a risk. They want her head, and if she dies there's nothing we can do for Stiles' dad or Cora."
"I don't even think I know which teacher this is."
"She's... she's the one with the brown hair." Isaac informs. "She's kind of hot." I squint my eyes and turn to look at him.
"Not the time, Isaac." I shake my head.
"It's... just an observation." He stutters before Allison speaks up.
"I've got an idea."
"This plan is either genius or stupidly moronic." I cross my hands over my chest.
"It'll work, okay." Scott turns to look at me. "Allison and her father are good at what they do." I don't say anything but turn my vision to the front.
"Let's keep moving." I take steps forward and after a few seconds Scott catches up to me. He opens his mouth to say something but the lights in the hallway suddenly turn on. "Let's go." We sprint down towards the elevator. As I get closer I feel my body stiffen.
"Derek!" I bend down next to him and shake his shoulders. "Ms. Blake? Scott, she's gone." I turn to look at him, but his gaze is focused on the open latch at the top of the elevator.
"Mom." His eyes widen as he sprints down the hall.
"Scott!" Stiles' voice sounds behind. I whip my head around and see him sprinting towards the elevator. He comes to a stop and stares at Derek's body before running off after Scott. My eyes widen as everything sinks in.
The Darach has Scott's mom...
I give one last glance to Derek before rushing off after Stiles. I reach the rooftop and freeze. Scott takes slow steps towards... Deucalion?
why is Scott walking towards the bad guy?
"Scott! What are you doing?" I stop next to Stiles as his head turns around slightly.
"I don't know what else to do."
"No, there's g... Scott, there's got to be something else, okay? We always... we always have a plan B." Stiles panics.
"Not this time." He turns around fully and my heart drops as I see his glassy eyes. The same broken, hopeless eyes from the Glen Capri.
"Scott..." Stiles trails off.
"I'm gonna find your dad. I promise."
"Scott!" He yells as his best friend continues walking away.
"Scott, Don't please." I plead walking up to him. I grab his hand to spin him around. "Scott, don't. They kill innocent people. I've seen it. You're not like them. Scott, please."
"I'm sorry." Scott says weakly as he pulls his hand from mine. "I have to." He looks into my eyes before turning around and walking to Deucalion.
"Scott!" Stiles yells.
But he's already gone into the mist...
