EYYYY Bonus chapter I guess! POV of Zach-ah. No, Pearson. :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He opened his eyes. He was... sleeping? Had that all been a dream? Lorena? The Garrulas? Raymond? He felt a sense of unprecedented loss at this thought. But then he remembered. Lorena left. She had left him.
Soon enough, his memories came flooding back to him.
Ah. I remember now. It seems that it was a mistake.
Allow him to explain. The Blacks were a very powerful family. They mainly served as librarians. As to why a family of librarians would be so powerful? Well, the books they were keeping were different than normal ones. They were books that held all the information. A book about a family in the Black Library had all of their dirty deeds written in it and all possible facts to find out about them.
Out of fear, all families unanimously agreed to not mess with the Blacks. Some who felt gutsy and challenged the Blacks all ended horribly. This only served to further cement the fact that no one should mess with the Blacks.
But behind this well-kept secret was an even bigger one. Only a handful of people knew of this secret. Such people were the members of the Black family with an extremely high standing and the head. Oh, and the people who had the secret.
You see, the secret was a power. Though it would skip a few generations sometimes, children of the Black family could be born with the power to insert themselves into novels or books. Don't underestimate this power, it is extremely handy. If one were to read a newspaper article, they would be able to transport themselves to the body one someone experiencing the event the newspaper was talking about.
This was the secret to their seemingly limitless knowledge. This was how they had accurate records. It was because they personally experienced these events.
Pearson Black was the successor of the Black family. He had jet black hair, exotic golden eyes, and tan skin. He was tall and not to mention muscular. He was basically every woman's dream man. He had status, he was handsome, and he had solid backing. If one were to catch this man, their future would be secured.
Originally, Pearson didn't have the power to transfer into novels. One day, however, he saw a book. It was a silly book, really, called My Dearest King. But for some reason, Pearson was pulled to read it. He opened the book and began to read in his study. He felt tired after a while and decided to rest a bit.
After that? Blank. He had gotten pulled into the world of My Dearest King and had his memories wiped. He had inhabited the body of the villain, Zachary Solace. When he had first come to the world, he had seen a small girl with determination in her eyes. She tried to negotiate with him, even though she was clearly in a bad place. He had been amused and taken her.
After that, well you already know right?
