*Autumn's P.O.V.*

After my appointment, I walked back to my apartment. I was debating whether to go to work or not. I would like to think that she wouldn't go all the way with punishing me since I just started being their little. I could obviously be wrong so I wasn't going to get my hopes up about that but I think they'd be late if they were to punish me. In their defense, they can't keep me there overtime unless I have work I didn't get finished with that day or if I just wanted to stay there and do more work.

I could just stay home but then Kristen would call me and if I didn't answer then Mr. and Mrs. Hornsby would be worried and chances are they would come look for me or I would just be in more trouble.  What am I thinking? I sound ungrateful that I'm even an intern there. I should've decided to work in another chain if I'm going to act like this. I need to stop running away from my problems.

I ended up getting distracted by debating if I should go to work or not. My apartment was closer so I chose not to. I climbed up the stairs and I walked to my apartment door. I unlocked the door but it was immediately shut from the other side. I heard a laugh.

"Steven, stop it. Can you just let me in?" I begged. I had no response so I knocked on the door then tried to open it again, It shut.

"No, it's my apartment now. You're not coming back in until I get cookies. All you have is ramen and bananas and I'm not going to eat that for the rest of the time I'm here," He argued. I pouted as I crossed my arms.

"I'm not going to get you cookies. I had no heads up that you were coming here so why should I have to get you cookies? You could've called me and told me since your parents wouldn't. You're almost an adult. Use your own money and get your own cookies," I responded. I heard silence for a few moments but then the door opened. "Thank you," I said. He threw my bananas which fell from the second floor to the parking lot then he shut the door and locked it.

"No problem, they were starting to rot. Go get me cookies and I will let you back in," He said. I ran back down the stairs to get my bananas. At least I was going to. They were in a mud puddle and he peeled a part of all of them. This was my sign that I should go to work.

I scurried to work because there was a chance I could be late again. I bet my performance is terrible.  I kept walking in puddles which made my legs and shoes have mud all over them. I could wash that off if I just went to the bathroom so I ignored that. I finally made it with just 5 minutes until I needed to clock in. I went inside and into the bathroom. I took my shoes off and turned a sink on. I washed them with my hands until all of the mud was gone then put them back on. I realized that this was not going to be easy with my legs because I'm not flexible and I'm a bit small. I slowly raised my left leg and placed in into the sink.

"That was actually easy," I mumbled with a small smile. I washed my leg off and attempted to get it out the sink. It was stuck. I jumped on my other leg and slowly pulled my leg with my hands. I was losing balance on the leg I was jumping on. I figured that my leg would just come down if I fell so I let myself fall. I hit my head on the tiled floor which resulted in me having a headache. I heard footsteps approaching the bathroom door. The door opened and the footsteps kept getting louder and louder. They walked to where I could see them from where my head was positioned.

"Are you alright Autumn?" She asked. She looked in the sink and seen mud. She looked back over at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes I'm fine," I replied. She smiled back at me. "Are you alright?" I asked. She slowly nodded her head. "I don't believe that," I mumbled.

"What was that?" She questioned. I grinned back at her.

"Oh nothing, It's just that you look...never mind," I joked. Her mouth slightly widened.

"Okay well why are you on the bathroom floor? It has germs all over it," She asked.

"It was nice talking to you but I need to clock in. We'll talk later!" I said as I got up and walked out the door to the elevator. I didn't have much balance as I was walking. I held onto the wall and pushed the down button. The elevator door opened. I got in and held onto the railing. I didn't even think I fell too hard. I had forgotten that I had mud on my other leg that I hadn't cleaned off. I rested my head on the side of the elevator until the door opened.

I was getting deja vu and I didn't know why. The elevator door opened. I didn't bother knocking on Mr. Hornsby's door. I walked in and heard Mrs. Hornsby talking to Mr. Hornsby about me. She looked up at me and I could see it in one of her eyes that she didn't forget about yesterday but the other one looked worried.

"Autumn, are you feeling okay? You look quite pale," She questioned.

"And stoned," Mr. Hornsby added. Mrs. Hornsby put her elbow in his side.

"I suggest you be quiet," She whispered to him. He rolled his eyes at her.

"I'm fine. Jeez why do people keep asking me if I'm okay," I complained.

"Okay then, do you have the note?" she asked. I slowly walked up to her while holding onto everything I passed and gave it to her. "Thank you," she smiled. Mr. Hornsby kept watching my every move. He was looking into my eyes. Did he really think that I was high? He looked back down and started writing something. He put his pen down and just stared at the paper. Mrs. Hornsby looked over at him then looked down at the paper. She put her head up and looked at my eyes.

"I'm not high. Even if I was or am, I'm of age. Leave me the hell alone about this shit," I argued.
