Jasmineâs head slammed against Boyceâs chest. She covered her forehead as she cocked her head to the side to break away from his embrace and laughed with a sheepish look, âI was wrong.â No man could accept a woman telling him he wasnât a man.
This was a manâs dignity.
Boyce stiffened, âWhere did you go wrong?â
Jasmine lowered her head, laced her fingers together and said quietly, âI shouldnât have said you werenât a man.â Boyce gaped.
Jasmine realized she had made a mistake and hastened to correct, âI shouldnât have said you werenât a man.â
Boyce was speechless.
Why did this sentence not seem at all correct to him?
âHow are you going to apologize to me?â Boyce looked serious, but he was heated inside.
Jasmine curled her body and snuggled into his arms, whispering, âIâll apologize however you want me to. Iâll be sure to make you happy.â
She behaved so well in that moment that Boyce didnât know what to do.
He cleared his throat, âYou stay here today, then.â Jasmine gaped.
Jeez, Boyce offered to stay with her overnight?
Did she mishear?
Or, did he say it wrong?
âWhat did you say?â Jasmine was happy on the surface, but nervous inside.
Although she was open in front of him, after all, it was also the first time.
She felt nervous in her heart inevitably, but she anticipated it even more.
Boyce thought he had startled her and blinked, âI, I saidâ¦â
âYou said Iâm staying here tonight.â Fearing heâd back out, Jasmine stressed it first, telling him sheâd heard him.
Boyce said, âIf youâre not ready, forget it then.â
âI am ready,â Jasmine said quickly.
She pressed her face against his chest, âI wonât marry you if I wasnât ready yet. I want to be with you.â
He lifted his head after saying that. She had a twinkle in her eye as she said solemnly, âI always feel guilty when Iâm with you.â
Boyce frowned and asked, âWhy?â
Jasmine pouted, âI feel like Iâm always causing you trouble.â She had been reported because of him.
Boyce patted her on the back and said comfortingly, âNone of this has anything to do with you. Itâs my business.â
Knowing he was comforting her, Jasmine bowed her head and kissed his chin, asking shyly, âWhat are we having for dinner tonight?â
âLater Armand will come over and weâll go to the hospital together,â Boyce said.
It dawned on Jasmine that they were going to visit Dolores in the hospital today. She hurriedly got up from Boyceâs arms, âWe have to buy something when we go to the hospital.â
âEven if theyâre not short of anything, itâs manners.â Jasmine pulled Boyce up.
Boyce cooperatively got up and followed her.
Jasmine smiled, âYou have to pay for the groceries. I have to save my money.â
Boyce said, âOkay.â
Jasmine went to the bathroom to tie up her messy hair and wash her face. Then she went out with Boyce.
When they got to the door, Armand, who had just arrived in his car, rolled down the window and asked, âWhat are you doing there?â
Jasmine took Boyce by the arm, âWeâre going to the grocery store to buy some things. Why donât you come with us and weâll go to the hospital together when weâre done shopping.â
Armand looked at Jasmine and said with a smirk, âAre you kidding me?â
Jasmine replied, âNo. Are you going or not?â.
Armand thought about it for a moment and said, âOkay, but you guys pay and Iâll take it.â
âNo way.â Jasmine pulled Boyce to walk quickly.
Armand rejoiced and said, âShow off.â
Jasmine said, âYouâre jealous.â Armand was speechless.
After a long moment, he just said, âHow irritating.â
âHow humiliating it was to say that out loud, even if she had seen it.â They laughed and joked and went to the supermarket together.
After they entered the supermarket, Armand said, âWe donât have anything to buy, do we? Matthew is very rich and doesnât lack anything.â
Jasmine dragged Boyce to the side of the bakery, âItâs manners, nothing to do with being rich.â
Armand pocketed his pockets and followed them out the back, feeling foolish. What was the point of following them here?
Armand felt overwhelmed, giving a glance at the intimate look of the two.
As soon as they entered the pastry shop, they could smell the sweet aroma of the pastries inside.
Although Jasmine had never had a baby, she had long since entered society and had heard many people say that it was easy to be hungry when pregnancy reached its later stages because the fetus absorbed more nutrients.
Therefore, it was not only appetizing to buy some light, but also nutritious snacks.
Jasmine chose a few that were delicate and tasted good.
On her way out, she bought a bouquet of flowers at the floristâs shop in the driveway.
Boyce had driven her car. Otherwise she would have had to ask Armand to return them later.
They arrived at the hospital together.
