Matthew pretended he hadn’t heard her and slept on as he hugged her.

Dolores frowned, “I really want to take a picture of you looking like a cad and show it to your company staff.”

Matthew walked over to her and said in a husky voice like someone who just woke up, “Do you want me to take my clothes off so you can take a picture of me?”

Dolores was speechless.

The word ‘scoundrel’ could no longer describe him.

“Stop teasing me, I really have to get up.” Dolores said seriously, “I’m going downstairs to see if Armand was drunk all night last night. I’m not sure if Theresa is still asleep.”

Previously, Theresa had seemed pretty steady. But yesterday, it seemed that she wasn’t as ruthless as she looked when confronted with Armand.

She sighed as she wondered how she could help them both be okay.

“What are you sighing for?” Matthew lifted his head and looked at her. The day had just dawned and it wasn’t good to sigh first thing in the morning.

“I wonder if there’s something on Theresa’s mind that she hasn’t told me. She doesn’t seem to have completely given up hope on Armand. Hey… What are you doing!” She was saying something when Matthew actually bit her.

“Can you stop thinking about other people’s business all the time?” Matthew was no longer sleepy and reached out to stroke her stomach, “For our baby’s sake you should worry less.”

Dolores lifted her shirt and looked at her waist. Fortunately, there were no marks left. Matthew pinched her cheek, “I have a sense of proportion.”

“I thought you…never mind. Get up.” She lifted the blanket and got off the bed. Matthew sat still, “What do you mean now, you want to scold me?”

She put on her slippers and went to the closet to find the clothes she wanted to wear today. She said without looking back, “Well, I mean you are very childish.”

Matthew turned his back to her. He cupped his chin as he admired his wife’s delicate body which was very slender despite being pregnant. She wore a camisole nightgown with white and off-white arms uncovered. Her long black hair was spread out at the back of her head, but it didn’t look messy even though she hadn’t combed it yet.

He told Dolores that Jayden would be back from White City in the next few days. He was due back for his wedding as he was also missing the kids.

Dolores asked him if Kevin was coming.

Matthew said he would be coming.

“That’s good. Let him stay here in the future too. He is older now and has no one around him. We will take care of him in the future.” Dolores pulled out the clothes she was going to wear today and looked back at him, “Do you really want to have the wedding?”

Matthew nodded, “I’ve already chosen the venue. You don’t have to do anything. I’ll arrange everything.”

Dolores could only nod, “I’ll have to invite my uncle to come at that time.”

Matthew got off the bed. He walked over to her and hugged her, “We’ll invite whoever you want.”

Dolores pushed him away, “I’m going to wash up.”

Matthew kissed her cheek, “Go ahead.”

He changed clothes after washing up. He couldn’t go downstairs in his pajamas because there were outside people in the house. He came out after dressing neatly. As he passed the checkroom and saw Matthew fixing the sleeves of his shirt, he went in and took a look at the color of his pants. Then he picked up a suitable tie, “Let me help you.”

She walked over to him and pulled up the collar of his shirt to insert the tie. Then she folded it down and tied a gentle tie knot. Matthew lowered his head and looked at her with a serious expression. He said, “Your daughter complained about me not escorting her.”

Dolores looked at him and asked, “When?”

“Yesterday.” He reached out to caress his wife’s belly, “I’d like her to be born soon. Then we can go on our honeymoon after the wedding.”

Dolores also lowered her head and looked at her big belly, “Forget about the honeymoon. You should spend more time with the two children if you are free.”

She had already given birth to two children and now she was still pregnant. She wasn’t looking forward to getting married. After all, they had already been married for a lifetime.

“I’m actually very young, but I feel like a middle-aged person.” She laughed and made fun of herself.

Matthew was disgusted by this comment and reached up to lift her chin, “Well, what nonsense are you talking about?”

Dolores pushed his hand away and turned around to grab her suit, “Come and put it on.”

She reached into her sleeves as she remembered the nonsense her daughter had said. She said, “What has the child been watching at home every day?”

“School hasn’t started yet. She doesn’t go to preschool anymore since you came back. Except for taking Cotton, she hardly goes out. She only watches TV at home.” Dolores straightened her shirt collar and raised her head to ask, “What did he say?”

“That he watches less TV in the future. It’s not beneficial. I see she’s quite interested in drawing, why don’t you go and sign her up for a drawing class.” Her brain ached every time she thought about what her daughter had said.

Dolores said, “I’ll consider it. I’m going downstairs now.”

Matthew replied, “Sure.”

Everyone downstairs was already awake. Even Amanda, who wanted to continue sleeping, was awakened by Coral.

Dolores came down just as Armand was about to go home.

“Have breakfast before you go,” Dolores called and stopped him.

Armand stood in the doorway, “I caused you trouble last night.”

“Nothing troublesome, just that you have to drink less as it is not good for your health,” Dolores said fondly as having too much alcohol was not healthy.

Armand lowered his head, “I’ll keep that in mind in the future.”

“Come in and have breakfast before you go.” Dolores asked Lucy, “Is breakfast ready?”.

“Breakfast is ready, do you want to eat now?”

“Well, serve it then.” She let Armand in, “I’ll go see if Theresa is awake.”

He walked over and knocked on Theresa’s bedroom door. Theresa was already awake and also well dressed. She put on her makeup as she was afraid her dark circles under her eyes would show.

Dolores came over and answered her, “You were up so early, didn’t you sleep well tonight?”

“I slept well, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get up so early,” Theresa said as she smiled.

Dolores said nothing. It wasn’t good to ask her anything first thing in the morning.

Lucy served breakfast at the table. She helped Theresa sit in the chair in front of the dining room table. She asked when she saw that Armand had not yet arrived, “Why don’t you come in, aren’t you hungry?”

“I haven’t changed my clothes and I still seem to have the smell of alcohol.”

Armand couldn’t stand the smell and was afraid of being smelled.

“We don’t care.” Amanda grabbed his hand, “Hurry inside and eat.” Armand followed the girl to the dining room table.

Amanda lifted her head and looked at Theresa, “Renee, do you dislike Armand?”

Armand instinctively raised his head and glanced at Theresa.
