"What was that about?" I asked, looking at CJ.
"I could see that he was making you uncomfortable. I had to step in." He said, patting my head. "After all, you are my little sister." He beamed. That made me smile.
"Jaycee told me to come get you since he has issues to attend to. So come on, let go get ready." He said, pulling me towards his brand new car! Oh my God!! His car is amazing!! He bought a matte black Dodge Challenger!
"Your new car is amazing CJ! I love it!" I said, assessing the ride all around.
"Thanks! Mr. Pierce insisted that I buy something I like or else he's gonna pick one for me. I insisted that the truck I have is enough; it just needs a little fixing. He agreed. Then went and bought me this car anyways, AND he took my truck to be renovated." He said as we hopped inside the amazing new car.
"Hahahaha yeah dad loves spoiling us. And besides he's not Mr. Pierce anymore; it's dad, dadio, or father of mine." I joked, buckling my seatbelt as we headed home to get ready for our final talent show.

As I was brushing my hair, and putting on my make-up, I got a text message from Jaycee telling me that he'll be picking me up.
To: Jay(cee me rolling)ð©ð½âð:
Don't. I can go there on my own :) and besides, Sabrina and Brenda are already here! c u there!!
From: Jay(cee me rolling)ð©ð½âð:
Then I can pick you all up. I'm not taking no for an answer. See you later princess.
To: Jay(cee me rolling)ð©ð½âð:
Uhhh the name's Alexis :) you're one stubborn human do you know that?? Fine. I'll tell them.
From: Jay(cee me rolling):
Princess. Alexis. Lexi. Lexa. Tomato tomato.
I chuckled at the last message, which of course didn't go unnoticed by the overly observant best friends.
"Whatchu laughing at? Future hubby sent you a joke?" Asked Sabrina as she tied the upper half of her hair in a bun.
"No, no he probably sent her a proposal in disguise, but being the thick dumbo that she is; thought it was a joke." Replied Brenda as she was putting on some eye liner.
"Uh. What are you guys talking about? It was Jaycee. He said that he was picking us up." I said, back to straightening my hair.
They looked at each other with utter frustration.
"Eh. You can't really make a blind guy see. You'll figure it out tonight Lex." Said Sabrina.
"By the way, what's CJ doing here." Asked Brenda.
My eyes widened. I FORGOT TO TELL THEM!!
"Um. Hi guys. Sooooo I kind of need to tell you something." I said, turning around to face them.
They looked at each other weird but didn't say anything. I took a deep breath and spent the next few minutes explaining to them the story of CJ, Denis and Alexander Boyce. Just like Jace, i had to give them a minute to come back to reality.
"That is one creepy story!! Oh my God! Your life is literally an action filler soap opera!" Said Sabrina.
"How's everyone taking the news? Your mom, dad and CJ?" Asked Brenda.
"My parents instantly clicked with him and him to them. I think everything is going great!! We're not even waiting for that test; he's already a part of our family." I said, ecstatic at the thought of finally having a brother
Suddenly my bedroom door opened and my mom came in.
"Hi girls! So I wanted to ask you if you could come back here after the talent show. Jared and I have a little something something planned and I want you guys here for it. Bring the boys as well, I already invited your parents too okay?"
"Sure we'd love to!" They said together.
I got a text message that Jaycee was outside, so we all started packing our things into our handbags and headed out.
"Wow. You look as pretty as ever princess." He said as I sat in the front seat.
"I literally look like a homeless Hagrid." I said, laughing along with Sabrina and Brenda.
"So Jaycee, we heard that you changed the song you were supposed to sing today. Which one will you sing instead?" Asked Sabrina, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I'm actually gonna sing You and I by John Legend." He replied, hiding a blush.
"Ooohhh who's it dedicated to?" Asked Brenda.
"Someone special." Was all he said. Yup. Not a dude of many words.
I turned on the radio to prevent them from asking my poor boy another question that'll sure leave him red faced. 'Hello' by Adele started playing and we all sang our hearts out. On key may I add
"Hello from the other siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.

