âWhy, you donât like the major you chose?â Boyce raised his head, looked at her and asked.
Jasmine lowered her head, poking the bread into her bun, âOf course I like it. Otherwise I wouldnât have picked it in the first place. Butâ¦â
âBut what, youâve had second thoughts?â Boyce didnât understand what she meant.
Jasmine laughed with aplomb, âItâs just that I have other thoughts now.â
âCare to tell me?â
Jasmine dipped the bread she had poked into the hot sauce and popped it into her mouth. Then she said slowly, âI already told you. But you didnât understand what I meant.â
âI didnât understand what you meant?â Boyce felt he had heard her right.
Had he misunderstood something or had he misheard?
âItâs all right. Come, try this.â Jasmine put some food on his plate, deliberately changing the subject. She knew he wouldnât think much of it, but she also feared he might know what was going through her mind.
Boyce didnât pursue the matter any further.
After eating, the two left the restaurant. Jasmine smiled and said, âIâve helped you save a lot of money, havenât I? This meal only cost a little over a hundred yuan.â

If they had eaten at the previous restaurant, ordering a few dishes would already cost a few hundred yuan.
The main selling point of the previous restaurant was not its dishes. It was more about its ambience, the whole high-class decor.
Boyce said, âLet me take you back.â
âThis is near the university. I can come back with a cab.â Jasmine looked at him, âYou must be very busy.â
âI have time to take you back.â Boyce unlocked his car, âHop in.â
Jasmine smiled at him, âThanks then.â
Boyce looked at her, started the car and said, âYou donât have to thank you. You helped me today.â
Here, he knew the way to school. Therefore, he could drive to the college without Jasmine giving him directions.
He stopped his car a short distance from her college, âI would let you go here.â
After what happened last time, Boyce had to be careful. He wasnât afraid of his reputation or anything, but he was afraid that he might get Jasmine in trouble. After all, she was a girl.
If some bad words spread, they would hurt her more.
Jasmine unbuckled her seat belt and got out of the car, âDrive safe.â
Boyce said, âCall me if you need anything.â
Jasmine nodded, pulled to the side of the road and watched Boyce drive away.
As Boyceâs car pulled away, she turned around and walked into the college. However, she did not realize that a road, which had stopped by the side of the road, witnessed her getting out of Boyceâs car.
From her father, Wendy learned that Jasmine was a student at HQ College. Coincidentally, the principalâs daughter was Wendyâs friend. They used to visit her at her house.
After being reprimanded by her father, Wendy felt that Jasmine was the one who had sabotaged her. She knew Boyce very well. He was a complete knucklehead and old-fashioned. How could he fall in love with a freshman? Jasmine must have seduced him first.
He quickly drove his car, passed Jasmine and entered the college before she did.
When Jasmine returned to the university, she went back to her dorm and washed her clothes first. Her class starts at 3 p.m., so it would be too early for her to go to school now.
After washing her clothes, she took a nap. At about 2:00 p.m. she goes to the university, and when I arrive, she is called into the office by her professor.
âHave you offended anyone recently?â
Jasmine shook her head, âNo, I didnât.â
âIf not, why would anyone bring up the subject from before, and even bring it up with the principal?â
âWhat happened?â Jasmine frowned, hadnât that issue been resolved? Whoâs spreading rumors again?
âYou have to write a self-reflection report.â The professor also felt helpless. But since it was an order from his superior, there was nothing he could do.
âJust write a self-reflection report?â Jasmine felt it wouldnât be that easy.
The professor let out a sigh. Anyway, Jasmine would find out sooner or later. âAfter you write it, you have to read it in front of the whole university. The university board wants to use this as material for a negative example.â
âHow can they do this?â Jasmine clenched her fist. âThis matter has long since passed. I can accept it if they want me to write a self-reflection, but to put it as news on the college blackboard, and read it in front of the whole collegeâ¦â
âI know itâs hard for you to accept it. But if you want to graduate in peace, you must listen to them obediently.â The professor could do nothing as it was an order from his superior.
Jasmine clenched her fist, saying nothing.
