Talia opened up her eyes and looked at the person. Her eyes widen and she quickly moved away. She looked down out of embarrassment whereas he was standing all shocked with wide eyes looking at her.
'Wali.' Talia muttered and looked at him. He came back in his sense as well got controlled on himself.
'I...I am sorry.' Talia said and looked down and awkward silence took place between them.
'Where you have been?' Wali asked changing the topic while avoiding to make any contact.
'I...I was just here.' Talia shuttered and looked down nervously.
'What you was doing with mirror.?' Wali asked and she quickly looked at him. He was asking so normally as if nothing just happened between them. For god sake they kinda of just kiss.' Talia thought.
'No...Nothing.' Talia shuttered nervously and cursed herself for behaving like this.
'Ceremony is about to start. Lets go.' Wali said and she looked up. Then her eyes wide when her gaze fell back on his lips. He was about turned over to walk when she come back in her senses.
'Wali.' Talia yelled and he quickly looked back at her. Her screamed catches attention of many people and they confused looked at her. She fake smiled to them and they walked away whereas Wali was staring at her weirdly.
'What is it Talia?' Wali asked
'Actually...there....'Talia shuttered and then stopped as blush crept on her cheeks. Wali was still confused looking at her while waiting for her to spoke up.
'What is it Talia? I am waiting.' Wali asked and she blushed even more.
'There..there is..... lipstick mark on your lips.' Talia said and took in deep breath. His hands quickly moved towards his lips and touched them. Then he walked towards a mirror and looked in. There was red mark on his lips. He put hand in his pocket to took out his handkerchief but couldn't found it. He looked back at her and she just nodded her head in no as she understood what he was asking for?
'I will go and get it. They must have it somewhere.' Talia said and was about walked when he stopped her by holding her hand. She turned around and confused looked at him.
'It will take long time and I don't want to stand here like this to wait for people to laugh on me.' Wali said while leaving her hand.
'So, what then?' Talia asked while he walked, and stood right in front of her. She was looking at him when he leaned towards her and her breath stopped in her throat. He leaned right next to her face and looked dead in her eyes. Then he hand moved his hand and got hold of her scarf . He get hold the end of her scarf's conner while they were looking in each other's eyes. Then he moved his hand towards his lips while holding the conner of her scarf and wipe away the lipstick mark with her scarf. She was dumbfounded looking at him when he moved away.
'Lets go then.' Wali said and walked away while she came back in her senses and followed after him. They reached on the stage and Ahmed and Sadia Nikkah took place. After Nikkah was finished everybody congratulated them. They were looking really happy. Party went on till mid night. They had the dinner then they say good bye and walked back towards their car. They sat in the car and Wali started driving. Their was silence between them as Wali was busy looking on road ,and Talia was looking outside while leaning on the window. The road was empty and there were tress on the side of road.
'Wali, Stop.' Talia screamed out of blue and Wali sharply put his foot on the brakes. He looked at her who quickly got out from the car. She ran towards a empty place like a forest next to road. Wali quickly came out as well. He stood on the road where he was see her and confused looked at her.
'Wali look fireflies.' Talia screamed while happily looked up. Wali leaned on his car and sighed on her childishness. He wanted to screamed on her but stopped because she looked really happy. He couldn't gather enough courage to ruined her happy mood and wipe away smiled from her face. Then she started running behind fireflies to catches them. She started jumping to catch them but in vain. She couldn't get hold of them. She sighed and her face turned from happy to sad then disappointed when without wasting a minute he quickly walked towards her and then he moved his hand in air and get hold of firefly in his hand palm. He closed his palm then moved towards her and let the firefly to came out. A smiled appeared on her face while firefly got back in the sky, her head moved upward as well. She was looking happy again. She sighed and looked back him.
'Wali, do you like firefly?' Talia said and looked at him and he just shrugged his shoulder. He looked down and there he found a glass jar which have dirt all over it. He picked it up and clean it with his pants while she was just looking at her. He looked back at her who was looking up while trying to touch fireflies. He sighed and fold up his shirt's arm upward and started jumping to catch fireflies. He started putting them in the jar. He collected fireflies in it whereas she was looking at him. She was smiling because he was actually catching fireflies for her. After finishing it, he closed the jar then walked toward her. She looked at him when he stood right in front of her then opened the jar and let the fireflies to came out. They we out and start going all around her. She looked at them then start moving in circles, and started laughing. She touched the firefly and Wali was just staring at her dumbfounded.
