Boyce curved the corners of his mouth, he was smiling.
âOh.â Armand knew there really was something good about him based on the expression on his face, âNo wonder you want to buy us a meal, is it that you have something good to show us?â
g Ɐ ln Ï Î½ð® âsâ¤com, where stories thrive Boyce looked at him, âI donât like to show off as much as you do.â
âWhat can I show off?â Armand laughed. Even though he had faced so much hardship, there was nothing more valuable than staying with Theresa safely at this moment.
In front of them, Jasmine and Theresa had entered the house. Dolores and Matthew were the first to arrive. Although they had moved away from the bungalow, they were still asking someone to clean the place, so the bungalow was very clean and dust free even though there was no one staying here.
Seeing that they had arrived, Dolores poured herself some cups of water and placed them on the table.
âBoyce, I hear youâve been promoted.â Dolores put down the mug, looked up and asked him.
Boyce sat down on the couch, âYou sure have your fingers on the pulse, youâve known even if I didnât tell you.â
Dolores laughed, she had heard it from Matthew too. She didnât know how Matthew knew, but it was normal for him to have his fingers on the pulse since he had so many contacts.
âIâll take this opportunity to say a few words as well.â Armand put his arm around Theresa and said, âTheresa and I have planned it, weâve come back this time to pick up Grandma.â
âWhere do you want to take her?â Boyce had just returned from work a short time before, he knew nothing about the business of Armand staying in C-Town.
Hence, he asked him about it.
Armand again explained the matter of him going to C-Town, âGrandmaâs illness is serious, but this is a good thing for me, as I can finally stay with Theresa.â
He had come a long way to get here.
Armandâs grandmother was already suffering from Alzheimerâs disease, her memories worsened when she fell and injured her brain again. Most of her memories stopped in the past, and she seemed to have forgotten recent ones. Forgetting those unhappy memories was a good thing for Armand.
âYouâre going to live there, how about hereâ¦â
âIâve already arranged all the things here.â Armand knew what Boyce was going to ask.
Boyce patted him. The doorbell rang at that moment, it was the delivery.
Dolores got up and went to open the door. Three people were coming with some boxes of food in their hands, Dolores stood sideways to let them in, âPut them on the table.â
Soon, the delivery people put the boxes of food on the table.
When they left, Dolores closed the door, then walked over to the table and opened the food boxes. Theresa and Jasmine had also come to help her.
Dolores said, âI can do this in a moment all by myself, why are the men coming too?â
âThe men are talking, we canât say a word.â Jasmine smiled and asked, âDo we have to put them on the plates?â.
Theresa said, âThe food is already well packed, putting them on the plates just makes them look good, and weâll have to clean them up afterwards.â
âYouâre right.â Jasmine asked Dolores, âDolores, why are you moving into Nelson Manor and donât want to stay here anymore?â
Dolores looked down to hide her excitement, she told her that Jayden was in poor health and they missed the old place, thatâs why they had moved back.
When they finished setting out the dishes, Theresa shouted toward the men in the living room, âThey can eat while they talk.â
âThey promoted Boyce today, weâll celebrate, Iâll go have a bottle of wine here,â Dolores said.
âWeâve driven all this way, how do we go home if we drink?â Armand pulled Theresa and sat down.
Dolores stopped moving, she thought what Armand said was right.
âIsnât it that we can get a driver to drive for us? Itâs rare that we can get together, Iâm sure Boyce will be very busy in the future after being promoted, while Armand and I are also going to live in C-Town. Thereâs no telling when weâll be able to meet again, so weâll just stick to drinking a little, how about it?â said Theresa smiling.
After that, they all thought that what Theresa said was right, if they ate without drinking, then it would be boring, so they took two bottles over there.
Dolores wanted to serve them the wine initially, but Boyce had taken the bottle and said, âLet me do it.â
Dolores handed him the bottle and sat down.
She poured the wine for them one at a time starting with Matthew, only she didnât pour it for Jasmine, which Theresa had teased him about, âI didnât know Boyce knew how to take such good care of someone in the past.â He looked at Jasmine smiling, âYou married the right person. See, he poured the wine for Lola and me, but he didnât do it for you, he really cares about you.â
Jasmine felt a little embarrassed, her face turning red at Theresaâs words.
She lowered her head shyly.
Boyce was still not pouring Jasmineâs wine when Theresa finished speaking.
She sat down and set the bottle aside, âShe doesnât know how to drink.â
âSo, do we know how to drink?â Dolores laughed.
They were just teasing them, they werenât against Jasmine and they were just teasing Boyce. âThen youâll drink to Jasmine.â
âSure.â Boyce immediately responded without hesitation.
Armand just looked at Boyce, âFaster go away, stop being lovey dovey. Weâre celebrating your promotion, how can it be if your wife doesnât drink?â.
Armand took the wine which he put in front of Boyce, then poured the wine for Jasmine and said, âWe are celebrating for your husband today, you canât let us down.â
âArmand.â Theresa glared at him.
She just wanted to tease Boyce, she really didnât want to let Jasmine drink since she was the youngest in the place and still a college student, it was really inappropriate for her to drink.
Jasmine got up and poured a glass of water, âIâll replace the wine with water.â
Armand still wanted to say something, but Dolores had interrupted him, âItâs okay, just drink the water.â
She seemed to have realized something, it wasnât because Jasmine couldnât drink, she had drunk last time too. Since everyone was here today, surely she hadnât done it intentionally.
âSheâs been married to Boyce for quite some time now, maybe sheâs pregnant?
Dolores wasnât sure about that, she was just guessing.
Or else she couldnât think of another reason why Jasmine refused to drink.
âYou guys started this first, now itâs you again who have stopped me, why are women so fickle?â Armand sat up.
Theresa pinched his ear, âIf Iâm capricious, will I stay with you wholeheartedly?â
âOuch.â Armand soon cringed, âThere are a lot of people here, please keep your face from me.â
âDo you still have a face?â Boyce said wryly, âDonât you always get punished by Theresa for kneeling on the washboard at home?â
Armandâs eyes widened and he looked at Boyce fiercely, then his eyes fell on Jasmine, who was sitting next to him. âDid you hear that, Jasmine? He likes to kneel on the washboard, will you let him kneel on it when you come home today, he likes it.â
âYouâre the one he likes.â Boyce poured half the wine from his glass into Armandâs, âYou need to drink more, so youâll shut up.â
âBeat it, you drank it, I donât want it.â Armand picked up his glass, and was going to give the wine back.
Boyce said, âI havenât drunk it.â
âYou still canât, or will I let Jasmine drink for you?â Armand turned to Jasmine as he was speaking, âYouâll finish drinking this for your husband, heâd already drank it anyway.â
Boyce stopped him and took the glass, âArmand, why are you so annoying?â
âAm I annoying just because I let your wife drink?â Armand looked at him, âWhy do I get the feeling that something is wrong with them, is it that they are sick?â.
Thinking about this, Armand gave a serious look to his face.
âIt is you who are sick.â Boyce wished he could open Armandâs brain and see whatâs inside.
âThen whyâ¦â
âIs Boyce going to be a father?â Dolores interrupted Armand and glanced at Jasmine.
