Jasmine looked at Boyce who made a stern face, a heartbeat skipped, âWhat?â.
Boyce didnât want to hide anything from her, âI promised to be Wendyâs boyfriendâ¦â he explained, âI donât like it.â
Jasmine picked up some food, popped it in her mouth and asked, âWhat are you trying to tell me?â
Boyce put down the corn he was holding and took Jasmineâs hand, looking at her, âI donât want to keep it from you, I have to go back to fix things and Iâll come find you when everything is settled. I wish you to keep studying, Iâm sure you could help others once you graduate. Itâs not easy to get into a good university, a lot of people donât get the chance, you should appreciate it.â
This time he didnât plan to take Jasmine with him, as he didnât know what Wendy might do to him. So he wanted to come get her once everything was settled.
She would be safer staying here for the time being.
Jasmine put down her silverware, walked over and sat on his lap, she wrapped her arms around his neck, âIâll listen to you.â
Boyceâs sincerity touched her heart and made her appreciate him more.
She hugged him tightly, âYou are my family from now on, my darling.â
Boyce lifted his hands and lingered for a few seconds in the air before he began to stroke her back.
Jasmine rested her chin on his shoulder and whispered in his ear, âI am deeply in love with you.â
Her warm breath fell on his ears and made him stiffen. This was the sensitive area for both women and men. He froze.
Jasmine noticed something strange and asked, âDid I hurt your wounds?â
âNo,â Boyce said hoarsely.
She dropped her hands and saw Boyceâs flushed face, as if he were drunk.
âYouâ¦â Jasmine wanted to ask him if he felt bad about his flushed face, but she realized his body was stiff because he was too close to her.
She wanted to laugh. Heâs in his thirties and so shy.
Then she deliberately tightened her embrace and pressed her body against his, smiling, âWe only have one bed, how are we going to sleep at night?â
He froze and replied quietly, âIâll sleep on the floor.â
âItâs cold on the floor, itâs bad for your body,â Jasmine scoffed.
Boyce remained silent.
He felt all his blood rushing to a single point in his body, he was about to burst, but he remained still. âJasmine, letâs go to dinner.â
Instead, Jasmine tightened her embrace, âI want to hug you, donât you like my embrace?â.
Boyce swallowed saliva, âI like it, but youâre still youngâ¦â
âIâm not young, Iâm an adult.â Jasmineâs lips were close to his neck, she discovered she was in love with him. He was such a gentleman, if he were any other man, she would have taken action by now.
She wasnât proud of her charm, but who would turn down a free lunch?
Boyce closed his eyes, suppressing his desire as much as he could.
Jasmine was still clinging to him, âYou still havenât answered me, thereâs only a single bed and itâs too cold to sleep on the floor, I wonât let you, do you want to share a bed with me?â
