saturn smiled at javon as they sat in the car. it was currently twelve : thirty four am, and the two snuck out of his house to go to a beach that was only about an hour or two away.
javon had told saturn about it and was talking about how that beach always had bioluminescence. so of course saturn wanted to go and javon would immediately get up to take her.
"do you think my mom would find out" javon asked curiously, a huge grin on his face.
"nope, if she does i'll just say i was forced into this. i am being kidnapped right now" saturn joked, smiling at him teasingly.
javon rolled his eyes, laughing quietly. he looked over at saturn admiring her as she took photos of the night sky. saturn turned over, feeling his eyes on her.
she smiled at him, intertwining their hands. javon returned the smile bringing her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles.
"keep your eyes on the road, javon" she joked, becoming nervous from the eye contact.
he chuckled lightly, looking back on the road and gripping the steering wheel with one hand, the other still intertwined with saturn's hand. the radio played champagne coast loudly
"i could drive with my eyes closed" he said, his smile still on his face. jokingly, he covered his eyes with his hand that was on the wheel.
saturn gasped, smacking his shoulder as he laughed loudly, placing his hand on the wheel again.
"you're not funny!" she yelled over the music, a smile creeping into her face. "i am very funny actually, remember yesterday? i think you were laughing the most when lili drank the juice i made"
javon began laughing, the memory of yesterday playing through his mind as he remembered it vividly.
he glanced over at saturn who had her phone up taking a video of him. "what are you doing?" he asked, trying to pay attention to the road.
"i'm recording you so i could show this to your mother, you need your license taken away!"
"what the hell!" javon snatched the phone out of her hand, laughing. "i'm a very safe and careful driver thank you very much" he said jokingly.
he glanced over at saturn who rolled her eyes at him, smiling as she turned away. her hair was down and it was all over the place,
the windows were rolled down making a mess out of her hair. javon smiled, watching her try and pull her hair back. he reached over, gently grabbing her chin and turning her head towards him.
he smiled and pushed her hair back from her face, chuckling quietly. "you look so beautiful" he said under his breath, admiring her.
saturn blushed turning away, unsure of how to respond to his compliments. the rest of the ride was silent, only music from the radio filling the car.
javon continued to glance over at saturn every once in a while, watching how her hair blew in the wind from the open window as she stared out into the night.
javon reached over and placed his hand on her thigh, his fingers tracing delicate patterns on her skin.
in attempt to get her attention, as she had fallen asleep. he smiled as he felt her shiver under his touch.
he moved his hand to grab hers, bringing her hand to his lips and kissing the back of her hand. he looked over, finding her eyes staring right at him.
her expression was tired but her eyes were full of life and love. she smiled, gripping his hand a little tighter.
"we're here already" javon whispered as they pulled into the parking lot of the beach.
saturn smiled, glancing out her at the beach in front of her. the beach was visible through the window, a faint glow coming from the water. javon looked over at saturn who was staring at the glow, in awe.
he let go of her hand as he parked the car, stepping out and walking over to her side to help her out.
once he closed the door, saturn pulled him towards the shore. "we can go in the water right?"
"if you brought extra clothes" javon laughed, letting saturn practically drag him. the two stopped at a certain spot putting their things down.
the glow in the sand illuminated on their skin. saturn wasted no time running towards the water.
javon watched her for a moment as the water around her began to glow from her body along with the waves. he couldn't tear his eyes away from her, watching how she looked under the glowing water.
he smiled, slowly walking over towards her, stopping to pull his shirt off, leaving his shirt on the sand. he continued to walk into the water, joining her. his eyes widened as he moved closer to her.
"you're insane, it's fucking cold!" he complained, his body beginning to shiver. saturn snorted, a smile beginning to form as she thought of something.
she watched him silently swooping his arm around the water. forcefully she pushed his whole body back into the water. she laughed loudly
javon gasped, his body being submerged under water. he resurfaced, his hair sticking to his forehead. he looked over at saturn who was laughing loudly, enjoying his misery.
