Tiana stood by the door. Dolores was stunned because she didnât expect to see Tiana here at such an early hour.
âHello, Dolores,â Tiana greeted Dolores.
Dolores smiled, âWhat brings you here so early, is there something I can help you with?â.
Tiana nodded sincerely, âCharles tried to call you, but the call didnât connect. So I had to come see if youâre okay.â
Dolores remembered the calls from this morning. Her doubts were cleared.
She stepped aside and invited Tiana into the house, âCome in first.â
Tiana shook her head, âNo, I should get straight to the point,â Tiana pointed to the black car stopped outside. The windows of the car were covered with black film and made it impossible to see through the window.
Declan sent John back to the Meyer mansion around four oâclock. Charles also made arrangements the night before and got Tom to prepare a car to transport John.
Charles did not send John directly to White City after picking him up. Instead, he called Dolores. However, Dolores did not take the call. So, Charles asked Tiana to go to Doloresâ house to see what had happened.
It was an opportunity for Charles to see Dolores, but he struggled to control his desire to see her after talking to Tiana.
âThereâs a man in the car, and Charles asked me to pass this on to you,â Tiana said.
Dolores thought she misheard, âThereâs a man in the car?â
Tiana responded by stating, âYes, and Charles said it would be useful to you.â
A guess came to Doloresâ mind, âTake me there.â
Tiana replied, âSure,â and then led Dolores to the car on the side of the road. Tom got out of the car when he saw Tiana and Dolores approaching the car.
âShow her,â Tiana said to Tom.
Tom opened the car door in the back seat. John was sitting in the back seat unconscious in his patient attire.
Charles anesthetized John after picking him up. Therefore, John was unconscious.
Dolores recognized John as soon as she saw his face. Johnâs face was not covered in the news. Dolores was trembling with rage as the thought that John might have raped Theresa popped into her head. Dolores wanted so badly to slap John, but she knew it wasnât a good time to get upset.
Matthew had been looking for John, and now John was captured by Charles? Dolores wanted to ask Charles how he had captured John. So she asked, âWhere is Charles?â
âCharles told me you might not want to see him, so I better stop coming to see you,â Tiana said.
Charles asked Tiana to tell him.
Dolores thought Charles had finally figured it out. It was for the best. Dolores hoped Charles would treat Tiana better, âTell him I appreciate it.â
Tiana said, âYouâre welcome. Charles said he did all this willingly.â
Dolores did not pursue the matter further. She pretended she didnât understand what Tiana meant, âPlease give me some space. I need to be alone with him.â
Dolores couldnât bring John to her house. She had to let Matthew know so he could make the necessary arrangements.
âSure,â Tiana said.
Matthew came down from the second floor of the villa and asked Coral when he didnât see Dolores, âWhereâs Dolores?â
âSomeone rang the doorbell a moment ago. Wasnât she at the door?â asked Coral.
Dolores came in as Matthew was about to leave and looked for her.
âCharles sent a person here,â Dolores immediately told Matthew, âHeâs right outside.â
Matthew marched up the driveway, âStay in the house. Iâll take care of it.â Dolores nodded.
Tom led Matthew to the car and Matthew saw the unconscious John.
Matthew called Boyce and asked him to take John.
Armand had been looking for Johnâs whereabouts with Boyce these days. He wanted to catch the person who raped Theresa. Armand immediately followed Boyce to Matthewâs villa when he learned that Matthew had captured John.
Boyce tied John up and put him in a large sack in case John woke up and tried to escape. They then put John in the trunk of the car. If Boyce had not stopped Armand, he would have killed John by now. Armand sat in the car with a sulky face. He was waiting for the car to go somewhere quiet so he could kill John.
Matthew asked Tom to send a message to Charles, âI appreciate your help.â
Matthew had to be grateful to Charles this time for sending John to him no matter how much he disliked Charles.
Tom replied, âIâll send your message to Mr. White,â then opened the door and invited Tiana into the car, âLetâs go.â Tiana got into the car and drove off with Tom.
Dolores put on her everyday clothes and left the villa. She knew Tiana was gone when she saw Tomâs car drive away.
âDo you want to go with me?â Matthew asked Dolores when he saw her changed into her everyday clothes.
âYes, I want to know what he did to Theresa,â Dolores sounded cold.
Matthew didnât persuade Dolores. He walked her anyway, âIâll drive.â
John was in Boyce and Armandâs car. They were ahead of Matthewâs car and Matthew was following behind them.
Boyce chose the location to keep John. He did not choose a location in the suburbs, but kept John at the station.
Boyce was an assistant manager, and he was more powerful than before.
He didnât have to expend as much effort to do things his way.
Besides, he had henchmen. He didnât have to worry about gossip.
Boyce wasnât sure how strong the anesthesia was. John didnât wake up even after being thrown to the floor. So, Boyce grabbed a bunch of water and poured it on John.
John was hurt, and he was confused at waking up in such a violent manner. He did not know what had happened.
John looked around and was curious if he had made it to White City yet. Declan told him that he was going to hide John in a place called White City to prevent Matthew from discovering him. However, when John opened his eyes, he saw three men standing in front of him.
Johnâs eyes widened, âHow come Iâm here? I thought I was going to White City.
âYou⦠Youâ¦â John was terrified.
Before John realized what had happened, Armand kicked him in the stomach. John lay on the ground and covered his stomach. It was as painful as if his intestines had been ruptured.
Armandâs eyes were red. He grabbed Johnâs neck and questioned him, âWhat did you do to Theresa?â
John hunched his body as Armand looked at him like a beast, âI donât know what youâre talking about.â
John was wide awake and knew exactly who Armand was talking about, but he didnât dare admit it. It was obvious that they were going to beat him to death if he admitted that he knew Theresa. They would probably cripple him even if they didnât kill him.
Armand scoffed, âDonât you know?â
The next second, Armand punched John in the face. John spat blood out of his mouth and asked in surprised and terrified tones, âHow did you find me?â
Armand was in no mood to answer any of Johnâs questions. He just wanted to know what John had done to Theresa. He smiled cruelly, âCut the crap. Answer me, what did you do to Theresa?â.
Boyce put Dolores in another room. She could see everything going on in another room through the monitors in front of her.
Matthew and Boyce became spectators.
âI didnât do anything,â John decided not to confess. Armand was furious. John was naked, and Theresaâs clothes were torn off.
Now John wanted to make him believe he hadnât done anything to Theresa?
âIt doesnât matter anymore. Now that youâre here, youâre not getting out of this room alive, regardless of what youâve done,â Armand was so furious that he calmed down. He glanced at John. Then Armand unbuttoned his coat, took it off and threw it on the floor.
John was frightened. He kept backing away, âDonâtâ¦donât come near me!â.
Armand sneered, âYou useless bastard. Donât you dare admit what youâve done? You think I canât do anything as long as you deny the truth? If I donât kill you today, I wonât be called Armand. Iâll change my name to Armand the wimp.â
John glanced at Matthew and Boyce in fear, âStop him, heâll break the law if he kills me!â
