Chapter 534 Hand Injured Deirdre felt chilly. Upon returning to the mansion, she washed her face, trying hard to calm down. Then, she changed into a new dress.
When she went downstairs, Declan had left.
Declan had told her earlier that he had to go out because of the project. Deirdre sat on the sofa and switched on the TV. Even though she couldnât see, she could at least hear the sound, and she felt calmer by hearing the TV program.
After some time listening to the noisy TV program, Deirdre felt drowsy. It was until she smelled the scent of the flowers that she opened her eyes.
âAre they flowers?â said Deirdre with surprise while reaching out her hands.
Kyran, who appeared suddenly, was smiling with his eyes when he saw Deirdreâs surprised expression.
Yes, I went by a greenhouse and plucked a bouquet after obtaining permission from the owner. Do you like it?â
âYes.â
Unlike the lifeless flowers the florists sold, these flowers had a faint fragrance of freshness. Although she couldnât see, she could feel the freshness and beauty of the freshly picked flowers. She was moved and embraced the bouquet in her arms.
When she accidentally touched Kyranâs hand, she heard him hissing.
Deirdre became concerned and asked, âWhatâs wrong with your hand?â
âNothing,â replied Kyran as he tried to cover it up by withdrawing his hand. âMy hand is fine.â
Deirdre frowned with disbelief. She put aside the bouquet and demanded, âReach out your hand so that I can check.â
Kyran chuckled. âItâs not convenient for your eyes to see. Whatâs more, Iâm really fine. Itâs just that when picking these flowers, I was pricked by their thorns. Donât worry. Itâs not a big deal. Iâve already treated it. with first aid.â
âAre you sure?â Deirdre immediately turned serious. âWhy were you so careless? Whereâs the first aid box?â
With a gentle gaze, Kyran replied, âIâll find it.â
He eventually found the first aid box under the sofa. As soon as he opened the box and took out the disinfectant, Deirdre grabbed it over.
Even though she couldnât see it, she could fumble and clean Kyranâs wound with a cotton swab. She had tried her best to be as gentle as possible, yet she could still hear Kyranâs soft hissing sound once.
She felt distressed. âIs the wound deep?â
âNo, it is not.â
Deirdre pleaded plaintively, âPlease donât do it again next time. If Mr. King were to learn about it, I think he would laugh at you a couple of times.â
âWell, the main reason was that I wanted to pluck them so much for you when I saw them. I thought youâd like them very much,â said Kyran gently. His black eyes were filled with only tenderness as he asked, âDo you like the bouquet?â
Deirdre helplessly pulled the corner of her mouth. âYes, I do.â
She indeed loved these flowers. She felt instantly calm and recollected when she smelled the flowerâs fragrance.
âSince you like it, I donât mind even having my hand amputated for it. Let alone itâs just a minor injury.â
Deirdre was shocked upon hearing the declaration. She hurriedly reached out to cover Kyranâs mouth and said angrily while staring at him, âDonât simply say it. What if it really comes true?â
âIf it really comes true, you will have to take care of me. After all, I will not be able to eat, drink, and rest without you,â said Kyran seriously while staring at the womanâs face with clear black eyes.
Deirdre felt Kyranâs moving lips and warm breath when he spoke. She began to feel itchy and anxious.
Her heart was pounding fast, and she subconsciously withdrew her hands. However, Kyran forcibly grabbed her slender waist and pulled her toward him.
âYour hand-â
âDonât move,â said Kyran, who pressed his head against her abdomen, slowly closed his eyes, and breathed her scent.
Deirdre obeyed. But because she was still worried about his injured hand, she whispered, âIt is not yet bandaged.â