"you are a horrible person" he said, trying to hide his grin, as he began to splash water at her
saturn giggled, covering her face from his splashing "you love me the way i am" she teased, moving away to go under the water, giving him no time to respond.
he watched as she disappeared under the water, the glow that she gave off from her body disappearing.
javon smiled at her comment, his heart fluttering at the thought. did he love her?
yes, he did. but, she doesn't know that. god it's more than loving her. he was inlove with her.
loving someone and being inlove with someone was completely different to him.
he stood there a few seconds, waiting for her to appear. he began to panic when the water only glowed from his own body,
showing no sign of saturn. he swam around frantically, his heart beginning to race with worry.
"saturn" he called out, trying to look for her, hoping to see her head come out from the water. he called out for her again, his voice growing louder.
dread was starting to set in as he called out for her again. he stopped, the silence from the lack of response from her was terrifying. he tried to remain calm, taking a deep breath.
but then, she appeared, standing behind him. "what?" he quickly turned, looking at her. he was relieved upon seeing her, but quickly got angry.
"what the hell is wrong with you!" he yelled, pulling her body to his, her body remained still as she was confused why he was so concerned
"uhm okay?" she laughed confusingly as he pulled away. javon looked down at her, his expression still full of concern and anger.
"you just disappeared under water! i thought you were drowning, or something!" he said, gently holding her shoulders.
saturn smirked, holding an enormous sea shell in her hands. she noticed how worried and angry he still was, but she ignored it as she examined the shell, turning it in her hands.
"look at how big it is" she said, looking at him with amused eyes, she brought the shell up to her ear, hearing the faint sound of the ocean,
he stared at her, his heart beginning to calm down once he saw that she was fine.
despite how calm he tried to remain, she could still hear the shake and annoyance in his voice. "saturn i was worried sick about you, and you're over here admiring the size of a damn shell?"
"yes i am â wait, listen!" she interrupted herself as she held the shell out for him to listen to.
he leaned over, holding the shell to his ear, only hearing the ocean.
he placed his ear up to the shell, listening to the ocean. he sighed, not amused by her actions.
he pulled back, looking at her, noticing her smile. he tried hard to fight the urge to smile or laugh at her excitement over a shell.
"okay i'm cold, can we get out of the water" saturn asked, her body shivering
"yeah" javon said, gently placing his hand on her waist, helping her out of the cold water.
he grabbed the towel she brought, wrapping it around her body, bringing her closer to him to keep her warm.
"did you bring yourself a towel?" she asked as they sat in the sand. "no, we have a beach house here"
saturn raised her eyebrows a bit surprised but not really. "where?" javon looked around and pointed at the houses down the beach.
he chuckled lightly at the surprised look on her face, his arm was still wrapped around her waist, holding her to his side as they sat in the sand.
"that one right there" he pointed at the big house that sat further down the beach, on the opposite end from where they were sitting.
he leaned back, resting on one arm, his free hand gently tracing patterns on saturn's hip. "i used to come here all the time when i was younger"
he looked over at saturn who was watching the night sky, the moon casted a faint glow on her face, lighting up her features.
a smile tugged on his lips as he watched her, admiring the way her eyes glimmered under the moon and how her nose had cute little freckles sitting right above it.
"wait so, why did you not bring a towel?" she questioned, not understanding what he was trying to say. "well, since it's right there" javon answered, turning to look at her, his eyes meeting hers.
"if you're still cold, we could go over to the house" javon said, watching her expression, waiting for a response.
"wouldn't we get caught like, your mom would be alarmed we went into the house?" javon shook his head, smiling at her. "that's what you're worried about?"
he chuckled lightly, gently placing his hand on her chin, tilting her head to look at him. "we won't get caught, jaden and jayla know we're here. i have the key also"
"come on" he said, standing up. he held his hand out for saturn to grab, pulling her up with him.
he laced his fingers with hers, leading her towards the house. they began walking down the beach, the house growing closer to them.
javon glanced down, noticing how she was shaking slightly, obviously still cold. he smiled, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as they walked,
trying to share his warmth with her. they eventually made it to the house, stopping at the door. he looked over at saturn, watching her reaction with a smile.
he pulled the keys out of his pocket, unlocking the door and gently opening it. as the door opened, the main room of the house came into view.
