At the earliest moment as Noah settled himself in the car's back seat, after making an

exit from Sophia's mansion, he gave authoritarian commandments to Stefan.

"Trail around Sophia and this time don't let her slip away like last time."

"Yes sir."

Stefan replied, nodding her head and purring engine to get the car started and drive off.

Once reached Norfolk from Edenton, Stefan again apprehended Noah saying.

"Drive to James' place."

Without saying a word, Stefan directed his car towards Arthur's mansion.

On reaching his desired destination, Noah got off his car and entered the mansion as if he owns it.

As soon as he set his foot in, he was welcomed by the butler who bowed down before asking him;

"Sir, you came to meet?"

After passing him a long stare, Noah let go his warm breath and spoke in a heavy thundering voice.

"Mr. James."

"Sure sir, please have a seat while I call for Mr. James."

Butler spoke showing him the direction so as to approach the arranged Sofas.

"I don't have time for these formalities, ask Mr. James to hasten up and wear down in walking."

Noah instructed the butler as if he is his' butler.

"Sure sir."

Listening to his instructions, butler replied pushing the lump down his throat.

Running in the direction of dinning area, butler went in and called for Arthur to meet Noah.

"Good morning Mr. Tavlor. Acquaint me with. what brought, vou here?"

Arthur shook his hand with Noah's and walked him near chesterfield to be seated.

"To have a business deal."

Without fudging the issue, Noah spoke directly coming to the point.

"Yes please. Tell me what's the deal."

Arthur asked Noah, giving him all his ears.

"Mr. James, in an hour or so, Sophia will drop round to see you, asking for money. But, you won't lend her."

And what Noah said a moment ago, was not just a mere statement but a strict ordinance.

Getting Sophia's name out of this man's mouth set Arthur to think, and many questions manifested themselves to the surface. But the principal one was, how the two of them are associated with each other.

"And in consideration, I am in a fit state to act in accordance with your solicitation of Forty percentage profit share."

"And why I won't?"

Arthur asked with a straight face.

"Cause I want you to."

Arthur remained hushed for several minutes not able to speak anything or revert back to Noah.

"I am sorry Mr. Taylor, but in my opinion, you took the wrong notes. I am not someone who just for some trivial shares would give in part-exchange of my friendship. I don't know what relationship you share or hold with Sophia for now, but she is like my own daughter, my own child and if she is in need of my help, I will come to her rescue, on any occasion."

Noah let out a loud frustrated breath, he felt as if his patience is being tried. Closing his eyes shut, he reopened the silvery sharp hawk like eyes again and smiling he looked at Arthur, this time with more fierce and a treacherous gaze.

"Fine than, I have no other possible course of action, but will have to break the news to

your actual daughter that her Dad loves his' alike daughter more than her."

Arthur got discombobulate at what Noah meant by saying so and frowning he enquired.

"What?"

"I don't think Lisa is conversant of fact of being an adopted child?"

Noah threw words on Arthur's face smiling arrogantly.

Seconds spun to minutes, and Arthur remained completely quiet, he was not able to utter a thing out of his mouth, just kept looking at Noah with a expressionless gaze. How did these enlightenment surfaced up and he have accomplishment off? Arthur was still busy in processing these things out, when Noah got up from his seat and spoke,

"I don't have an eternity to wait for you and look at your this inscrutable face. If you will lend her any amount, I'll toot sweet come to know and succeeding that brace yourself to say a sweet goodbye to the daughter of yours."

Saying his part, Noah strode out of the mansion, to proceed towards his car. "Drive home."

Letting his head fall back, Noah closed his steal eyes, and his mind was tenanted by

the spitting image of how beautiful Sophia was looking while sleeping, bringing peace to his brain calming the raging tempest.

It was past noon, when Stefan received a call from Noah.

"Sir?"

"Where is she?"

Noah asked almost immediately, without waiting for even a second.

"In the cemetery."

Stefan gave him the update.

"And?"

"Sir and? She is in."

Stefan got confused, not understanding what Noah wants to know.

"Is she crying?"

Stefan remained uncommunicative without responding. How the hell is he supposed to

know the answer to this question, when he is outside and Sophia is in?

In the ludicrousness of his obsession over Sophia, Noah have lost his sanity, Stefan thought.

"Mmm."

Stefan gave positive reaction, if he wouldn't have had, he again would have got a good scolding from Noah.

"And how do you have knowledge off? Did you checked on her?"

Stefan again went soundless. At last Noah asked the question Stefan was afraid of. Why the hell Noah is doing this to him, when he always have been present there for Noah.

This is why you should never assist a psycho, came the final conclusion for Stefan. "Sir, shall I check her?"

Stefan asked gathering all his courage.

"No need."

Noah replied in a stern voice and again spoke.

"When she will be off to Edenton, tread on the heels of the bus and make certain that she cautiously reaches the home."

"Sure sir."

Stefan hanged up the call subsequent to getting Noah's pronouncements properly imprinted to his brain.

When night arrived, Noah was still behind the desk working in his system.

