I should call 911!
Bai Qingqing then reached into her pants pocket but came up empty. She then realized that she was wearing clothing made of animal skin. She also remembered that her phone had run out of battery long ago and she couldnât get a signal before that.
What should I do? What should I do? Somebody, please help me?
Bai Qingqing gripped her thumb and squeezed it hard. She knew that she had to tie her thumb, but if the blood vessels in her thumb became damaged and she had to amputate it, she would rather let the venom spread to the rest of her body.
As she thought of this, the paralyzed area on her thumb began to spread.
Bai Qingqing was so anxious that she was about to cry. Then, a light bulb suddenly went off in her head. Right, I can use a scale from a snakeâs tail to neutralize the venom!

Bai Qingqing looked down to find a snake and was instantly faced with another problem.
There were snakes all over the floor. Which one bit me?
As Bai Qingqing looked at the baby snakes, they began to crawl on her body.
Donât come near me. Help!
Bai Qingqing wanted to scream, but there seemed to be invisible cotton flowers stuck in her throat, and she couldnât make a sound no matter how hard she tried. She wanted to run, but her body seemed to be blocked by a strange gust of wind. It was as if sheâd been molded into the air. She couldnât move and could only watch as the baby snakes crawled up her bodyâ¦
âQingqing, Qingqing, Qingqingâ¦â
Bai Qingqing kept hearing a young male voice calling out her name. She thought for a while before recognizing it as Parkerâs voice.
She still had a lump in her throat as she blearily opened her eyes and saw a pair of golden eyes staring at her.
Parker asked softly, âDid you have a bad dream?â
âMm.â Bai Qingqing heaved a sigh of relief. Her chest felt unbearably tight. She still felt itchy all over, as if something was crawling on her body. She wasnât sure if it was just in her head.
As she reached out to scratch her body, her hand unexpectedly landed on something thin and meaty. Her eyes instantly widened.
Bai Qingqing picked up the thing in her hands with a stunned look on her face.
âSsss~â The baby snake looked at Bai Qingqing and produced a hissing sound unique to his kind. He then wrapped his tail around his motherâs warm hand.
Ooo~ Mum feels so warm and comfortable! The baby snake rejoiced in his heart.
âAh!â
Bai Qingqing instinctively threw the snake away and instantly sat up in the nest. She then stood up and jumped about as if she was tap dancing. She screamed, âAaaah!â
There were many snakes on Bai Qingqingâs body and she shook them off into the nest easily. The snakes all over the nest were so frightened that they scurried about wildly and avoided Bai Qingqingâs feet.
Curtis immediately relaxed his body and reached out his snake tail to pull Bai Qingqing into his arms. Winston rushed into the house and looked around nervously.
âThere are snakes in my nest!â Bai Qingqing pointed at Parkerâs nest and screamed. She only began to dazedly snap out of her thoughts after she looked down at her hands and saw that her thumb was intact.
It was all just a dreamâ¦
Thank goodness it was a dream. I was scared to death.
Parker shook the blanket, then vigorously walked towards Curtis and covered Bai Qingqing with animal skin.
âWhatâs wrong?â Winston asked in confusion. He hadnât noticed the smell of strangers.
Parker replied, âItâs nothing. Qingqing just got frightened by the baby snakes.â
Bai Qingqing felt embarrassed after hearing Parkerâs words. How absurd was it that she got frightened by her own children?
âI had a nightmare,â Bai Qingqing explained weakly and immediately changed the subject. âHow did they end up sleeping with me?â
âThey probably got cold. Itâs warm in our nest,â Parker said apologetically. âI wonât let them into our nest again.â
Bai Qingqing hesitated and didnât respond. She breathed heavily and steadied her heartbeat.