the room was pretty big with a couch and a large tv sitting in front in the middle of the room. he flipped the light switch, the lights illuminating the room with a bright glow.
he stepped aside from the doorway, waiting for her to walk in first. he smiled, watching her as her eyes filled with curiosity as she examined the house.
after the long tour of the house and changing into warmer clothes, javon and saturn landed up on the roof of the house with blankets and pillows.
javon laid back on the pillows, watching the night sky. the moon was casting another beautiful glow, causing saturn to look more angelic then she usually did.
he glanced over at her, admiring the way the glow casted over her body.
he reached his arm out, grabbing her hand, intertwining their fingers together.
he silently pulled her down, causing her to lay in the space right next to him. he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
javon wrapped his arm around saturn's waist, pulling her closer to him. he looked down at her, seeing her head rest on his chest.
the moment of peace and quiet brought a swarm of thoughts through his mind, thinking about how much he loved her.
the feeling of her right next to him, her arm laying across his stomach, her legs tangled with his, her skin touching his felt so good, so right.
"saturn" he spoke quietly, breaking the silence. he felt her shift a bit, turning her head to look up at him.
"hmm?" she let out softly, her eyelids were half closed as she looked at him, still trying to remain awake. he brought his hand up to her chin, holding her face in his hand.
he gently cupped her cheek, noticing how she leaned into his touch. he took a deep but shaky breath, not sure if now was the right time to tell her.
he looked down at her, his heart racing as she looked at him with her bright eyes.
he swallowed, his mouth suddenly dry, as he continued to look at her. he opened his mouth to speak, the words right on the tip of his tongue.
the look on her face said 'continue'. he was nervous and on the verge of either passing out or throwing up from the nerves and excitement.
"i have to tell you something" he spoke quietly, gently rubbing her cheek with his thumb.
saturn laughed a little confused, "okay.."
javon took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. he held her face in his hand, gently tracing small patterns on her cheek as he stared at her, watching her expression.
"saturn, i don't think you understand the effect you have on me." he said, noticing a small hint of confusion on her face.
he continued to rub her cheek with his thumb, trying to find the right words to say as it suddenly became hard for him to talk.
"you make my heart pound. you make my palms sweaty. and i love every feeling you give me.
i love the butterflies i feel when i'm with you. i love how we can just sit in silence and it's not awkward.
i love you, god i love you so much.
and i think i might be inlove with you and it terrifies me but in a good way? i just-" he spoke, beginning to ramble at the end, pausing after he realized he might be saying too much.
he looked at her quickly afraid of what her reaction might be. he was panting slightly from the rambling of words he spewed.
he didn't look away from her, his eyes glued to hers, watching for any sign of a negative reaction.
but there was no negativity shown on her face, just pure happiness and admiration. like she's been waiting for this moment desperately.
seeing the happiness and admiration in her eyes only made his heart race more.
"say something" he whispered eagerly but softly, his hand still on her cheek, his thumb still making patterns on her soft skin.
he watched as her mouth opened slowly, but no words were spoken.
he shifted, sitting up more, his hand leaving her face. he was beginning to doubt himself, what if he was wrong? what if she didn't feel the same?
she stopped his movement, placing her hands in his as she sat up as well.
"no, wait, i love you too â i'm, like, head over heels in love with you, oh my gosh," she smiled, bringing her face close to his and connecting their lips.
hearing her say those words sent butterflies flooding through his stomach. a smile appeared on his lips as she spoke, but it was quickly cut off by her placing her lips on his.
he instantly pulled her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her waist
javon held saturn in his arms, their foreheads touching, breaths mixing together from the passionate kiss.
he pulled her into his lap, sitting her between his legs. she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his body closer to hers as she continued to kiss him.
he pulled away, needing air, a smile sat on his red, swollen lips, caused from the kisses.
"say it again" he whispered, needing to hear the words come from her mouth.
"i love you" she said quietly, smiling widely, before pulling him into another kiss.
he held her close to him, a smile still never leaving his lips. he was overwhelmed with excitement and happiness.
they finally confessed their feelings. they finally confessed their love for each other.
