"Knight, seize them!"
The king declared.
I grab my prop sword in hand.
"You shall not enter this kingdom!"
As I point it towards the princess, my eyes burned with fury.
"How dare you oppose me?!"
The princess charged towards me with a sword in hand.
I get into my stance and parry her attack.
"Futile!"
I knock her sword away.
"Impossible...!"
I smirk.
"Princess, looks like you're coming with me."
"And cut!"
The director announces and I drop the prop sword onto the ground.
We've finally finished rehearsing the first part...
"N/N, well done."
"You too. It's much better now."
As the actors take a break before the rehearsal for the next scene, I take my time, downing a bottle of water.
Phew. This is all hard work.
After this part, the script would change.
"All actors, entering the next scene!"
"Got it!"
I hold my prop sword in my hand.
The scene changes to the dungeon of the castle.
"Knight... you will pay for this...!"
I scoff.
"Oh? And what will you do?"
I lift the princess' chin.
"Chained to a cell and stripped of nobility. There's nothing you can do."
Knight A enters.
"Commander, we have done the preparations. It's time to meet the commoner."
"Commoner? Wait...! Don't hurt her-!"
"Shut up, princess. I'm not going to touch her."
I leave the scene. Now in the throne room, I kneel before the king.
"My knight, you have done well. There will be a change in plans. We must kill that commoner."
"What? But your highness, she's not even an enemy of our kingdom..."
"Do I sense defiance?"
I avert my gaze.
"No, your highness..."
...
"Commoner."
"..."
"Commoner. Listen up. The king plans on killing you."
"... And what do you achieve by telling me this?"
"I... am against killing innocent people."
The commoner finally looks up at me.
"Listen up. I have a plan to help you escape."
"Well, what is it?"
"For now... we wait. On the execution date, I will bring in two decoys, and distract the other knights for you to escape."

"Knight. You're here."
I smile.
"Indeed I am."
"It's a wonder.. to think the person who captured us would become a friend..."
"A friend..."
"Is something wrong?"
"No, commoner, princess. It's nothing. Are you two ready to escape?"
They nod.
I free them from their chains.
"Halt! What are you doing?!"
Knight A barges in.
"...?!"
"I knew you'd betray me, knight. Off with their heads!"
"My king...?!"
I turn to the two, gripping my sword.
"Hurry, run...!"
They began running as I fought off the knights.
"Knight...!"
"Go! Just go!"
Blades clashed, people fell.
And alone there, stood a knight stained in blood.
More knights came, more knights fell.
Standing atop all the bodies of what used to be her comrades, was the knight.
"Y-you.. traitor..!"
"My king... I deeply apologise... but I can't say I'm sorry for what I've done."
I raise my blood-stained blade.
"Farewell."
...
"Knight! Where are you?"
I look up. A voice.
With the amount of blood all over my body, it's hard to tell who it belonged to.
"Commoner...? Princess...?"
"Knight...!"
My body would collapse from exhaustion, and the two caught me in their arms.
"And we're finished! Well done everybody. We're ready for the day now!"
"Phew."
I get off the two.
"This paint is gonna be a pain to wash off..."
"So, Y/N. Did you like the script we came up with?"
"I'm quite satisfied with it. There isn't a kiss scene, but I'm sure it's good enough for people to be invested in it."
B/N folds his arms, he nodding as he was deep in thought.
"I'd say it was good. After all that, we just need to wait for those points to come in."
"Yep. Then we can finally do something other than work..."
B/N pats me on the back.
"Too bad for you. You have a lead role."
"It isn't that terrible..."
"Really...?"
"Okay yeah it sucks. But at least I get to act with Elise and Alisa..."

"Ah, Blair..."
"That's right. Don't tell me you forgot about me after 'killing' me off?"
"Haha... no way. You played your part quite well. It does suit you after all... the merciless king and the merciless tyrant, huh? Both power-obsessed..."

I leave with them, as Blair crosses her arms from behind.

She bonks him on the head.
"Leo... she's bullying me..."
"Don't worry, B/N. I'll protect you."
