Lorena woke to someone picking her up. She panicked for a second before the familiar scent of gunpowder and leather filled her nostrils. Knowing it was Zachary, she let herself relax and fall back asleep.

She woke once more to a familiar room. It was Zachary's. She heard running water in the other room and assumed it was Zachary taking a shower. She felt refreshed. After having trouble sleeping the month or so she was away, she was really sleep deprived.

Her thoughts couldn't help but wander to the Garrula family. She had already gotten rid of the good for nothing Cade, but she felt it still wasn't enough. The thought of what happened to Zachary in his childhood made Lorena tremble in rage. She wanted nothing more than to bury the Garrula family six feet under. Scratch that. Twelve feet.

Lorena heard the shower turn off and sat up in bed. She just realized that she had her pajamas on. Her favorite ones she had accidentally left in her room. Another factor to add in regards to her insomnia. They were truly comfortable.

Zachary opened the door and was, much to Lorena's disappointment, dressed. He did, however, have a tight fitted white button-up shirt that left little to the imagination. She would take what she could get. He saw she was up and flashed a rare and breathtaking genuine smile. He walked over and kissed her on her forehead.

"You're up. Great. You slept like a log."

She slightly pouted at being referred to as a log, but quickly smiled once he started to pepper her in kisses. One on her nose, on her cheeks, forehead, and finally on her lips. She took the chance to grab his head and pull him closer to deepen the kiss. He licked her bottom lip, asking for permission, and she gave it to him. She opened her mouth and immediately his tongue swirled around hers. He wasted no time in exploring every place in her mouth and only came back up when she needed air.

He continued to kiss down her neck and started going lower, suggesting to what he wanted. She wanted to, she did, but she wanted food first. So she had to stop him.

"I'm hungry Zachary, can we eat please?"

As if agreeing with her, her stomach rumbled. Her face flushed and she gave a shy smile. He nodded and picked her up princess style. After filling herself, escaping to her room, getting ready, and meeting a certain puppy dog in his office, Lorena finally brought up the topic she had been wanting to talk about for a while now.

"Zachary, I've been thinking about this for a while now, so it's nothing new. But I want to destroy the Garrula family."

He looked up from his documents in surprise. Lorena thought he was going to shut her down, so she quickly continued.

"Just thinking about how they treated you when you were young makes me mad enough to bathe the world in blood. And the fact that the stupid ass of a young master Cade was doted on to that extent when he's not even worth a single hair on your head, pisses me off. Cade literally did nothing to contribute to the family and got luxury! You got neglected and had to leave!"

The more she spoke, the more worked up she got. It really wasn't fair! Cade was stupid. He was naive. And he was frivolous. He lacked morals as well. In what way was he better than Zachary? None! Zilch! Nada! She blamed herself. If only she had transmigrated a little earlier, she could've helped him. If only she had been there! She was frustrated beyond relief and started to feel herself tear up.

Seeing how she got so worked up over him, how could Zachary not be moved? He quickly got up from his chair and walked briskly over to Lorena. He hugged her and placed a kiss on the top of her head.

"Okay, but you cannot. I repeat. Cannot. Get hurt at all in any way possible. If you were harmed in any way because of me, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself."

Lorena nodded and sniffled. She really hated crying. It made her feel so weak. But it felt nice relying on Zachary. She looked up into Zachary's eyes and smiled.

"I'm going to make them fucking pay. Are you ready?"

He smiled back, an evil glint in his eyes.

"Of course."
