Maximilian knew clearly that it was one of the common tricks Dragon Sect used. But he didnât expect they would be so despicable.
He must stop it anyway.
âDonât worry. It must be Dragon Sect. I can handle them.â He said calmly.
She looked at him with doubted eyes. She thought he was kidding her. She knew how influential Dragon Sect was after all.
If it were somebody else, facing such a formidable enemy, he would be scared to death.
She couldnât understand why he was so confident.
âStopping joking. I know youâre no match of them.â She laughed.
She thought he was just comforting her, but she still felt warm.
Maximilian couldnât stop her, so he decided to go with her.
It would be dangerous for her to go back alone in such special time.
Unexpectedly, she left alone by a taxi before he knew it.
He thought it was too reckless of her to jump into an obvious trap.
Wait! He suddenly realized something was wrong. Why was there a taxi in front of his villa? It was so unusual.
Itâs getting more and more serious and tricky. He must stop something bad from happening. Otherwise, everything would change.
He drove his car to catch the taxi immediately.
The taxi driver didnât notice that he was followed. Thereâs a threatening scar on his face.
Half an hour later, she came to suspect the driver, who didnât take her to the company. It would not take so long to get to her company.
âAre you taking the wrong road? Itâs not the way to my company.â She couldnât help asking.
âOf course not, itâs the way to a deserted factory.â The driver answered with a frightful smile.
Sheâs got a bad feeling that the driver was for her. She frowned, âWho are you? Stop right now, or Iâll call the police.â
âWhatever, thereâs no signal in the taxi.â He sneered.
Astonished, she dialed the phone immediately but it couldnât get through.
When they arrived at a deserted factory, she became panic. She regretted not taking Maximilianâs advice.
It wouldnât happen if Maximilian were here.
There were many goons standing in the factory. They looked at her as if a group of wolves were looking at their food. They didnât expect to see such a beautiful woman.
They hesitated for a minute, licked lips and looked at her.
She was disgusted and scared by their burning eyes.
Then Adviser Ashton walked up and threw some money to the driver, saying, âGo away.â
The driver took the money happily and ran away.
âItâs great.â The driver was very excited to think he would be rich with so much money.
Adviser Ashton took a despised look at the driver. He sneered at him.
âWho are you?â she asked coldly to Adviser Ashton.
âIâm Adviser Ashton, the man of Dragon Queen and also Dragon Sect.â He smiled.
Her face changed a bit. As Maximilian has expected, it was really Dragon Sect that was planning behind the scenes.
âDonât worry. Iâll call your grandpa to pick you up if you behave. But if he doesnât come over, thenâ¦â he looked her up and down with filthy eyes.
She slapped him out of shame and anger. He couldnât duck it because he was not good at fighting. He was dumbfounded and his face darkened.
Nobody else dare beat him like that. He got furious and decided to teach her a lesson.
âWell, Iâll handle you before calling your grandpa.â He shouted angrily.
He licked his lips and approached her slowly.
Her face changed a bit. She was astonished and terrified, for there would nobody else who could her in such a deserted factory.
Right then Maximilian arrived. He noticed what was happening here and sneered, âIsnât this Adviser Ashton? What are you doing here?â
Adviser Ashton was trembled at Maximilianâs words. He looked up.
He shuddered at the sight of Maximilian and was unsteady on his feet. He was dumbfounded, wondering why Maximilian would show up.
She turned back excitedly as if to see the hope of survival, but when she saw it was Maximilian, her expectation faded away. she thought Maximilian wasnât able to beat so many people no matter how powerful he was.
âRun away. Why donât you ask some people from government to save me?â she felt helpless. She thought Maximilian was ill-considered.
Maximilian smiled, thinking she even had time to complain about him.
âDonât worry. I can handle them by myself.â He smiled.
