I gasp. It was... a dream? It felt so real though... What was that?
I sigh. It feels like some foreshadowing... In the dream... I successfully saved her... and then... I returned to my original world...?
If it does happen one day... would I stay? Or would I go? I've already fallen for her... I don't think I could leave just like that...
Ugh... this is troublesome... come to think of it... I wonder if brother would stay...
"I've come... to get the crown prince..."

I make my presence known.
"The king wants Leonas and I to get engaged..."
Eh? It's happening? I thought I prevented that... wasn't that event supposed to happen much earlier?
"Lady Elise, they say it's been far too delayed. They're rushing things now..."
So... the plot is still coming true...?
Elise sits down in her chair and sighs.
"So.. What now?"
"We can only play that part... When I inherit the crown, I can break off the engagement."
"But how long will that take? You're still in the academy, you have to graduate before that..."
"We need to be patient, Lady Elise."
My heart stings at the thought of Elise getting engaged to someone. Surely there must be another way...
"There is an alternative method though..."
"And what is it?"
Elise asks, a little too quickly.
"I will withdraw my rights to inherit the throne."
"What?!"
How can that be? He just managed to gain rights to inherit the throne, and now he's throwing it away?
"Leonas, you do realise what you're suggesting, right?"
"Yes. However, I have my own reasons for wanting to do so as well..."
Leonas averts his gaze, deep in thought.
Could it be my brother?
"Until then, let's play pretend. I will withdraw my rights to the throne after I've made sure that the preparations are done."
Leonas gets up from his seat and walks out the office. Elise pinches her nose bridge, frustrated and annoyed.
"Elise... are you alright?"
She looks at me, no longer furious, but more lost and sad, like an abandoned puppy.
"N/N... I don't want to do this... the engagement and all..."
"Prince Leonas will find a way... I'm sure of it..."
I clasp her hands in mine.
"And if need be, I'll run away with you. Together."
Her eyes widen, not expecting that answer.
"Then I'll no longer be a noble, I can't get you whatever you want... and I won't be able to protect you..."
Silly Elise... I'm the one protecting her...
"That doesn't matter to me. Wealth, power... it's fine."
She smiles gently at me.
"This really reminds me of that story..."
I chuckle.
"Perhaps, but we won't meet the same ending. I'm sure of it."
Elise suddenly wraps her arms around me, pulling me into her embrace as she sits me on her lap.
"?!"
"N/N... thank you..."
Is she really a villainess? She's more like a victim... How could this sweet girl ever hurt anyone intentionally?
I return the hug, placing my chin on her head.
"You're the only one who sees me like this..."
Huh?
"N/N... you're mine."

I stare at her peaceful face, deep in thought.
I've observed her for a while. The little habits she has that make her absolutely beautiful...

We stayed hugging for a while. It was peaceful and quiet, and I really didn't mind staying that way for a longer time.
"Let's go to the market. We haven't been there in a while since school started."
"Sure."
We headed off to the kingdom market on her carriage. Come to think of it, does this count as a date?
My gaze shifts over to Elise.
I admire her side profile. How is she so beautiful?
Maybe I'd be cupping that perfect face in my hands, peppering it with kisses until it was flushed red-
Hold on!! What am I thinking?! I'll return to my original world anyway...
"N/N, we're here."
Elise got off the carriage first. I was about to step out as well, but she stopped me. She held out her hand for me to take. My, what a gentlewoman...
I take her hand and get off the carriage.
"Where do you want to go first, Elise?"
"Hmm... Let's go shopping around first. We can go for lunch after."
We walked around the shops for a while. It was just as lively as I remembered. Majority of the people here were commoners, but there was an occasional noble passing through.
*crackle* *crackle*
Huh? Is that a storm?
It started raining. Just our luck...
We ran over to the nearest shelter.
"Seriously, why did this have to happen now?!"
We arrive at an inn, soaked wet.
"Elise, are you alri-"
Her hair was soaked, her clothes wet and messy. She had an annoyed expression on her face, but it only served to make her more attractive.
The white top she had on was almost see-through... I can feel a nosebleed coming...
"N/N? What is it?"
She turns to me. I immediately look away.
Oh god...
"Let's book a room here. We might not be able to get back because of the storm..."
And that's exactly what we did. So here I am, standing inside the bathroom with a towel wrapped around myself while Elise sat in the bathtub behind me...
How did it come to this? Well...
"N/N, you're going to catch a cold if you stay wet. Let's bathe together."
And that's what happened.
I dropped my towel to the ground, slightly embarrassed... even if this wasn't my real body, I'd practically gotten used to it... and it's still embarrassing being seen like this..
The bathtub is a little cramped for two people to sit in... if I get in there... it'll be dangerous...
"N/N, what are you waiting for?"
I slowly put on of my legs in followed by the other. And I slip.
"Wah-?!"
"Careful."
Elise catches me... in her arms... with her *ahem* assets *ahem* a little too close to my face.
I end up sitting between her legs...
