'Talia, our neighbour Aalia is here.' Aisha said to Talia who was eating her lunch.
'Where is she?' Talia asked while taking a sip of water.
'She is waiting for you in sitting room.' Aisha answered and she nodded her head in yes.
'I am coming within minute.' Talia said and Aisha walked out.
'Salam Aalia.' Talia greeted as soon she entered inside the sitting room where Aalia was sitting waiting while looking around.
'Wasalam. How are you?' Aalia asked happily while standing up.
'I am fine Alhumduillah . What about you?' Talia replied back while they both sat down.
'I am perfectly fit. You remember me I came before only once when you two recently got shifted here after your marriage about a month ago.' Aalia asked while smiling.
'Off course, I remember you.' Talia said happily when Aisha entered inside the room while holding two cup of coffee with snacks and put them on the table.
'Thank you Aisha.' Talia said and Aisha walked out . Talia pass a cup of coffee to Aalia and other one to herself.
'Actually, once in every year we have function where we flow lanterns in the air. It was a old traditional here where people think that whatever they wish while flowing away the lantern come true.' Aalia started talking and Talia carefully quietly listening to her.
'Wow, that sounds interesting.' Talia remarked because she liked the idea. It was just a tradition but could be amazing as a chance for community and society to her together.
'After flowing the lanterns, there will be society get together and dinner afterward.' Aalia said
'Thats sound fun.' Talia said and smile to Aalia.
'Yes it is fun. I am here to invite you on this function but you can't come alone.' Aalia said and Talia nodded her head in understanding
'Can I bring Aisha with me?' Talia asked happily and Aliya started laughing while Talia confused stared at her.
'No, it have to be your husband.' Aalia said and Talia felt disappointed from inside but didn't show it to Aliya because she knew Wali will never agree to go with her , and she badly wanted to go , and enjoy society functions. She always love society function and meeting new people.
'By the way, we never met your husband. It is golden chance for us to meet your husband as well.' Aalia added cheerfully and Talia just nodded her head.
'Okay, I will try to come.' Talia said
'Okay, All the best.' Aalia said and pass a invitation card to her and Talia got hold of it. Then Aliya put back the empty cup of coffee on table and stood up from the sofa with Talia.
'Thank you very much for the invitation.' Talia said and Aalia smiled then walked out from room. She downhearted sat back down on sofa and sadly sighed.
'Talia, what happen? why you look so sad?' Aisha said while entering in the sitting room.
'They invite me on a function. Here is invitation.' Talia said and passed the invitation card to Aisha who opened it and read about it.
'Wow, thats sound fun. You should go and meet people around.' Aisha said happily.
'I want to but I have to go with my husband and Wali will never agree to go with me.' Talia explained her problem and sadly looked at Aisha.
'Why you don't talk to him first?' Aisha encouraged her.
'I know he will not go with me.' Talia said gloomy.
'But at least talk.......' Aisha tried to say but when Talia cut her off in middle, and happily stood up from her place.
'She said nobody have seen my husband yet.' Talia repeated her words joyfully.
'So.......' Aisha trailer off the sentence confused.
'So I can take someone as my fake husband.' Talia announced happily.
'What?' Aisha screamed shocked and looked at Talia as if she had lost her mind.
'I know it is wrong but I really want to go. I actually want to go with Wali but he won't agree' Talia explained giving excuse.
'The function is happening tonight. How you gone get fake husband within one day.' Aisha asked.
'Don't know.' Talia said and both start thinking what to do next.
'Idea.' Talia screamed after a while and Aisha looked up at her.
'What is it?' Aisha asked.
'My friend Moiz.' Talia said
'That is good idea.' Aisha said while liking her idea and Talia happily nodded her head as well.
'Shall I call him?' Talia asked and Aisha nodded her head in yes. Talia took out her phone and dial his number. They were standing opposite to each other as Talia back was facing the door and Aisha's face was towards the door.
'Salam Moiz.' Talia greeted and nervously looked at Aisha who gave her thump up to continue.
'Wasalam, How are you?' Moiz asked from other line.
'I am fine, What about you?' Talia asked
'I am great. What are you doing?' Moiz asked next question
'What are you doing?' Talia asked next while getting tensed.
'What is wrong with you Talia? Why you are acting weird?' Moiz asked
'No....No....nothing is wrong with me. Why you do you think I am behaving weird.' Talia said then quickly took off phone from ear and put her hand on phone's speaker.
'What should I do?' Talia asked from Aisha.
'Just ask him about going on function.' Aisha said and Talia nodded her head in yes then put back phone on her ear.
