It has been one year since the twins were born, and today was their first birthday party.
Elizabeth "I do not understand why you did not want a big party for Alexander and Adeline."
Cordelia "It is only their first birthday and they will have many other birthdays, so I just wanted to keep it small."
Elizabeth "I remember your first birthday you had a huge first birthday with the best cake."
Cordelia "Well I am not you Mother."
Daniel "Look who I found in their cribs."
Cordelia "Alexander Adeline my adorable little babies."
Daniel "They are all dressed and ready to go out for breakfast."
Cordelia "Great. Can you get the car while me and Mother bring the twins out."
Daniel "No problem dear."
Daniel leaves to go get the car while Cordelia and Elizabeth get Alexander and Adeline in their car seats and bring them out.
Daniel "Is everyone ready to go get breakfast?"
Cordelia "I am ready."
Elizabeth "I am also ready."
Daniel "Alright then we are off."
Daniel drives everyone to the restaurant for breakfast. When they get there Cordelia gets the twins out and carries them in and they all sit down to order their food and eat.
Waitress "Hi my name is Caroline what can I get you to drink?"
Cordelia "I will have tea and milk."
Daniel "I will have coffee."
Elizabeth "I will also have a coffee."
Caroline "Alright I will be right back with your drinks."
5 minutes later the waitress came back with their drinks and to take their order.
Caroline "What may I get everyone to eat?"
Elizabeth "I will have the Fried, Shirred, Poached & Boiled Eggs please."
Caroline "Alright."
Cordelia "I will have the Plain & Tomato Omelettes to Order and Corn Bread please."
Caroline "Alright."
Daniel "I will have the Sirloin Steak & Mutton Chops to Order please."
Caroline "Alright, that will be out shortly."
30 minutes later
Caroline "Alright, here is your Fried, Shirred, Poached & Boiled Eggs.
Elizabeth "Thank you!"
Caroline "Your welcome. Here is the Plain & Tomato Omelettes to Order and Corn Bread."
Cordelia "Thank you."
Caroline "Your welcome. Here is the Sirloin Steak & Mutton Chops to Order."
Daniel "Thank you."
Caroline "Your welcome, now let me know if you need anything else and if not enjoy."
Daniel "Thank you very much."
Caroline "Know problem."
Daniel, Elizabeth, Cordelia and the twins eat their food and then Daniel pays the bill so that they can leave. Cordelia put the twins in the car while Daniel and Elizabeth got into the car, after Cordelia put the twins in the car she got in the car herself.
Daniel "Is everyone ready?"
Elizabeth "I am ready."
Cordelia "I am ready and so are Alexander and Adeline."
Daniel "Alright, now we are off to the zoo."
Cordelia "Yay!"
40 minutes later.
Daniel parked the car when they arrived at the zoo, and then Cordelia Elizabeth and Daniel got out of the car. After Cordelia got out of the car she got the stroller for the twins out and then put the twins in the stroller.
Cordelia "Alexander Adeline are you ready for your first time at the zoo?"
Alexander "Goo goo."
Adeline "Gaaahhh."
Cordelia "I will take that as a yes."
Daniel "Alright, let us go get tickets and go see the animals."
Cordelia "Sounds good."
Elizabeth "Sounds good to me as well."
Cordelia, Daniel, Elizabeth and the twins got tickets at the ticket booth and the went to go see the animals.
Elizabeth "We should see what animals everyone wants to see."
Cordelia "I am pretty sure we are going to see all the animal's."
Daniel "That sounds good to me, but I think we should come up with animals that we definitely want to see."
Cordelia "Alright, I want to see the otter's and red panda bears."
Elizabeth "I think we should see the polar bears and giraffes."
Daniel "Alright, I think we should see the gorillas and koalas."
Cordelia "Sounds good, let's get moving now before we run out of time."
Cordelia pushed the twins in their stroller until they got to the giraffes.
Cordelia "Alexander, Adeline look at the giraffes."
Adeline "Oooo."
Daniel "Do you like them Adeline sweetheart?"
Adeline smiled up at Daniel when he said that. They stayed at the giraffes for a little bit longer and then went on to go see the Tigers.
Cordelia "What do you think of tigers?"
Alexander "Oooo."
Adeline "Ahhh."
Cordelia "Are they cool Alexander?"
Alexander "Gahh."
