Silver fangs?
Sliver streak?
Silver tongue?
So does that mean that that his saliva is silver or is he made of mercury-
'Oh for fucks sake Skaitra! What are you talking about? There is no way that Drake is made of mercury!' Lani shouted at me.
I scoffed. "Pssh, you can't prove that."
"Prove what?" I looked up to see them standing there. All of six them might I add. JaCole, Sean, Jacob, Chayce, Leon and the Devil himself Drake.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
Drake smirked and so did Leon and Chayce. JaCole and Sean smiled down at me while Jacob shook his head with a deep chuckle.
'Can they stop torching me now?' Lani laughed.
'They haven't even done anything yet.' I said.
'Key word is 'yet' . She mused.
I nearly cracked a smile when Drake spoke. "Get ready-"
"For what?" I queried.
He blinked at me. Clearly he has never been interrupted or if is, he doesn't like it.....Well he better get used to it. "Today, you will be assessed, as a new member of the Blood Eclipse, you will have to prove your abilities, skills as I might add and after that you will have a proper induction into our pack, do you understand?" Drake raised his eyebrow as I stared at him.
'Prove my abilities'
'Proper induction'. I smirked as the words ran through my head then rolled my eyes.
I rolled off the bed and stood up while my mates' eyes still lingered on me.
I clasped my hands together and spoke. "Drake, maybe the whole 'big bad alpha' thing has gone to your head" He was about to speak when I shushed him and he blinked at me and looked at his brothers, I saw his head still for a minute and so did theirs, then those sterling eyes fell back on me again.
I smirked. "I don't know if you have probably forgotten that I am from the Dark Heart wolf pack, where some of the best wolf warriors in the world call family, and as you might not have known I am one of them, I spent 18 years of my life training only for when I finally become mated, I hear that I have to be 'assessed' to be accepted? What a Joke!" I shook my head and rolled my eyes.
'Do you need a chill pill?'
'Shut up Lani! You are ruining my moment.'
All my mates were now on their feet as they continued to stare at me, my little brave speech might have gotten their attention, in the back I saw Drake's eyes glaze over and then he smirked and stepped through them. With Leon and Chayce at his right side and JaCole, Jacob and Sean at his left.
They looked at each other, then Leon spoke. "We know that you are more than capable, before we all found out that we were mated to you, Skaitra Valentina Hendrickson of Drak Heart, we staged an attack on your clan several weeks ago."
I stared at them dumbfounded.
"You- " I was lost for words as I vaguely remembered that attack. But I thought those were rogues. Then another thought came to my mind.
"So I guess you were the one who left that necklace in my room." Drake's lips formed into a smirk.
"And who was the guy standing at the forest entrance?" I queried. Why would they all be watching me? Wouldn't they have picked up if I was their mate or not? Hmm......
Jacob raised his hand. "That would be me." He said and gave an innocent smile which I returned.
I sat on the bed and took one look over them, these men, they are something else. But I still want to know why they are SIX ALPHAS to one pack. They can't be brothers either, none of them don't even look alike well Drake and Leon do have similar features, so they could pass.
"Are you checking us out?" Chayce spoke up. I squinted at him. An idea came to my head which made me smile.
"I was just wondering if you guys are brothers or......" Sean smiled.
"Actually we are brothers. Our story is quite unique-" Sean got cut off by a slap to the back of the head.
"Hey what the hell?" He quirked but he instantly shut up by ........
something that I couldn't see.
I tilted my head as my mates' continued to stare and I was sitting there wondering what the hell was that. I narrowed my eyes and was about to say when a knock came to the door.
In this moment I saw something that I couldn't even describe. Drake and Leon's once grey eyes glazed over and turned crimson red and a flash of annoyance graced their once calm expression. "Come in." Chayce commanded.
The door slowly opened to reveal a woman with unbelievable fake red hair, she stood there with a clipboard in hand. When I turned to get a good look at her, she was already looking at me and smirk etched at the corner of her lips.
'She's hot.' Lani declared.
I raised an eyebrow. 'So?'
The girl was still eyeing me when Leon spoke. "Is there something you want Cassidy?" He asked, the tone in his voice had changed, significantly at that.
Her gaze switched to him. "Yes, I just wanted to let you know that the training grounds has been cleared for our future Luna's assessment, which by the way I can't wait to meet to her" She said with a smile that I could see right through.
'Is this bitch blind or something?! Does she not see us?' Lani practically shouted.
I shook my head then I looked and saw JaCole roll his eyes, then spoke up. "Cassidy are you blind?" He questioned. The girl looked at him.
Then Jacob walked over to me and looked me over before speaking. "This young woman right here, Skaitra Valentina Hendrickson, is our future Luna. The girl huffed and shook her head.
"What the hell was that? You've got something else to say." Drake's deep voice boomed as he strode towards the girl. Her eyes glazed over and she slowly but cowardly backed away and shook her head.
I smirked, now it was my time to huff.
"No, that's all." Her voice pitched. As she was about to leave, she stopped and placed a finger on her ear, then turned back to face the Alphas.
"Our Beta needs to meet with you, its urgent." She bowed her head slightly.
Jacob, JaCole, Sean, Chayce and Leon all filed out not before they each bid me a 'farewell my love' which I had to laugh at, especially with Sean and JaCole. Something tells me we are going to get along great.
Drake before leaving the room turned to face me. He bent over and placed a kiss on my forehead which took me by surprise.
I'm pretty sure Lani screamed so hard, it might give me a headache later on.
"I'll see you in a few." He whispered and walked out not before grunting as he walked by this Cassidy girl, who was still standing there.
"Pretty sure you are to leave too." I smiled sweetly.
She snorted.
"You know if I were you, I would start counting down my days here." She said.
"And why is that? Plan to take me out? Ambush me? Listen little girl, you don't know who the hell you are messing with," I stood up and walked towards her until I was up in her face.
"Like you can do shit." She came closer and narrowed her eyes, challenging me, but I stood my ground.
I chuckled. "You're cute, but I swear if you ever try to mess with me, I won't just beat you up, I won't just beat you down, I will make you my BITCH." As I backed up and crossed my arms. She gave me a look of pure disbelief and anger.
As she was about to come closer, I took the handle of my door and slammed it, forcing her out of the room in the process. I smiled with satisfaction when I heard a thud and walked back to my bed.
'Wow, you have been here a day and you already have enemies, but that bitch, sis got talk.' Lani remarked.
I had to agree with her.
Being a Luna wasn't going to be easy, I'm going to have enemies that's one thing I'm sure of. But what I'm not sure of is how am I going to be a Luna to six alphas. I shook my head at the thought and laid down.
This is going to be one hell of a journey.
