Chapter 751 Please Stay Because they were to leave by cargo ship, they couldnât take their car with them.
Therefore, Tobey had to park the car at the roadside, which was quite far away from the pier.
To avoid letting the cat out of the bag, they ran immediately after getting out of the car and tried to board the cargo ship before 11:00 a.m.
In addition to the strenuous exercise, Deirdre had not slept for a night already. Hence, she felt her lower abdomen aching.
Covering her lower abdomen, she felt a stream of heat under her body, along with a sharp pain.
âWhatâs wrong, Deirdre? Are you tired?â
Deirdre shook her head with her face white as a sheet.
âEndure a bit. The cargo ship wonât wait for us. Weâll be fine as long as we get there,â comforted Tobey.
âOkay.â
Deirdre nodded. She didnât tell Tobey about her bodyâs condition. As time waited for no man, she stretched herself to the extreme and paced forward until she finally got to the pier.
She heaved a sigh of relief when she felt that her lower abdomen wasnât as painful as it was. Following that, she heard her phone ring.
Tobey took a look while Deirdre answered the call after she hesitated slightly. Brendan should have just gotten off the plane. Therefore, she planned to comfort him to earn them a higher chance of escaping.
When she pressed the button to accept the call, she heard Brendanâs pleading voice amidst a noisy environment. âDeirdre, donât leaveâ¦â
Deirdre was startled.
Brendan sounded as though he was crying, and his voice was weak. But when Deirdre tried to listen carefully, she couldnât hear it clearly.
âDeirdre, Iâm sorry, donât go! Please, I beg you! Please stay!â
Gnashing her teeth, Deirdre determinedly cut off the call and threw the phone into the water.
âWhatâs wrong?â
Deirdreâs lips were discolored, and she shook her head as she replied, â Quickly, Brendan has realized it.â
She didnât know how Brendan had realized it. It sounded like he was near the airport, but she was running out of time to find out.
After greeting the cargo shipâs crew, they entered the cargo hold. It seemed to contain some smelly stuff, which led to the cargo hold becoming very smelly.
Tobey took off his jacket and put it on a box so that Deirdre could sit on it.
Deirdre felt that the cargo ship had begun to move, signaling that it had already departed. She looked up and asked, âHow long will it take to get to Surstate?â
âShortest is a day and a half, and the longest is three days.â
Seeing Deirdre holding her lower abdomen tightly, Tobey asked, âAre you alright? You donât look good since you got out of the car. Are you sick?â
âIâm alrightâ¦â Deirdre shook her head and got herself a good reason. âI think I look bad because I didnât have enough sleep. Iâll be fine after taking a nap.â
âHold on.â
Tobey made a small bed with a couple of boxes and spread a mat he took out of Deirdreâs bag on it.
âSleep on it first while I go to ask around for a suitable blanket.â
Deirdre went to sit on the makeshift bed. Tobey got his jacket and saw the blood on her when he was about to cover Deirdre with it.
âWhatâs this?â Tobeyâs eyes constricted with shock. âWhy is there blood? Deirdre! Are you injured?â
Deirdreâs mind went blank, and she didnât know what to say about the blood.
âI have my period.â
From her face, however, Tobey saw she was at a loss. He grabbed Deirdreâs shoulder. âTell me the truth! Whatâs wrong with you?â
Deirdreâs eyes were red as she replied somewhat forlornly, âIâm sorry, Tobey. Iâm pregnant.â
âYou are pregnant!?â Tobey was furious. âAre you nuts!? Youâre pregnant, yet you were running with me and boarded this ship! Do you know that no one can save you if anything happens to you!?â