Cordelia "I think Alexander likes the tigers."
Daniel "Are the tigers cool buddy?"
Alexander "Gahh."
After looking at the tigers Cordelia, Daniel, Elizabeth and the twins went to go see the polar bears.
Elizabeth "The polar bears are some of my favorites."
Adeline "Oooo."
Alexander "Oooo."
Daniel "I think Adeline and Alexander like the polar bears."
Cordelia "It does."
Elizabeth "Let's stay here and watch the polar bears for a little bit longer."
Cordelia "Sounds good to me."
They stayed and watched the polar bears swim in the water for a little bit longer before going to go see the gorillas.
Daniel "Adeline, Alexander what do you think of the gorillas. They are one of Daddy's favorite."
Adeline and Alexander both smiled at Daniel.
Cordelia "I think they like them."
Daniel "Are they cool?"
Alexander "Oooo."
Adeline "Oooo."
Cordelia, Daniel and Elizabeth watched the gorillas a little bit more with the twins before going to go see the otters.
Cordelia "What do you think of the otters?"
Adeline "Ahaahaa."
Alexander "Oooo."
Cordelia "They are some of my favorite."
Elizabeth "They are pretty cool."
Daniel "Yes they are."
They watched the otters play in the water a little bit more, and then they stopped for lunch. After lunch they all got ice cream. Cordelia got cookies and cream and she got chocolate for the twins to share. Daniel got mint chocolate chip and Elizabeth got vanilla.
After they finished their ice cream they went to see the red pandas.
Cordelia "Alexander, Adeline what do you two think of the red panda bears."
Alexander "Oooo."
Adeline "Oooo."
Daniel "Let's stay here for a little bit before we go see the next animal."
Cordelia "Sounds good."
Elizabeth "Sounds good to me two."
After they finished watching the red pandas they moved on to the koalas.
Daniel "What do you think of the koalas?"
Adeline "Oooo."
Alexander "Gahhh."
Cordelia "I think they like them."
After they saw all the animals they wanted to see they headed home to put Adeline and Alexander down for a nap, and to get things ready for later that night.
After they got everything ready Cordelia got the twins and put them in their high chairs for dinner. For dinner Cordelia and Elizabeth made mashed potatoes, asparagus, biscuits and steak.
Cordelia "Daniel can you feed Alexander so that I can feed Adeline?"
Daniel "Of course love."
Elizabeth "Alright, let's pray so then we can eat."
After they prayed they all ate their dinner. After dinner they washed the dishes and got plates and forks for cake.
Elizabeth "You and Daniel go sit down and I will bring out the cakes."
Cordelia "Alright Mother."
Cordelia and Daniel sat down while Elizabeth got the cakes. Elizabeth put the cakes down and took off the lid to reveal them.
Cordelia "They look beautiful Mother!"
Daniel "They look great Elizabeth!"
Elizabeth "Alexander's cake is chocolate and Adeline's is Vanilla."
Cordelia "Sounds good."
Elizabeth "How do you want to do it?"
Daniel "I will go get matches so that I can light the candles."
After Daniel got the matches everyone sang happy birthday."
Everyone "Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Adeline and Alexander, happy birthday to you."
After they sang happy birthday Cordelia and Daniel helped the twins blow out the candles.
Elizabeth "Who wants what kind."
Cordelia "Why don't we give Alexander and Adeline a piece of their own cake."
Elizabeth "Sounds good."
Daniel "I will have a little bit of both please."
Elizabeth "Alright, here you go."
Cordelia "May I also have a little bit of both please."
Elizabeth "Of course. Here you go."
After Elizabeth was done cutting everyone else's cake she cut a little bit of both for herself. After cake Daniel and Elizabeth helped the twins open presents.
Later on that night.
Elizabeth had left, and Cordelia and Daniel had put the twins to bed and now they were just talking to each other.
Cordelia "Today was a great day!"
Daniel "Yes it was!"
Cordelia "I can not wait to watch the twins grow up more."
Daniel "Me either."
Daniel kissed Cordelia on the lips, and with that they went to sleep.
I hope everyone liked my first story. I am sorry this chapter took so long I have bin busy with school since that just started, and other stuff. Thank you guys for reading my first story. I am hoping to write another story, I don't know when I will put that one out yet but I will let you know when It is out. ð
