Jasmine went to school to enroll today and ran into her old teacher. Her teacher was very happy to hear that she could come back for further studies.

She also decided to make the most of this opportunity.

She would not be as impulsive as last time.

She didn’t have class today, so she went back. She didn’t expect to see someone she didn’t know at the door.

“Are you…?”

Jasmine didn’t know Theresa Gordon, but Theresa had seen her before.

She hadn’t seen her personally. She’d only seen the picture of Jasmine that Armand had sent her.

“Are you Boyce Shawn’s girlfriend?” Theresa was a little unsure because Armand had also sent her Wendy Miller’s picture earlier. Jasmine unconsciously tugged at the corner of her clothes, “Yes…”

“You know Jasmine?” Coral walked over and asked.

Theresa smiled and said, “This is the first time I’ve met her personally, but I’ve seen her picture before.”

“Who sent you the picture?” Jasmine was surprised.

She was curious because she had never seen Theresa before.

Coral spoke up for Theresa before she could speak, “She’s Armand’s girlfriend.”

Jasmine suddenly realized, “Oh, hi.”

Theresa smiled back, “Hi.”

“Are you going out right now?” asked Jasmine.

Theresa nodded and said, “I was just about to go find your boyfriend Boyce to ask him something.”

Jasmine asked, “Are you going to ask him about Miss Flores?” Theresa paused and nodded her head.

She had always called Dolores Flores by her first name. She didn’t call her Miss Flores like Armand did. That’s why she didn’t realize Jasmine meant Dolores at first.

“I know. Let’s talk inside,” Jasmine said.

Theresa nodded and went back inside the house. Jasmine went inside as well. She took off her backpack, put it on the couch and sat down across from Theresa.

“Miss Flores suddenly went overseas because she was in poor health. The doctor wanted her to go into premature labor. But now she’s seven months pregnant, so premature delivery might not be good for the baby. They must have gone abroad for tests at hospitals overseas,” Jasmine said.

Theresa was concerned, “Did she say what the reason was?”

“It looks like the lining of her uterus is thin.”

Theresa understood. Most likely the cause was the birth of Dolores to Andrew Nelson and Amanda Nelson.

“Would you like to join us for dinner along with Armand?” asked Jasmine eagerly.

Theresa shook her head, “I’m here alone since he still has something to do. I’ll leave right after I see the kids.” Jasmine nodded.

Buzz…

Theresa’s phone vibrated inside her pocket.

She pulled out her phone. When she saw Dolores’ number on the caller ID displayed on the screen, she immediately answered the call.

“You called me?” Dolores’ voice boomed.

Theresa growled, “I hear you’ve gone overseas – how’s your health?”

Dolores sat in the spacious living room and gave a glance at the unfamiliar landscape outside through the French window. She said, “How did you hear about this?”

“I came to B-town and found out what happened to you.”

Dolores got off the bed and walked over to the French window. Then she lifted both legs, curled up on the couch and subtly said, “I was examined today.”

Although the doctor did not tell her what the result was, she could already guess from the doctor’s eyes that it was not good news.

Matthew Nelson was talking to the doctor at the time.

She was alone inside the room.

“No matter what the result is, you must calm down and keep a cheerful frame of mind. That’s the only way you’ll do well, do you understand?”

Dolores grunted in agreement and asked, “Did you go to B-town to see Armand?”

Theresa said no, “I came to see you.”

Dolores laughed. She obviously didn’t believe her, but she didn’t expose her.

The two talked some more and then she hung up when the door opened. She got up from the couch, looked toward the person who had just walked in, and asked, “What did the doctor say?”
