Boyce was surprised, “Why are you here?”

Armand finally looked at him again and asked rhetorically, “Can’t I come here?”.

Boyce denied and said to Jasmine, “Wait for me here.” And he left.

Armand didn’t move, however, and her eyes lingered on him for a moment, “No wonder you can stay outside. So there’s a beautiful woman with you.”

Boyce knew Armand was like that, and did not hesitate to tease him upon learning of his relationship with Jasmine.

He pulled him aside and asked solemnly, “I’m serious, how did you find your way here?”

“You called back – how could I not track your location? Besides, Dolores thought you were hurting for her and Matthew. She was worried about you and couldn’t let you go. She asked me to come take a look at you. Originally, it was Matthew who was going to come, but Simona was so scared that she wasn’t in a good mood, so Matthew couldn’t leave her side. And so, I came. I thought you would be scarred, dying and suffering. I didn’t expect you to have a good life here. How did you bring Jasmine here too?”

Boyce explained roughly, “She came here after she left B-town. It was a coincidence that I met her.”

“A coincidence?” Armand had a flirtatious smile as he mulled over his word, “A coincidence? I think it’s more like fate.”

Boyce frowned, “What nonsense are you talking?”

Armand laughed, “Is it nonsense?”.

Boyce didn’t bother him and walked over to the stone bar under the tree and sat down. Armand followed him, “Don’t forget there’s still a woman waiting for you in B-Town.”

Armand sat down next to him and gave him a look.

Boyce didn’t forget, “I was just about to go back to settle this matter.”

Armand jumped up in surprise and asked, “What did you say, you’re going back?”

Boyce nodded.

Armand scoffed, “Are you out of your mind?”

He calmed down a bit and turned to Boyce, “From what I’ve observed, Miss Miller will never let you go if you come back alive. She was obsessed with you, and how is she going to let you go easily?”.

Boyce pursed his lips. He had to give her an explanation, since he was the one who had promised her.

Armand knew it was about his supposed sense of responsibility, but he was too ignorant when it came to women.

He sat down and analyzed with Boyce, “Here’s the thing. You’ve already brought Miss Miller to me and Matthew to see her, which shows that you’ve already recognized her identity, and so you’ve introduced her to us as well. So, since you are now in a relationship with her, what will you do when you return if she refuses to break up with you?”

Boyce thought Wendy was not the kind of person who would pester him relentlessly. However, Armand was right, what if Wendy refused to break up?

She could never let Jasmine down and hurt her.

Jasmine had nothing left, and now all she had was him.

“So, what do you think I should do?” Boyce asked.

Now he had run out of ideas too.

Armand said confidently, “I’ve already thought of a solution for you. It’s not that I’m bad, Officer Miller is the only good man in the Miller Family.”

Boyce pretended not to hear him. After all, he had respect for Officer Miller. But Armand must have had his reasons for suddenly being so disgusted with the rest of the Miller Family.

“I didn’t tell the Miller Family that I had found you. I guess everyone in the Miller Family thinks you’ve already died in the river.” He looked at Boyce, “My plan is for you not to show yourself for these two months and stay here.”

Boyce frowned, “What kind of solution is this?”.

“After two months, if Wendy is still thinking about you, I think she really loves you. If she finds a new lover in less than two months, it only means that she doesn’t love you that much, but only wants to be with you because she sees you as a good person. Since he has already found a new partner by then, he will have no reason to bother you if you show yourself again.”

Boyce hesitated, “What if he doesn’t have a new partner in two months?”

Was he going to stay here forever?

“Then break the news to her that you’re dead for sure. Will she be waiting for you forever?” Armand emitted a “hmm,” obviously sensing that Wendy couldn’t last even the first two months and would definitely be looking for a new lover as soon as possible.

Boyce said after a moment, “This is cheating…”

“What’s wrong with cheating? Wendy was married, and what makes her think she can bother you?” Armand got angry as soon as he heard this.

Boyce looked down. He was in favor of Armand’s approach, he just felt sorry for Officer Miller cheating.

“So that’s it then.” Boyce accepted this idea of Armand’s.

Seeing that Boyce could go beyond the sense of responsibility in his heart and agree with him so quickly, it seemed that he had no feeling for Wendy at all.

He stepped closer to Boyce, and his hot breath hitched as he spoke, “Have you and Jasmine established a relationship?

Boyce pulled away and emitted hum.

Armand laughed, “Damn, that’s the way to go! This must be a blessing.”

Boyce didn’t bother with him and said thoughtfully, “I really like her and want to take care of her.”

Armand laughed, “Don’t tell me you just feel sorry for her – didn’t you always dislike her before, and now you don’t?”

Boyce gave him a look. Indeed, he had never thought of it that way. He simply felt that Jasmine wasn’t the right age for him.

Even if he had some feelings when he made contact with her, Boyce ignored it because it felt inappropriate.

When he saw someone pursuing Jasmine, he feared she was with someone else.

In fact, he liked her.

“When are you leaving?” asked Boyce.
