A rather short chapter, with a pretty opened ending and a plot twist at the end. Looks like someone's still alive ð«£

I woke up with a dull ache in my head, and a feeling of emptiness in my chest. I looked around at my surroundings, all which seemed too familiar to me by now.
[Mission Complete, the rewards have been transferred.]
I tried to move, but my body felt heavier than usual. I turned my gaze to the side, seeing Elise half plopped on my body, still asleep.
[Open rewards now? Yes/No]
Yes.
Memories began flooding back into my mind, as I felt a sense of exhaustion take over me.
...
I was a fearless demon lord, a superior and powerful being. I had taken in an apprentice after saving her from a cruel fate, her name was Lilian.
Unlike most demon lords, I got along well with the humans. Eventually, I fell in love with one. She was beautiful, graceful, I couldn't help but fall for her over and over. Her name was Elise.
Yet, all good things never lasted so long. Elise was a human cursed to die at the age of 18. Every time she did, I figured a way to reverse time to return to her and fall all over again.
I had broken the world's rules, and a darkness was beginning to manifest every time I failed to save her. Lilian remained by my side, witnessing all my failed attempts.
By the 43rd attempt, everything had already seemed bleak. And the darkness... was gathering at an alarming rate.
I could no longer ignore the darkness magic that was bringing danger to the world. I had to lure it elsewhere. I left my work to my trusty apprentice, deciding to sacrifice my memories in order to enter a different world, along with the magic.
Somehow, the magic managed to seep out, leaving a small darkness in that world.
Time passed by slower in the new world I entered, I had set for Lilian to bring me back to the other world by the time I was 18, but due to the darkness that had stayed in the other world, the process had been delayed.
By the time I had arrived back with the system, the world had already gone through the great doom a total of three times. Each time, more and more 'users' had been summoned into the world.
After I had arrived... we managed to subdue the doom, preventing the cycle from repeating. That means... Elise will be able to survive now?
But then... I recalled our battle. Lilian, she's gone now... So the system she managed must be destroyed too, right?
[System Rebooting: Paused until further notice.]
Paused? Why is it paused?
I furrowed my brows before my eyes widened.
She's alive.

Where am I?
The surrounding infrastructure looks nothing like that of the kingdom... the roads are filled with passing cars and vehicles.
Foreign words were written on the signs of the shops. I was currently standing in the middle of a whole new world...
I reach my hand to place it over my ears, only to find the pointy edge of it gone. Almost as if I were...human.
The sky was dark, droplets began falling from the sky. I stared into the puddle on the ground, my blood going cold.
I've become human... and the world I'm in, must be Earth?