'Wali, that is amazing.' Talia screamed happily and started laughing. She was looking like a angel between fireflies. Then, Fireflies start going back up in sky and they both looked up.
'La, la, la.' Someone hmmm the tune and they snapped their head towards the voice. They saw a man who stopped and looked at them. He looked drunk as he was holding alcohol bottle in his one hand.
'Don't you know this is vampire's place. You are not allowed to come here.'Â The man said in drunk state and start laughing. Whereas they both weirdly looked at him then looked at each other and start laughing. That was first time Mr Wali Azad and Mrs Talia Jabran were laughing over something together.
'You don't believe it.' Man said offended on their laugh and looked at them while they were smiling. Then, he took out cigarette and match box to lit the cigarette while alcohol bottle in his other hand. He lit the fire on match stick when they heard something in woods.
'Vampires.' The man screamed and throw the lit match and bottle of alcohol on ground. They looked where sound was coming from woods and rabbit came out. They looked at rabbit and start laughing again. They were laughing while putting hand on their stomach when they heard the drunk man screamed.
'Fire.' Drunk man screamed and ran toward them and fell down on the ground while shaking really scared. They looked at the fire which had been caused by drunk man's alcohol and lit match stick which he throw panicked on the ground. The fire catches the tress then start spending rapidly. Wali quickly got hold of her hand and made her walked out from the fire. He quickly walked towards car.
'Call the fire guards.' Wali said and she took out her phone to called.
' I will go and save the drunk man.' Wali said and walked back. She called the ambulance and waited for him while fire was spending rapidly. Loads of tress were already damaged and it still was spending. After a while she saw drunk man coming but he was alone. Talia quickly walked towards him.
'Where is my husband?' She asked worried.
'He have stunk inside.' Man said and before and could ask anything else he fainted on the ground.. She ran toward Wali leaving the man on ground and the fire have been spread even more and there was smoke everywhere. It was so hard to even see anything in this smoke and she started coughing really badly due to smoke.
'Wali.' Talia screamed out to him and coughed but she was unable to see him and she can't walk more in as their was fire everywhere. There was no way to got inside specially when she can't even see him.
'Wali.' She screamed again as tears started coming out from her eyes but unable to heard anything. Her heart was beating really fast. She started walking around fire to found him but in vain. Then she heard siren and then they all stopped on the side of road. Talia looked back and fire guard were here. She ran towards them.
'Please save my husband.' Talia pleaded helplessly and they nodded their head in walked and started their job while trying to took controlled over fire. They were stopping the fire when police and ambulance reached there. They all came out and started give instructions while they taken the drunk man away in the ambulance. She was impatiently waiting in front of car for him when police people came towards her.
'What happen?' One of police man asked and Talia looked at him then started telling everything. He wrote it down then walked and told the situation to others. She was pacing when suddenly she saw a figure walking towards her from the fire. As figure came near towards her she sighed in relief because it was him. He was looking tried as well exhausted and few burning injuries were there including his arm, face and hand. Without thinking anything. She ran towards him and jumped on him. He was not ready for it and sat down on the ground as he was sitting on the support of his knee and she was in his lap. Tali break away the hugged and as Wali was about to spoke up without thinking twice she started kissing him all over his face madly while Wali freeze on his place. She was caring how Wali was feeling at a moment with her sudden out burst. She forgot how Wali told her to stayed away from her because all matter to her that moment was that he was alive. Last fifteen minutes was like a hell to her. She never wanted to experience them ever again in her life. She was kissing him with closed eyes , and tears were rolling off from her cheeks. She stopped kissing him and as soon her lips left his face he unintentionally missed the warmth of her lips. She looked at him then hugged him back tightly still crying.
'You scared the hell out of me Wali. Don't ever do anything like this again.Did you understand?' She scolded him and start crying really badly while Wali came back in his senses. There heart were beating rapidly in their chests.
'Talia, I am fine.' Wali finally spoke up insuring her that he was fine then slowly moved his shaking hands. He stopped his hand behind her back for a second and stared in the air, and then he hugged her back.
'Shut up. Bloody act like a hero.' Talia scolded him and first instead of getting angry smiled appeared across his face and he leaned his face over her head and sighed. Enjoying comfort of her body and tears for his safety.
