Matthew didn’t understand what she meant. why had she suddenly come out with this kind of question?

He lowered his head and gave her a look, “Huh?”.

Dolores raised her head and gave him a look. His face was right in front of hers, even their breaths intertwined with each other. He looked like he didn’t shave, and green stubble was sprouting on his chin. Dolores reached out and touched his chin. It didn’t feel prickly, it just didn’t feel as smooth as his skin.

“Should I go change my last name?” In fact, she didn’t want to change it.

Dolores had put all of Matthew’s words into her heart. Whether it was Jeffery or Jolene, or even Stanley, she didn’t want to think about them.

She just wanted to live quietly with Matthew.

She snuggled into his arms and pressed her face against his chest, listening to the strong beating of his heart.

“You will always be you. No matter what your last name is.” Matthew knew that, if she really wanted to change it, she would have done it sooner, and not waited until now.

She was Jolene and Stanley’s daughter, as well as the continuation of their lives. Even if she changed her last name, it wouldn’t change the blood that ran through her body.

Matthew wrapped his arms tightly around her tender body. He didn’t want Dolores to stay in the past and worry about those messy things.

Dolores understood what he meant. It was true. She would always be herself, and her last name didn’t matter. After hearing what he said, she stopped pondering this matter and felt suddenly enlightened.

His beautiful, slender arm went around her waist, “I felt incredibly sad when I left you. During that time, I missed you and felt guilty towards you. But I don’t want there to be this kind of element in our relationship. Therefore, I won’t feel guilty towards you in the future. I just want to love you in a simple way.”

Just live together, free of any grudges.

Matthew lowered his head and kissed her forehead. However, his lips didn’t pull away from her forehead. Instead, he brushed his lips against her forehead affectionately, responding to her in a low “um.”

“Where would you like it?” his voice was so low as to be a bit confusing.

However, Dolores could still hear clearly, “Why do you ask that?”

“After you give birth, I’m thinking we should go on a honeymoon.” He looked at her steadily and earnestly. His deep gaze sparkled with lights, and he whispered his tender voice next to her ears, “I really want to see you in a wedding dress. You will definitely look great in it.”

She grabbed his shirt collar and said resentfully, “You didn’t even go with me to get the marriage certificate. We didn’t even take pictures or take vows together.”

They had a marriage certificate. Matthew called some people to help him process it, and Abbott was the one who took Dolores to take it. It was very informal, however, as their photos were not on the marriage certificate.

Matthew was speechless.

Not that he could foresee the future. If he had known, he would certainly have held a grandiose wedding to marry her.

Just as he wanted to say he would make it up to her later, Dolores’ phone rang, cutting him off.

As Dolores reached out for her purse, Matthew grabbed her hand, “Come with me today. You can’t do anything.”

Dolores was amused by his childishness. She thought to herself, ‘Why is this man acting like a child now?’

So childish that she couldn’t bear to turn him down.

Her phone rang until it stopped ringing. Dolores laughed and said, ‘Are you satisfied now?’

The haughty man did not speak. He pulled the silky, thin blanket, wrapping their bodies. Then, he lifted Dolores’ skirt from underneath. Dolores bit her lips, her body was slightly tense and she gasped lightly, “It’s still daylight.”

“Yes.”

He knew it was still daylight, but he really missed her. He was just a mortal, a normal person with a normal body.

He grabbed Dolores’ hand and put it on the metal buckle of his belt, “Help me take it off.”

Dolores’ face burned with heat and her breathing became ragged. She removed the belt buckle with little skill. With a click, it seemed all the heat had peaked at the sound.

They couldn’t contain themselves. While the two had been kissing passionately, Dolores’ phone rang again. The two paused for a moment, but chose to ignore it.

This time, however, the phone continued to ring. Unlike the previous time, it didn’t stop when no one answered. It kept ringing as if it would not stop until someone answered the call.

The untimely ringing of the phone instantly ruined the ambiguous atmosphere. Matthew lifted the blanket, reached into his bag and pulled out the phone, trying to turn it off. Dolores saw Theresa’s name on the phone screen, so she picked up her phone, “It must be something urgent since she called like that.”

“You can call her back later.” Matthew reached out, trying to snatch the phone from her.

Dolores avoided him, “Don’t be like that.”

She answered the call and raised the phone to her ears, “Theresa?”

However, Theresa’s voice did not appear on the other end of the phone.

Instead, it was a man’s laughter.

Dolores became flustered and quickly called back, “Theresa, is that you?”

“Do you want to see her?” The man said. Dolores felt as if she had heard the voice before, but couldn’t remember where.

She frowned and asked, “Who are you, why do you have her phone?”

“She’s a valued guest in my house, that’s why her phone is with me.”

Dolores realized something was wrong and glanced at Matthew. From what she said, Matthew also knew something must have happened. He took the phone from her and coldly asked, “Who are you?”.

Hearing that it was other people, the man on the other end paused for a moment and then laughed, “Hello, Mr. Nelson, long time no see, are you interested in meeting?”

“What do you want?”

“I’m not going to do anything. I just need an explanation from you. Have I ever offended you? I don’t care what kind of grudge you and Jeffery have, but you used me and deceived me, I was almost involved in that incident. Don’t you think you should give me an explanation?”

“This is between you and me. If you need an explanation, just deal with me.

Isn’t it a bit over the top to grab someone unrelated?”

“I’d like to sit down and have a quiet talk with Mr. Nelson. But, unfortunately, you’re too busy. How about this, I’ll wait for you at the usual place, and we can talk there? Ah, yes, this woman I’ve caught, is she important to you? If she’s not important, I think she looks rather pretty…”

Matthew growled angrily, “Declan!”

Declan laughed, “Fine. Then let’s meet at the usual place. I’ll be waiting for you.” After saying this, he hung up the phone.

Dolores gave Matthew a nervous look, “Who is Declan, why did he get Theresa?”

Matthew told her briefly that it was related to Victoria’s car accident. Dolores instantly understood and said, “Then we need to get back now.” Matthew replied with a brief “um”.

Declan was someone with no boundaries, if he was really late, you don’t know what he would do to Theresa. Not wanting Dolores to worry, Matthew kept his phone in his suit pocket in case Declan called back later.

He put on his belt, buckled the buckle and said, “You go pack.

I’ll go tell Armand.”

Dolores was worried, “Will he be all right?”

“For the moment, he’ll be fine.” Matthew reached out and fixed her shirt collar, smoothing out the creases. “Don’t worry too much.”

Dolores answered him with an “um,” but deep in her heart she couldn’t help but worry.

“But why would I want to catch Theresa?” she asked.

Armand sat in the center of the room, scrolling through his phone. When he noticed someone enter, he lifted his head and saw it was Matthew. He laughed derisively, “Reunion after a brief goodbye must be as sweet as a honeymoon, have you had enough yet?”