But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore."
Finally arriving at school 10 minutes later, I was separated from my friends since they had to go back stage. I entered the auditorium and got a message from Jace telling me he saved me a seat with him and CJ. I made my way to the front where my awesome friend saved us seats and sat down while everyone around us were getting seated as well.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, everyone was quiet as the curtains opened, revealing our MC for the night; president of the student council Derek Garrison.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to HKHH annual talent show!! Tonight we will be showcasing the amazing talent here at our school. First we'll start off with Jessabelle Vega singing One in A Million by Miley Cyrus.
It wasn't until after six contestants did my awesome friends show up.
"Now please, welcome on stage the beautiful and talented duo; Sabrina and Brenda!!" The crowd erupted with cheers as my two besties took over the stage.
"Hi everyone. The song we're going to perform is called Amnesia by 5SOS. Hope you guys enjoy it. This is for you Lexi!! Since it's your favourite song!" They screamed together.
"WOOHOOO!!" I screamed, causing the people around me to chuckle. (Performance below)
Their performance literally left me crying. Brenda on the keyboard and Sabrina with her guitar and their voices harmonizing together was just magical.
At the end of their gig, everyone was up on their feet, clapping and cheering for them; me, Jace and CJ included
Next was a boy named Carl Atkins, doing some stand up comedy. After that were my boys Ashton and Aaron with their mesmerizing breakdancing gig. Just HOW in the world could they bend their bodies like that?!
5 agonizing performances and 2 hours later, it was time for the final act of the night; Jaycee Royce.
"And for our final contestant, please welcome the captain of the basketball team; JAYCEEEEEEE ROOOOOYYYYCCE!!!"
Of course the entire cheerleading squad and basically the entire girl population went crazy! Why wouldn't they? Their very own prince charming was on stage.
"Good evening. How are you all doing? My name is Jaycee Royce and the song I'm performing today is a song that is very special because I dedicate it to someone who means the world to me. Someone who taught me that there's good in people no matter how bad they might seem. That someone is the reason I made it to graduation year happy and content. Hope you enjoy my performance."
While he was saying these words, he was looking in the crowd for someone. One person in particular, and he smiled when his eyes landed on that person. On me.
Wow.
My heart is doing things inside my rib cage that are making it a little hard to focus, but I did when the piano started playing. And when Jaycee started singing. My Jaycee.

Throughout the entire performance, his eyes never left mine. His voice was mesmerizing , the song was perfect, and my heart and stomach showed me for the first time how butterflies felt like. His eyes were still on me when he finished his performance, while we all gave him a standing ovation and until he finally left the stage. As if he was confirming what Brenda and Sabrina were saying all along; that I'm his special someone. Oh My!
Derek showed up again but this time, it was to announce the winners.
"The judges have finally come to a conclusion FINALLY and they chose the top 5 acts. So in fifth place we have AARON AND ASHTON!! In fourth place we have Brianna! Third place goes to Carl Atkins!! Second place goes Brenda and Sabrina!!!! And finally, first place goes to none other than Jaycee Royce!!!"
Everyone went crazy; CJ, Jace and I being on top of that list! Our best friends just won within the top 5!!!
They each received their medals and certificates and came down the stage as everyone else was leaving. The boys and I stayed behind so we could catch our friends. When we saw them coming towards us, we ran towards them, embracing each other in a group hug.
"That was amazing!!" Said Jace
"You guys were incredible!!" Exclaimed CJ
"That was so damn good I have the whole thing filmed!!" I said, blushing, feeling Jaycee's eyes on me.
Thank God CJ spoke!
"Uh guys, Mrs. Pierce said she wants us all home for something she and Me. Pierce prepared so we better get going." And we all started towards the cars.
I felt someone pulling me behind, and I turned back to come face to face with Jaycee.
"What'd you think princess?" He asked.
"I thought that that was the most amazing performance ever bro." Way to go Alexis. "I wonder who the special girl is." I said, playing dumb. Someone make me shut up.
"Glad you liked it." He said, his smile not faltering even a little bit. "As for the special person, you and I both know who it is. Now come on let's not keep our friends waiting." And with that we went after our friends.
The car ride was filled with music and songs and arguing. Everyone sang what they sang in the talent show and I truly wished that this moment could last forever.
We pulled up at our house, got down, locked the doors, and went towards the front door. When we opened it, everyone yelled "SURPRIIIISEE!!!"
I could tell CJ was on the verge of tears because on the wall was a huge banner with the words
"Welcome Home CJ Pierce."
