Chapter 57: LV

You're a Monster | ChenjiWords: 6970

The pure blooded vampire soaked his hand in the blood puddle and searched for the perfect place. The big white wall had a painting on it, but he thought it was ugly, so unhung the painting and kicked it away with his foot. Then, he raised his bloody hand and placed it on the wall, slowly tracing two big letters.

TY

He walked towards the victim, whose corpse was on the floor, still warm.

'She'd look great on the sofa, with her head on her hand.'

He said to his accomplice.

Donghyuck nodded and proceeded to crouch down next to the woman's head. With a fast movement, his hand chopped the head off, separating it from the rest of the body. Taeyong placed her as if she was sitting in the sofa, modelling her so that she looked like she was holding something, and Donghyuck placed the head on her hand.

'Looks good.'

Said Donghyuck, smirking. He got closer to the head and closed one of the woman's eyes, simulating an unnatural wink. Then, he took some blood from the puddle and smoothly painted her rips in red, licking the remainings off his fingers.

'Baby, I'm home!'

They heard someone getting inside the house. The person opened the door and headed to the living room.

When they heard the keys dropping, the two vampires turned around, smirking at her.

She froze in her place.

'W-who are y-you?!'

She yelled. She was horrified and paralyzed in fear. Her girlfriend was sitting on the sofa... headless.

She didn't have time to react. Before she could run, a hand was already perforating her stomach from behind. Her eyes widened as she felt the metallic taste on her mouth. She spat some blood and her legs gave up.

Taeyong and Donghyuck left the house satisfied, mask on so that the people who saw them wouldn't recognise them. They'd made enough of a mess to be proud of. They knew that wouldn't be on the news, though. It would alarm citizens way too much, just like the rest of their victims.

'So what if I've killed some humans for fun?' He protested.

'This is why I fucking hate vampires. You're such a monster! I perfectly understand that humans hate us!'

'Guys! Let's end this here, yeah?' Mark said, fed up with them. He dragged Johnny with him and Jungwoo went home with them.

'Why didn't you tell us?' Jaehyun questioned.

'Hey, Jaehyun, Doyoung, I murder humans for fun. But don't worry, Donghyuck helps me. Like that?' He rolled his eyes. 'No. You two were humans at some point, I didn't want to be that heartless and say that to your face.'

'Did you actually do that for fun, though?' Doyoung asked. They were talking as they went home.

'I was so stressed with everything I needed something to distract me.'

'By killing humans?' Doyoung spoke again.

'Look, everyone has their coping mechanisms. Mine is killing, and Donghyuck's is making people suffer. We only did that while Mark was kidnapped, we stopped when he came back.'

Yangyang was struggling to carry the taller on their way back home. Yangyang didn't want to accept Yukhei's death, despite feeling the cold temperature of his body.

'Yangyang... His body is freezing cold. There's nothing we can do to save him.' The younger didn't respond to Dejun's words. He kept walking stubbornly instead. They would be there in a few minutes. 'A vampire literally perforated him. His internal organs must be completely destroyed and he's lost so much blood-'

'Shut up!' Yangyang yelled, startling everyone. Kun shushed him not to wake Chenle up. 'I don't care if he's dead. I won't leave his corpse laying there.'

Yangyang felt something weird. His eyes landed on Yukhei's face, his nose was... sniffing around?

He didn't have time to react before feeling two sharp fangs sinking into his neck. Yangyang let out a choked scream as he felt the taller sucking his blood with a smirk. He instinctively dropped Yukhei, but instead of falling he was fast enough to stand up. Yangyang tried to push his head away, but the now vampire kept stubbornly drinking his blood.

Dejun and Kunhang were the first ones to react, their brains working hard to think of a solution. If they forcefully shoved the vampire off Yangyang, they might hurt the younger.

Sicheng searched for a syringe he kept in his pocket just in case and got ready to give the vampire a nice dose of sleeping serum, but the vampire unexpectedly stopped voluntarily. He knelt down, holding his own head and gritting his teeth.

Lucas, stop!

No!

Why would you do that to Yangyang?!

I just felt thirsty!

Come on, just admit you hate him, Lucas. You're always trying to hurt him!

I don't- Ugh... Fine. I dislike Yangyang. But that's not the reason I attacked him, it was instinctively!

We were supposed to be dead... What is going on?

I think we...

No way...

Taeyong saw the human aiming at Jungwoo with a gun. His blood boiled. He clenched his fists hard enough to draw some blood when his nails dug into his own palms.

How dare this human...

He tsked internally and before the human could hear him approaching and turn around he stabbed him with his hand, making sure it would be painful. He kept his hand through the human's abdomen for a while and then removed it harshly, slowly licking the blood off his hands as he saw the human fall on his knees. He smirked as he tasted the warm human blood mixed with his.

Lucas, we exchanged blood with a vampire!

So that's why we're still alive...

We're a vampire!

Don't be so fucking dramatic, Yukhei. At least we're alive.

Dramatic??? Lucas, you do realise we're literally in an organisation that is dedicated to KILLING VAMPIRES???

Then let's just leave???

We can't do that! They're our family!

So what?

Lucas, shut up.

But-

Shut up I said!

Yukhei made Lucas shut up to focus on the present instead. He shook his head one last time and got up, looking at the humans that surrounded him. Sicheng was holding a syringe, which didn't amuse him one bit. Kunhang and Dejun didn't look very friendly, standing next to a hurt-looking Yangyang. Kun was protectively holding Chenle and Chittaphon was the only one who kept a neutral face.

'I... I'm sorry, Lucas lost control. I won't let him take over again, don't worry.' He said looking down. 'Yangyang... Are you hurt?'

The younger shook his head, nonetheless he didn't make eye contact with the taller.

'I... I can help you carry Chenle.' He said to Kun. He felt bad for being a nuisance, he just wanted to help.

Kun wanted to refuse, but Chittaphon spoke first.

'Sure. Just make sure not to drop or hurt him.'

Kun hesitantly let Yukhei carry the sleeping younger, which the vampire made sure to hold softly as he knew he was stronger than when he was human. Lucas kept insisting on taking over, but Yukhei was able not to let him until they finally arrived to their destination.
