In such a large hospital, people had to queue up for their medical appointments during the day. However, during the night it was a totally different story, as there were not many people in the hospital. They parked the car, entered through the ward building and got into an elevator Armand stood far away from the couple.

Boyce asked him, “Are we infected with some kind of contagious disease?

Why are you socially distancing yourselves from us?”.

Armand laughed, “Not exactly, you being together poisons me.”

Back at the supermarket, Jasmine basically stuck to Boyce’s arm. So far, even in the elevator, she hadn’t been separated from him.

Their amorous activities shone brighter than Betelgeuse in the night sky.

Onlookers not only felt pain in their teeth and suffered reddening eyes, all they could do was give a glance as the couple continued to shine like a star with their intimacy.

Jasmine smiled.

Armand shot her a look, “Why are you laughing?”. Jasmine replied, “Am I committing a crime by laughing?”. Armand was taken aback by her response.

A witty one, this Jasmine.

The elevator stopped with a “ding,” and as soon as the doors opened, Armand stepped out of the elevator.

Boyce sighed, “How childish.”

Armand glared back at him, glared at him and contemplated spitting out curse words, but chose not to for Jasmine’s sake.

Without batting an eyelash, the two of them were having a lot of fun playing hard to get with each other.

All to piss him off.

Back in the living room, Dolores stared into Matthew’s eyes and asked, “Just this once, please?”

Matthew stood his ground, “No can do, that’s not healthy for you.”

Dolores threw a tantrum, kicked him and said, “Go away, leave me alone!”.

Matthew grabbed her ankle and said softly, “Be a good girl and listen to me, okay? I’ll get you something else to eat, what do you want?”.

“I don’t want anything else, I just want a spicy hot pot.” She was aware that the spicy hot pot was unhealthy, but her fussy mouth wanted it and only wanted it.

Dolores could easily be stubborn, and when she did Matthew could do nothing about it.

“I’ll ask Carol to make you some spicy hot pot, okay?” Matthew asked as he tapped the sole of her foot.

Dolores shook her head, “It doesn’t taste the same if Carol makes it.” And with that, Matthew was out of ideas.

Someone was knocking on the bedroom door. Matthew pulled the blanket over his legs. She was wearing a dress so tightly rolled up that her thigh was in full view of the world.

“I’ll get the door.” Matthew said as he stood up.

Dolores recomposed her expressions and calmed down.

As stubborn as she was, she still knew how to control herself.

Besides, someone else was visiting them and her stubborn side was only showing in front of Matthew.

“We came to visit Dolores.”

Matthew opened the door and saw Armand.

He stepped back from the door and allowed them to enter.

“Do you know what Boyce has been doing behind our backs?” said Armand as he entered the room.

Boyce gave him a withering look, “Didn’t I say I didn’t have a chance to tell you guys?”

Armand was actively pissing Boyce off, as he was annoyed and jealous of him. “What do you mean I don’t have a chance, I don’t have a phone, or did Matthew just get in a rocket and go into space, so you can’t communicate with both of us?”

Matthew looked slowly and menacingly at Armand, which immediately made him back down from his stance, “I was the one who went into space.”

Jasmine laughed at his panic, as she found him sulking one second and immediately backing away the next. With something in her hands, she asked, “Can I come in?”.

Matthew saw the things in her hands and nodded.

Jasmine entered the room, tiptoeing. Seeing her, Dolores asked with a smile, “I’m glad you’re here.” She listened to everything they said.

Jasmine replied in a soft voice, “Mhmm, I hope I’m not intruding.”

Dolores shook her head, “Not at all, I’m glad you came. I’m bored out of my mind here.”

Jasmine smiled, placed some food on the table and said, “I bought this on the way here, although I don’t know what you really liked to eat, so I bought some random things for you.”

Dolores replied, “Now that you mention it, I’ve been getting hungry very easily lately.”

“I heard that your baby is growing right now, so they need more nutrients during this period.”

Dolores smiled, “You are a knowledgeable girl, did you know that?”.

Jasmine smiled and gave her some treats.

Dolores duly accepted her treats.

Jasmine opened the box of treats, took out a piece of scrumptious looking dessert and handed it to Dolores. She then picked up a glass of water and set it down on the table.

The dessert was packaged. It came with its own plate and spoon. She took a spoonful of the dessert and ate it. It wasn’t very sweet, it was fluffy and had a thick lemon flavor.

Jasmine sat in a chair next to the bed and waited a while before saying, “Boyce and I are engaged.”

Dolores stopped eating for a second, startled, turned slowly and looked at her in surprise.

Jasmine smiled, “Did I surprise you?”.

Dolores shook her head and replied, “No, not really.”

She was, as she hadn’t expected Boyce to act so quickly.

“I was afraid of being affected by bad influences, so I wanted to end the engagement as soon as possible. I’m glad he did, though, because otherwise I’d be giving him trouble again.”

“Did something happen?” asked Dolores.

She had been holed up in the hospital for days, so she was effectively cut off from what was going on in the outside world.

So Jasmine briefly told her about the incident where someone reported Boyce.

Dolores was confused, why would people report Boyce?

“Don’t worry about it, it’s over now.” Jasmine regretted her decision to tell Dolores, as she ended up worrying her for nothing.

She shouldn’t have told Dolores about this.

“Dolores.”

Armand, who was near the door, said, “You know Boyce and Jasmine are engaged, right?” Dolores nodded.

“I’m thinking they should both invite us to a party.” proposed Armand.

Dolores replied, “But why, it’s not like I can eat anything in my current state, so count me out.”

Since the doctor had said she shouldn’t leave the hospital in her current state, even if she wanted to bleed Boyce’s wallet with a lavish feast, she couldn’t openly defy the doctor’s advice.

“I have a very easy solution to this,” Armand added, “We’ll have people send the food here, so you can join our feast, too.”