As it was past the working hour, he had shredded his coat and with his glasses on and loosely hanging tie around his neck, he was unconditionally immersed in his work when his ears suddenly perceived the pitter patter of large rain drops hitting the glass surface of the bay window covering one side of the wall of his cabin.

Taking his eyes off of the system, Noah rotated his seat for himself to face the window looking at thunderous angry weather.

Getting up from his chair and walking near the bay window, he placed his palm on the cold glass surface and thought,

'Is Edenton have the same weather.'

Since Sophia was not in the same city, Noah felt companionless. Although he didn't

use to spend the whole day with her but when she is not in the same city it felt as if without her this city is lonesome.

He was blue-water submerged in Sophia's thoughts, when he received a call and looking at the screen he found it to be from the vary same person who had captured his heart in her prison.

His straight lips curled up to a smile which then metamorphosed to a cunning smirk.

At last, they both came to a good accordance.

Receiving the call, he spoke with mischievous voice.

"You called quite early than expected."

Noah kept waiting for reply from the other end but nothing came. After several

seconds, Noah spoke again.

"Sophia?"

But this time around he did received a reply, although in slurry words.

"I want to meet you."

Silence maintained between both of them for seconds before Noah spoke again. "Are you drunk?"

But his question was never answered, instead Sophia threw another instruction on his

face.

"Now."

Without letting out another word, Noah hanged up the call and strode out of his cabin to the direction of elevator.

Before stepping in the elevator, he made a call to his driver.

"Bring the car near the front office, and I will drive myself."

Without waiting for his reply, he hanged up the call and got in the elevator to bring himself to the ground floor.

Getting out of the building, he found his car parked at the head and driver standing out of it, waiting for him to pass the keys.

As soon as he saw Noah he bowed and handing over the keys walked off. Getting himself in the car, Noah droved at the maximum momentum in the vicinity of Edenton. As it was not a rush hour, he found it quite easy to cross the city and reach the out skirts where he was able to drive freely.

Throughout the way, he only had one thought, 'Why would she get herself drunk, when she is all alone, unchaperoned, that too in a completely new place.

He tried his best to set his foot on Edenton in the earliest moment possible and cover

the distance in less than an hour.

Once near the gate, he walked out of the car to unbolt the rusty gates and getting himself drenched in process.

Parking his car in already dried lawn, Noah again walked in rain in order to reach the main door that he broke last night and had it mended in the morning.

Walking near the door, he rang the bell, once, twice and thrice. But no one answered, no one opened the door.

And when at the length his patience was wearing off, he walked back in the rain and was about to run towards the door with intention of breaking it for the second time. But just at the moment, the door swung open, and fountainhead of his tranquillity came to the view, wearing thigh length white chemise and foot long shrug above it. As always beautiful, but this time Noah didn't liked the view, as Sophia was holding a wine bottle in one hand and laughing like some maniac. But what disturbed him the most was her tears smeared face.

He never have ever seen Sophia this broke to the extent, where she is laughing along

with shedding tears as if have reached the edge.

"Sophia, sweetheart."

Noah entered the mansion and spoke holding her cheeks in his wet freezing palms

which Sophia without hesitation brushed off and slurred.

"I am done. Let's get married."

Noah knew somewhere that Sophia would agree either now or later to marry him, but

when he actually heard those words coming out of her mouth, he felt quite different that can't be described in words.

"You want to marry me so as to encage your obsession? So as to have my body? Fine." Sophia spoke again in a low voice before screaming.

"I will marry you. I am selling my body for this memory, where we are standing for you to do whatever you wish to. But you will never achieve my soul Noah, never." Hearing her statement Noah looked at her, letting lava like anger out from his gaze before smirking and speaking.

"Darling, you really think these sentiments will move me? Than you took me too lightly."

Silver thunderbolts echoed around in the atmosphere and hit the earth surface.

Sophia looked at him for seconds, her already intoxicated brain was not able to register his words. With little what she understood, she spoke.

"Hate I boor for you will one day move you. You will understand the real meaning of love and what wrong you have done to me."

Weather was showing its worst phase. Rain drops pouring and hitting the earth surface

increased many folds along with slated thunderbolt tearing and becoming visible in between the darken clouds.

"I already know what love is. I do-"

But before Noah could complete his sentence, the wine bottle fell and smashed on the ground splashing all the wine in floor and Sophia loosing her conscious in drunk state was about to fall as well on the ground. But before that could happen she was caught

by Noah. Picking her up in bridal style to secure her feet from smashed glasses, Noah sat on couch, placing her in his lap and her shoulder and face on his chest.

Placing his palm on her cheeks, Noah murmured,

"Sleep sweetest, you had a long day."

After sometimes, again picking her up Noah climbed stairs up to Sophia's room and

put Sophia in her bed.

Walking few steps away, Noah discarded his wet shirt exposing his perfect carved chest and biceps and closed the window to stop the cold breeze entering the room. He again walked back to the bed and sat by the side of Sophia and brushing her milky

cheeks with his cold long fingers, removing strands of hairs falling over her face, he spoke in a low heavy voice.

"Once sobered up in the morning, will you again deny to marry me?"