'Yes, I am here. what you was saying?' Talia asked
'Nothing, why you call me. Is everything alright?' Moiz asked
'I need favour from you Moiz.' Talia finally said while building up courage inside her.
'What favour?' Moiz asked confused
'Its quite a big favour?' Talia said
'Okay Talia, I am listening. Say what do want me to do.' Moiz said while loudly sighed
'Moiz, I want you to become my husband.' Talia said
'What?' Moiz screamed shocked on other line while Aisha eyes opened widely when she looked behind the Talia but Talia was busy talking to Moiz. Aisha signed with her hand to Talia to looked behind but she confused looked at her then ignored it.
'No....for heaven sake......I mean you need to be my fake husband. Just for a function.' Talia quickly correctly herself because she said wrong thing in her nervousness.
'Okay, but what is everything fine between you and Wali?' Moiz asked
'Yes everything is fine between me and Wali.' Talia answered
'Then why don't you take him instead of me?'
Moiz suggested and Talia sighed
'No, Wali don't like this kind of function.' Talia answered when Aisha worried again gave her another signed to looked at her back , but she ignored it again.
'Did you ask from him?' Moiz asked
'No I didn't ask from him yet but I knew he will
not agree.' Talia said.
'But Talia......' Moiz trailer off confused
'Come on Moiz you just have to act like my husband in the function, Thats it.' Talia said while getting annoyed because he was arguing.
'But I will suggest to ask from Wali first?' Moiz said
'But.......' Talia tried to say but Moiz cut her in middle again when she took away phone from her ear again and looked at Aisha's shocked face.
'Aisha, Moiz is saying I should ask Wali about it first. He is saying me to put my hand in lion's den.' Talia said then humorously laughed.
'Talia look at your back.' Aisha whispered to her before she could put back phone on her ear, and Talia confused looked at Aisha's tense behaviour then looked back and phone fell down from her hand because with all his mighty Mr Wali Azad was standing intensely staring at her. She quickly picked up the phone.
'I talk to you later Moiz.' Talia said then cut off the phone.
'How come you are early today Wali?' Talia asked nervously while sweat started forming over her forehead and hands
'I have half day.' Wali answered still intensely staring at her. she got even more nervous with his stared. She helplessly looked back at Aisha who helplessly looked at her then walked out clearly indicating she was not helping her. Talia looked at him then looked down , and stood like a criminal nervously fiddling with her fingers.
'What you was talking about?' Wali asked after a while and she nervously looked up at him from ground.
'I... was.... just...just joking.' Talia shutter said nervously.
'Really, So you joke with people to be your husband.' Wali bitterly said and she looked at him then quickly shook her head in no.
'No, it is not like this. ' Talia quickly said in her defend but she was really scared from inside with his outburst.
'Then, explain?' Wali asked coldly while walked and stood right in front of her. Talia looked around nervously while trying to find words to say in her defend but nothing. She was standing when he put hand under her chin and pulled it up to looked straight in his eyes.
'You was joking.' Wali asked while looking dead in his eyes. Looking in his eyes was making hard for Talia to lie and he knew that.
'No. I was not joking.' Talia frightened confessed while he was still holding her chin.
' Then explain. Why the hell you ask him to be your husband.' Wali screamed angrily and she could hear her heart beating rapidly.
'I said fake husband.' Talia quickly corrected him.
'Whatever.' Wali yelled annoyed.
'There is function happening in the society. I really want to go but it is couple function and I thought you will not agree.' Talia nervously explained while they were still looking in each other eyes.
'Why you ask from him without even asking me first?' Wali asked coldly.
'I was.........' Talia tried to say but in vain.
'You was, what?' Wali repeated behind her.
'I thought you will not agree.' Talia softly said her fear , and a reason to asked from Moiz.
'Why you even thought that before even trying asking me?' Talia said while move away his hand under her chin and put her hands around her arms.
'Will you go if I ask?' Talia asked hopefully.
' I.........' Wali stopped and looked at her.
'No right, you will not go with me.' Talia said angrily with disappointed while coming out from his grip, and tears started falling off from her eyes.
'I will go with you but please don't cry.' Wali said after a while and cleaned away her tears while she astonished looked at him.
'Why you can't see me crying, Wali?' Talia asked curiously and he freeze on his place then looked down at her.
'Because It hurt me when I see you crying.' Wali confessed truthfully then moved away , and quickly started climbing up stairs towards his room while leaving her shocked behind staring in the air. This man always gave her shock whether with his good behaviour or harsh behaviour. She thought then sighed peacefully and happily because he agreed to went on function with her.
