Amanda was puzzled and thought it was very difficult.

The room was silent for a while. Suddenly, Oscar and Kevin burst out laughing.

It was only because they were both not members of the Nelson Family in the entire room.

Andrew shook his head and sighed, for his sister was already incorrigibly stupid.

Amanda was so angry with Andrew that she blurted it out. She regretted it as she finished saying it. She felt so embarrassed that she hugged Matthew and hid in his arms.

Matthew stroked his daughter’s back and comforted her, “It’s okay.” The girl continued to bury her face in his embrace and said nothing.

Matthew coaxed her and said, “Let me help you guess the riddle.”

Amanda immediately raised her head and asked, “Really?”.

His attitude quickly changed without giving her a chance to respond.

She laughed helplessly and said, “Yes.”

“Then tell me what goes on all fours in the morning, two at noon and three at night?”. Amanda was slightly aggressive as she was anxious to get it right.

Matthew analyzed for her and got her thinking, “When you were a baby…”.

“I know what it is.” Andrew had already thought of it as soon as Matthew gave a hint, “People.”

He smiled and explained, “When I was a baby I crawled on all fours, and now I I walk upright, but when people get older, they use a cane.”

Amanda looked at her brother with wide eyes, “How annoying!” He always answered before Amanda did.

“Oscar, you come up with another one.” She leaned over Matthew’s shoulder and whispered, “Dad, you must help me. I must beat my brother once.”

Matthew smiled fondly and helplessly, what could he do in the face of his daughter’s request?

He could only accede to it.

Oscar understood Amanda’s intention. He thought of another to cajole this wayward child, “What will the head stick out when the door closes?”

“Guess what.”

Amanda blinked as she thought in her mind that how could something keep sticking its head out when the door was closed? Wouldn’t it rip their heads off?

She shuddered as she thought, What kind of riddles were these?

It was far from easy to guess.

“Hey Dad, the buttons on your shirt are hurting me.”

Matthew hugged his daughter tightly. He deliberately let the buttons on her shirt hurt her, but this girl was slow-witted.

Andrew blinked as he watched Matthew’s expression. He guessed, “Is it a button?”.

Soon, he confirmed this answer in his mind, “The answer is a button. Haha, I guessed it correctly again.”

Amanda looked at him fiercely, “How can it be a button?”.

Oscar discouraged her, “It’s a button. When you button your clothes, don’t the buttons have to be exposed?”.

Once she heard that was actually the answer, Amanda immediately said, “I was the one who said buttons first. So I’m the one who guessed correctly.”

“You didn’t say that was the answer,” Andrew replied.

“I’m the one who guessed correctly since I said it first,” Amanda said loudly as if whoever spoke the loudest was right.

Kevin said to Oscar, who was sitting next to him, “Amanda sure is naughty.” Oscar laughed too.

Dolores came out and called them in for dinner.

Amanda jumped out of Matthew’s arms and ran to Dolores. She said aggrieved, “Mommy, my brother always bullies me.”

Dolores patted his head, “How come your brother bullies you?”

“All right, you guessed correctly. You’re smart, okay? Don’t always complain. You’ll be going to an elementary school soon and don’t be so childish.” Andrew walked to the dining room and sat in the last chair after saying that.

“You’re a child too. Don’t just talk about your sister.” Dolores looked at him.

He was still young, but every day he was acting like an adult.

“Hehe.” Amanda was glad when she heard Dolores scold her brother. She forgot about the unpleasant things now and was no longer angry. She made her way to the dining room and sat down next to her brother.

“Brother, you’re not much older than me. It’s only a few minutes.”

Andrew looked at his sister, “A few minutes still makes me older than you. You’ll have to call me big brother for the rest of your life.”

“I’d rather be your little sister. You are my big brother and you have to be nice to your sister, do you understand? If not, it’s not right. The older one is supposed to take care of the younger ones, you know?” This he learned in C-Town preschool.

He used it to argue with Andrew. This little guy was still very smart.

Today’s dinner was delicious. Theresa was also helping in the kitchen. Dolores saw her washing dishes and vegetables when she came into the kitchen.

Dolores answered without hesitation, “Once, of course.” She hadn’t thought about getting married a second time.

Matthew gave her a look and smiled gently.

She belonged to him for the rest of her life.

“Why don’t we make it even bigger since it only happens once in a lifetime?”

Oscar didn’t think there was anything wrong with that. It wasn’t because they were poor, however, he could afford it since the money had been left by his father anyway.

He simply felt that Dolores was his older brother’s only daughter. Therefore, there was to be a big wedding if she married.

It was undoubtedly true.

Jayden felt sorry for Victoria. Now, his son was getting married and he did not want his son to regret it. Therefore, he also wanted the wedding to be even grander. He saw his son as his spiritual hope for realizing his dream.

“Be calm and take care of your baby, we will arrange everything,” Kevin said.

The wedding venue was decided together by Jayden and him. He knew Jayden’s intention, as Matthew was his only nephew.

The wedding was just around the corner, but the preparations were not yet complete. Oscar had initially come to attend the wedding, but ended up taking care of the preparations as well.