âGo back to class. Hang in there for the sake of your studies.â The professor consoled her.
Jasmine understood that this society had always been like this. People could do whatever they wanted if they were rich and famous.
She had vaguely guessed that Elisa must be behind all these shenanigans.
Last time it had been her too.
However, she would not back down. She was capable of doing anything to finish her studies.
If she wanted a better future, she had to graduate from this university. Only then, she could have a chance to be paired with Boyce.
She would not let this matter defeat her.
The professor patted her shoulders, âGo back to the classroom, your class will start soon.â
Jasmine lowered her head, gritted her teeth and walked out of the office. It was as if she was a fish swimming against the current; even though it was difficult, she kept swimming with all her might.
The professor let out a sigh. Jasmine had been excelling in her studies, so someone might be jealous of her. However, it was an order from her superior, and she could not change her decision.
Fortunately, she was able to endure it. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Hopefully, everything will work out for her in the end.
At the villa.
Matthew went to the villa after he left the company so he could avoid Charles. He thought about taking his daughter to the pet store, but they had already gone there in the morning. Since he was free the rest of the day, he stayed home and accompanied Dolores.
He also told her about the wedding.
Dolores was half lying in bed, looking lethargic and without energy. She narrowed her eyes and said, âYou can decide.â
Matthew moved her head, put it on his lap, and played with the hair by her ear, âArenât you happy?â
âThen can you make me laugh?â her eyelashes fluttered, her eyes widening slightly.
Matthew was speechless.
It didnât seem difficult. He reached out and tried to tickle her. Dolores stopped him in time, âYouâre not allowed to use your hands. You can only tell me some jokes to make me laugh.â Matthew was speechless.
âYouâre bullying me.â He pressed his body against her. Dolores pushed his face away, âYou canât get that close to me, you havenât made me laugh yet.â
âYou make it hard for me.â Matthew thought hard, but couldnât come up with any jokes. After thinking for a while, he said seriously, âHow about if I grab you by your pant leg and pitifully beg you, can you laugh now?â
âPoof!â Dolores giggled.
Matthew didnât understand, âWas this funny?â.
Dolores wanted to tell him yes. Suddenly, Matthewâs phone, which was in his pocket, rang. He pulled it out and saw Armandâs name on the screen, âItâs Armand.â
Dolores said, âYou can answer it.â
Matthew answered the call. However, Armandâs voice was not coming from the other end of the phone. It was a womanâs voice: âHello?â.
Matthew frowned, âWho are you?â.
Why was there another woman next to Armand, didnât he want Theresaâs heart back?
Dolores realized something wasnât right. She stood up and put her ear to her phone, trying to listen to what the other party was saying.
âHello, this is Bar TY. This gentleman is drunk. Weâve seen your number on his phone, so weâre calling you, can you come pick him up, please.â
Matthew furrowed his eyebrows even more. He was having a hard time finding time to accompany his wife. Armand sure knew how to pick the perfect time to bother him.
âYou should go.â Dolores touched him.
Matthew hung up the phone and looked at her, âHave you asked Theresa, is there any chance sheâll go back to Armand?â Obviously, Armand was drunk because of Theresa.
If there was no hope for Armand, she would try to persuade him to give up Theresa. There was no point in dragging it out like this.
Dolores joined in, but she didnât tell Matthew how Theresa felt about Armand: âI donât think thereâs anyone at Armandâs house who can take care of him. Why donât you bring Armand to the villa and let Theresa talk to him about this?â
Matthew thought that was a good idea. It wasnât their place to interfere with their relationship problems, so it was a good idea to let the two of them talk it over between them.
âMy wife is so smart.â Matthew cupped her face and kissed her forehead, âIâll go first.â
Dolores answered him with an âum.â When Matthew left, he went downstairs and saw Lucy helping Theresa out of her room.
Seeing Dolores coming downstairs, Theresa smiled at him and said, âIâm feeling bored in the room, so I thought Iâd go outside and get some air.â
Dolores knew that Matthew would be taking Armand to the villa later, so it wouldnât be good if Theresa could see Armand in that drunken state.
