Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Terrifying EQ

As Li Niannian was Li Sisi’s biological sister, the three of them weren’t acting like strangers.

Through their casual conversation, Chu Tian learned more about Li Sisi and Li Niannian.

It can be said that Li Sisi was the person who made it possible for Li Niannian to have her academics degree.

Chu Tian’s parents suddenly died in an accident whereas Li Sisi and Li Niannian’s parents were there the entire time. Because of their health problem, their family were unable to provide for two children to go to school. Because of that, Li Sisi gave up on her studies and started working.

Later on, their parents died in succession. At that time, Li Niannian also thought about giving up on her studies to start working. But, she was stopped by Li Sisi.

Beginning from highschool, all of Li Niannian’s tuition and daily living expenses were paid for by her older sister Li Sisi.

From that, Li Sisi was undoubtedly a great older sister.

But, even though the sisters were living in the same city, they were not living together. Li Sisi had her own place and a car. Li Niannian was renting a place elsewhere. It was only when Li Niannian was on break that she would stay in Li Sisi’s place for a day or two.

11:30AM!

Inside Chu Tian’s rental apartment. Chu Tian handed his ID card to Li Sisi. With a smile, he said, “Big sis Sisi, do you have to be in such a rush? You sure you don’t want to eat lunch together?”

“Do I look like I have time to eat?” Li Sisi sighed as she placed Chu Tian’s ID into her bag, “Sigh, I’m already packed with work dealing with the club. And now, you want to open a milk tea shop too.”

“I must hurry up and go discuss purchasing the restaurant. Once I’m done, I’d need to find some people to renovate the place a bit too. Niannian doesn’t have this kind of connection. So, all of this will be my job.”

Chu Tian smiled and nodded his head, “That’s what happens when you’re such a great big sister. Love you.”

“That’s all?” Li Sisi said, “You’re not even going to give me a hug?”

“Of course I will. How could I not? Isn’t it just a hug? I can give you as much hug as you want. Come.”

As Chu Tian spoke, he gave Li Sisi a hug.

After hugging, Li Sisi said, “Well, that’s enough. I bet it’s about time for your darling to come find you. I’ll be going now. Text me if you made any progress.”

“Sure thing. Take care of yourself. You don’t have to rush to get things done.”

After seeing Li Sisi down the apartment, Chu Tian closed his door.

He took off his clothes and put on some shorts. He was planning to turn on his computer to see if there’s any update with Wang Xiaofeng when his phone suddenly started ringing.

It was a call from Bai Xiaochun.

Chu Tian accepted the call, “Hello? Lil Bai?”

“I’m not your Lil Bai. I’m your deskmate.”

Hearing Yang Rong’s voice coming from the phone, Chu Tian smiled, “Hey deskmate. What’s up?”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“You ate yet?” asked Yang Rong.

“Nope,” replied Chu Tian, “It’s still quite early.”

“Perfect. Let’s eat together,” said Yang Rong, “Your Lil Bai and I are at the supermarket. We’ll buy some groceries and prepare them at your place.”

“Sounds good to me,” said Chu Tian, “I’m quite looking forward to Lil Bai’s cooking.”

“Only her cooking? Not her?”

“Of course, her too,” laughed Chu Tian, “How could I not look forward to seeing her?”

“Hey, Chu Tian,” Bai Xiaochun’s voice sounded from the phone, “What do you want to eat?”

“Anything’s fine,” said Chu Tian, “I like anything prepared by my Lil Bai.”

“Tsk, smooth talker,” Bai Xiaochun laughed, “I’ll just purchase whatever then. We’ll be there later.”

“Sure thing. Tell me when you’re here so that I can go downstairs to help carry the groceries.”

“Okay. See you later then.”

“Later.”

After hanging up the phone, Chu Tian looked to his phone and licked his lips.

Dang!

Having such a high EQ is truly terrifying!

When Li Sisi was leaving, she mentioned that Bai Xiaochun will be coming to find him. At that time, Chu Tian didn’t take her words seriously at all.

After all, Bai Xiaochun had club activities at noon. Furthermore, he didn’t make any plans with her.

Yet, right after Li Sisi left, Bai Xiaochun called him saying that she’ll be coming.

Those eyes of hers, they were simply too sharp!

She had simply seen through Bai Xiaochun completely!

Thinking of this, Chu Tian sent a text message to Li Sisi.

Chu Tian: “Big sis Sisi, are you a prophet? Lil Bai is really coming over.”

Soon, Li Sisi replied.

Li Sisi: “LOL! Who did you think your big sister is? With how innocent your darling is, your big sister I saw through her completely with a single glance. I am able to guess what she wanted to do when she wanted to do them with certain accuracy.”

Chu Tian: “Amazing!”

Li Sisi: “You flatter me!”

Roughly twenty minutes later.

Chu Tian had only just finished cleaning his apartment when a knocking sound was heard.

Chu Tian opened his door and saw Bai Xiaochun and Yang Rong standing outside with bags of groceries. Chu Tian smiled and took the grocery bags from them, “Didn’t I say to call me so that I can go down to help with the groceries? Why did the two of you carry them upstairs instead?”

“We didn’t need the help; they’re not heavy,” Bai Xiaochun smiled with a reddened face, “Besides, it’ll be a tiring for you to run down and back up.”

“It’s only you who didn’t think the grocery bags were heavy, okay?” Yang Rong complained, “I’m the one carrying all the heavy items, okay?”

Seeing Yang Rong’s resentment-filled look, Chu Tian laughed, “Come on in and cool yourselves. Look, you’re both all sweaty.”
