Skai's POV
I laughed as Julie told yet another joke about the time where she was stuck in an elevator with a dude who couldn't stop farting. My birthday ball was going really great and I had yet to have any other surprises.
Though I still can't believe I met my mate and got a first glimpse of the Blood Eclipse, it was surreal and at the same time scary, I've heard many stories about this pack and none of those stories had good endings.
It was just so shocking and I actually thought Lani was messing around with me but then when she said get closer, I knew she was being serious.
And I really can't forget about the white alpha, he was just so majestic in appearance and he didn't look like he could do much damage.
'Are you on the crazy pill again?' Lani asked.
'What are you talking about?'
'How could you doubt the abilities of the Alpha of the Blood Eclipse? 'Lani said again.
'You're being over-dramatic, Lani.'
'I wish I could just slap you right now.' She huffed.
'Well you can't, so your loss.' I clapped back at her.
'Hmmmmm.' She scoffed then sank to the back of my mind where I think she should remain for the rest of the night! I shouted to her.
She scoffed again. 'Whatever woman you DON'T own me.' She snapped.
'You live in mind MY mind, remember?' I mentally smiled at her and I could just picture the the disgusted look on her face. That's if she has one.
'Hey! And there are many ways I wish I could forget.' She mumbled.
'Well you can't so suck it up.' I said to her.
I have no idea why Lani is acting this way, seems to me like he entranced her or something or better yet maybe he-
"Skaitra!" I was shaken out of my thoughts by my mom who was standing next to me with a smirk on her face.
"What's up, mom?" I asked her and she still stood there with a full grin on her face.
"You see that man over there," she pointed and I looked to where she was pointing and saw a man standing there looking at me with a smirk on his face.
"I am getting a really strong feeling that he's your-
'Mate.' Lani melted.
I stared at her in shock and then turned my attention to the man who was now standing in front of me.
'He's beautiful.' Lani purred and the man smiled at me, '-Dance with him.' She urged me to go but something didn't feel right.
A/N: wonder what that means. *winky face* ð on to the story.
I took the man's hand and he led me out to the dance floor. He looked at me and smiled and I saw a dazzling row of white teeth. He was gorgeous, he had striking bright blue eyes, his dark blonde hair slicked back, he also had a little stubble forming around his chin. He looked to be about 6 ft tall and his tux squeezed tightly against seeming as if it was about to rip.
'Please rip! Please rip!' Lani begged.
'Girl calm down.' I told and she scoffed again.
I looked back at the man and he was just so perfect.
I kept dancing with him until Lani stopped me again.
'Hey Skai.' Lani stopped me again.
'What do you want now? Can't I dance with my mate in peace?' I asked her.
'Shut up.' She growled at me.
-'Something doesn't feel right.' She said to me.
'What do you mean?' I asked her.
'I sense something and it doesn't smell good.' She said again while I continued to dance with the man as everybody in the ball room gazed.
He looked at me, then lifted his head and looked around.
'Hey Skai, I feel like the white mate was a different one, cause I'm sensing a different energy form this guy.' She said.
'What are you talking about?' I asked her.
The man turned his attention back to me and looked at me confusingly before abruptly stopping the dance and walking off in a hurry.
Everyone in the room looked at me. In that moment I felt like crying.
Did he just reject me? I thought.
'Hey Skai, hold your nose up and smell the air.' I did as she said and sure enough she was right it didn't smell right.
I looked around and saw another mysterious man staring at me, he had jet black hair which was slicked back into a bun. From my view he looked to have grey eyes, he was tall and buff, he had on a sleek blue suit. He looked at me and smirked, then started walking over.
Lani sniffed again. 'Mate.'
'Are you kidding me?' I said back to her.
'So that would be like what 3 so far?' Lani asked.
My eyes bulged out of my head. 'So far?' I shouted to her.
'Ion know.'
The man looked at me and once again we started dancing to the music and everyone was staring at us in confusion. Throughout the faces, I looked at my mom who was just as surprised everyone. I searched her eyes and she some how had a knowing look.
I've seen that look before. It's that look that parents give you when something is going on with you and they pretend not to know about it.
I stared at her for a couple of minutes when suddenly the man brought his face close to mine, so close that his lips brushed against my ear.
He spoke to me, his voice was deep. "Welcome to Blood Eclipse, baby girl."
He drifted back and smirked at me, then pulled me away from the crowd as they stared at me.
He took my hand and led me out of the ball room, I walked ahead of him to a place unknown to me. Which is kind of strange considering I have been here a thousand times.
I continued walking but I stopped when I didn't hear the man footsteps behind me. I turned around and he was gone.
What is going on? I thought. There has to be some reasonable explanation for all of this.
'Well.......' Lani started off but didn't finish.
'Well what?' I asked her.
I continued badgering her, but she wouldn't budge.
'Lani, you better tell me what's going on right-' I stopped as I heard growling.
I turned around to see three massive wolves perched on the balcony. My mouth went dry as I stared at them.
I immediately recognized the black one, its grey eyes shine a light of mischief, but held a very perplexed look as it stared at me. I blinked at it, then shifted my gaze to the gold one, who had the same look in its eyes, but the gold one took his gaze off me and looked at the black one. They stared at each other, then both wolves turned their attention on the silver who looked just as perplexed.
Awkward. I thought as I peered upon them.
All three wolves turned their attention back to me.
"Welcome To Blood Eclipse, young mate." I turned to see three men standing behind me with smirks all over their faces, their blue eyes shine but I can see that each held a mystery behind them.
'Uh-oh.' Lani sang in my mind.
'Uh-oh? What do you mean 'uh-oh'?' I shouted to her and didn't get an answer.
I shook my head and stared at the men standing before me, then turned back to the three wolves who were still looking at me.
My eyes went back and forth between them.
"There are three wolves perched on the balcony and there are three men standing next to me, that could only mean............" I traliled.
Lani sighed.' That could only mean that you Skaitra Valentina Hendrickson are mated to ALL SIX ALPHAS of the Blood Eclipse.'
My mouth fell open, I could not grasp the idea of what was just said.
I had no choice but to- it just came out;
a glass shattering, ear-splitting scream.
I started to feel dizzy when my mom and the rest of my family came rushing onto the balcony.
My mom looked at me, not even realizing that there are 3 wolves and 3 strange men there.
"Are you okay, sweetheart?" She asked.
I looked at her and before I could give a reply, my knees gave out and I fell to the floor.
I fainted.
A/N: ooh what a relief. Finally my mates are here. Now it's time for me to properly introduce them. Please note that these choices were not chosen specifically, they were based on surveys I took on Chrome. Some of these choices will rather be deemed strange. But I decided that I wanted them to be chosen out of the lot of people that are well-known. So here are Skaitra's mates:
