Today marks the first day of the magic academy. Also where the main plot of the novel starts. The novel never did mention how the magic academy looked like... but standing in front of it now, I'm utterly shook.
Why does it look like a palace? I mean.. it is a prestigious academy... I suppose it's funded by royals too.. knowing that, the level of the students here should far surpass mine... I think?
Back in the novel, the crown prince was a top scholar, always ranked first while the heroine was just a point behind him. The villainess was fourth place though... A mysterious named individual actually managed to score higher than the villainess...
Although this individual's name wasn't mentioned in the novel, I have a feeling that he or she will play a huge part in the story...
Elise and I head to the front of the school, apparently that's where your magic is appraised and you're assigned a class. As for Batman, he's just chilling my backpack... When the time comes for us to summon our familiars, I suppose he'll do.
We head towards the crowd of students and meet with the heroine. She, of course, attracted plenty of attention, along with Elise... I mean, I guess they're pretty, and Elise is a well-known noble, so it does make sense... but even with the two characters from the main cast, no one can beat the crown prince huh...
As we speak, the crown prince is surrounded by fans, both girls and boys. He keeps his cold and stoic expression on, only gaining the fan's admiration even more. He glances at our group, and starts walking over to us...
The moment he does, the heroine steps in front of me... for some reason... is she already trying to get the crown prince's attention?
"Ah, Miss L/N... we haven't met for quite some time I believe."
He says, pushing past Alisa and Elise... did he just ignore two of the main cast...?
"Uh, yes, your highness... it's nice meeting you again..."
This time I can sense way too many eyes on me... isn't this supposed to happen to the heroine anyway...?
"Your highness... Don't you think it's rude to just ignore the two of us...?"
Ah, I see the heroine's eye twitching. She's mad. Is she mad at me for stealing her event? I hope not...
"Ah, Miss Lena and Lady Alphonse... I didn't see you there, fancy meeting you two here..."
I suddenly feel a chill. Is it my imagination? I see sparks between the three of the main cast... the other students seemed to sense it as well as they backed away...
"Uhm... If we could all just calm down for a moment..."
A female student steps in. I don't recognise her, but she does seem to radiate lead-cast energy... for some reason though, she glares at me... have I done something to her...? I don't believe I've even met her...
In any case though, the three separate and continue on. Still, I feel an ominous aura surrounding that female student... I wonder what it is.
"Your highness, let's go and get our classes assigned to us."
The female student chimes in. Does she know the crown prince? I kinda pity her... the two walk off leaving me with the heroine and the villainess.
"Well then... shall we get going too...?"
I suggest. We go to have our magic measured by some item. The students disperse as well, after the lead cast had left.
[Host, the female student from earlier is a system user. Beware.]
A system user...? Is she reincarnated as well? That explains me not knowing her I suppose...

Dark magic? That actually exists here? Well, if light magic exists it wouldn't be that surprising... How does she even obtain it...? Also, deemed me as an enemy? That sounds dangerous...
Elise, Alisa and I have our magic measured by some device. Naturally, both Elise and Alisa get into the best class, class 1-A. As for me... I just need to use a little of my system magic...
[Tinkering with magic item in progress. Host, decide the amount of magic you wish to transfer into magic item from the system. The amount will not affect the host, it will only decide the class in which the host will get into.]
Well... I'm not sure how much 1% of the magic would be... I just need to get into the same class as the villainess, so...
System, transfer 100% of magic into the item. Just to play safe...
[100% magic transferring.]
The item starts glowing a little too brightly... is this supposed to happen? It looks like it's gonna explode...
"BOOM."
A figure tackles me to the side. I barely escape the explosion... was that supposed to happen though?
The light fades, and I see the villainess holding me in her arms... my face a little too close to her... *ahem* chest *ahem*.
"What was that?" Some mage enters the hall.
I think that's the principal... I glance back at the item. It's broken. Well... maybe 100% was a little too much... just a little, really.
The explosion must've caused a huge commotion... I could hear the other students murmuring among themselves. I even hear a 'tsk!' from one of the students... surprise surprise, it's the female student from earlier.
"Miss L/N has overloaded the magic item... she will be placed in class 1-A."
Well... At least I accomplished my goal.

"Tsk." That girl... she's Lady Alphonse's servant, yet she's close with the crown prince already... she even has god-knows-how-much magic... I did say she was going to be my enemy, but she exploded the device?
If I even so much as cross her... She could kill me in less then a few seconds... this is bad...
On the other hand... if I could just get the crown prince to exile her... wait, but it would be bad if she killed the crown prince...
How did she even get so much power? As far as I know, the servant of the Alphonse family doesn't even have a magic aptitude... unless... she's a reincarnate as well?
Normally, people who reincarnate would be born into a body with a fixed magic aptitude, but if one is born into a body without a magic aptitude...
Would she be able to have her own?
It's best for me not to cross her for now... At least until I gain full control of dark magic...

Elise, Alisa and I head to class 1-A.
"Say, Y/N, how did you explode the magic device...?"
That's a question I ask myself too.. the system sure is overpowered...
"N/N is my personal servant, it's only natural that she's this powerful."
I'm flattered... but I don't think that's how it works...
"Y/N, who do you think you'll sit next to in class?"
Seating arrangement? I haven't thought about it actually... in the original novel, the villainess and the heroine sat together... while the crown prince was assigned to a random student... I wonder who I'll sit next to...
"I just hope to sit next to someone I know..."
Even in this world, I'm still socially awkward...

As expected, the seating arrangement is similar to the novel's... and I'm seated to someone called... Blair Engelene..? Who's that anyway?
I walk towards my assigned seat and the person who took a seat next to me...
