Chapter 276: Chapter 275 One Hundred?

As the auction almost came to the end, the gemstone that most experts liked got taken by Leon for one million dollars.

“Dope! Just two raises scared everybody off. No one dared to compete anymore.”

“The committee is probably going to cry. I heard that that stone worth at least six million dollars. We got it in such a cheap price!”

“We got the gemstone already. That loser has not even bought anything yet. Is he shocked by us or something? Should we go check on him?”

Damion and the rest were keeping eyes on Maximilian during this whole time. He never even raised the board once, which was making them disdain him even more.

Leon sneered and stood up, “Let’s go humiliate that loser. The rest are the worst ones. I assume that’s all he could afford.”

Damion and the others walked towards Maximilian following Leon. Since the auction was ending soon, and the rest of the stones were not good, and most people were paying attention to the group of men instead of the auction.

As they got near Maximilian, Marcus and Laura moved away from him to get unattached to him.

Laura even pulled Victoria, trying to get her to move with them too. However, she would not budge, so Laura had to give up.

“Humphrey, they are all your friends? You need to watch over Victoria and protect her.” Laura reminded Humphrey.

Humphrey smiled, “Relax, auntie. Vic will be fine. They are only after Maximilian.”

Laura finally got relieved, murmuring, “It would be great for this trouble to die. His existence disturbed us.”

Leon glanced at Victoria, then look at Maximilian with his nostrils.

“Loser. It’s ending soon. This is the last stone. Buy it now, or can’t you afford to add one hundred dollars?”

“I think he does not even have one cent. Probably his wife did not give him any money this month.

Such a pathetic loser.”

“Do you think you can avoid the bet as long as you buy no gemstones? If you did not have a gemstone, that would be counted as a total lost. Even Connor would not be able to cover up for you.”

The host suddenly got excited and yelled, “No.99 added one hundred. Are there anyone else?”

Leon said coldly, “Shut up and finish it now. Can’t you see that I am busy?”

“Yes sir.” the host shivered, and hurriedly ended this auction, “No.99 got this emerald stone with 100.”

Marcus and Laura got extremely embarrassed. They did not even want to stay there anymore, thinking that Maximilian might be even more embarrassed.

“Humphrey, we are going back to the hotel first. Watch over Vic. You don’t have to do anything with that loser. Just bring Vic back if anything happened.”

Humphrey nodded happily, “Auntie and uncle, just go back. I will take care of Vic.”

Marcus and Laura left together, while Humphrey was sneering at Maximilian.

“Loser, time to cut the gemstones open. Get ready to beg on your knees.” said Leon coldly.

Maximilian stood up, holding Victoria’s hands, “I’m paying the money.”

“Forget about whatever money. Save that one hundred for your hospital fee.”

Leon turned to Damion, and Damion smiled, “The machine is waiting outside, we can go now.”

“Loser, carry your gemstone and follow us.”

There were people in the lobby ready with cargo transporter. They carried the one bought by Leon over, but just threw Maximilian’s gemstone randomly under his feet.

Leon went outside, followed by a crowd behind him. Many people also followed him.

Maximilian bended down to carry the gemstone up. Victoria worriedly looked at him.

“Are you really going? At least you should tell Connor about it. Otherwise, when you lose…”

Victoria did not want to think about the result. Just imagining the stabs was horrifying enough.

Maximilian just walked outside with Victoria and said slowly, “It doesn’t matter if Connor was here or not. We play by rules, and he can’t break the rules either.”

“Why aren’t you worried at all? You will get stabbed if you lose!” Victoria was going nuts.

“Don’t worry, do you believe me or not? I am super lucky. Th gemstone I gave you dad last time was bought in the same way. I can also win them this time too.” said Maximilian confidently.

Victoria tranced and thought of the gift Maximilian gave Marcus last time.
