"Hmm.... That's new, I should be doing a lot of good so I receive kisses from you maybe I might get it on the lips" he said and I playfully pushed him away making him jerk backwards.
"You wish" I stuck out my tongue and went to seat next to my mum.
She was singing along to the cartoon character trying to fix a person's car in an act of goodwill, cartoon characters can be so unreal, no one is that good enough to go to people's house to fix things for free, children believe it so why should I complain.
I spent some time with my mother before I joined Xander in the kitchen so we could prepare something for dinner, mum still refers me to her sister and I kinda feel a little down at times.
Xander was going to attempt cooking my mother's favorite food but the ingredients weren't enough so we chose to work with what we had.... Pizza, he said he was great skill at buying it, which made me laugh.
While he ordered the pizza, I prepared a smoothie. He helped with cutting the fruits while I stood watching, he said he doesn't want me to get hurt, isn't that sweet, such a flirt.
I know it was wrong to fall for him so quickly but Xander is so damn sweet, and I can't control what my heart is starting to feel especially when he fed me that watermelon and wiped my shirt when the water dripped on it.
"Wait here, let me get the blender from the storehouse" he left to get it and I watched him leave, love can be stupid cause I can't help blushing.
There was a bang sound and a loud cry for help. I quickly rushed to the store house to see Xander on the floor with a heavy box on his leg, I didn't even want to think of how it happened cause I was pannicking both inside and outside, clueless of what to do.
I used the little strength I had to try and push it but it was only making it worse. For some reason I started crying when there was nothing else to do.
"Call Damon" Xander said in faint voice.
"What?" I leaned closer to hear.
"Call Damon!!!" Xander managed to scream. I rushed back in to get Xander's phone since I didn't have Damon's number on mine. The phone needed a password which made me return back to Xander for it.
Xander was still trying to wiggle himself out but the load on the box was way to heavy to move away from. "Xander please what's the password on your phone?" I asked.
Xander hesistated to speak and I asked him again in case if he didn't hear. "Xander?" "The password is Elizabeth" he said, I couldn't understand the pain that went through my chest but it most definitely hurt, "Elizabeth" why her?
In as much that I was feeling hurt about the password issue I pushed myself to make a call to Damon. I stayed with Xander until Damon arrived with the ambulance.
With the strength of both Damon and the ambulance guys they were able to move the box away from Xander's legs.
One of the equipment in the box tore out of the carton and tore Xander's foot which led to the bleeding. Xander was taken straight to the hospital accompanied by Damon,
I couldn't come along because of my mum who I had to send back home.
I came to the hospital afterwards and was told Xander had also sprained his ankle and would be on the wheelchair for the next two weeks.
It dawned on me that it was partly my fault but Xander consoled me and told me it wasn't. I was still a little bit perplexed about the password on Xander's and I must say that it worries me so much that it hurts.
Damon had gotten irritated by my crying and stormed out of the room out of anger, healso wanted to make a phone call to the office that he would be absent today again, he has been working at home lately something about social distancing.
There were minimal talk between the both of us at it was nothing serious, we did exchange glances from time to time but it was because I was still sobbing and he looked at me irritably.
Damon drove the both of us back home and I helped Xander onto the wheelchair, it was an electronic wheelchair so he could do the hectic pushing by his controls. Oh... Give thanks to the machines that has made life so easy.
Damon the both of us to ourselves and I followed Xander to his house. I was a little hesitant to go in but later agreed after a lot of persuasion from him.
His house was homely and modern unlike the mansion. The mansion was okay in primitive settings but as large as it was it didn't beat Xander's house.
Xander's house was a clear definition of the word bachelor. It was terribly neat.
"You can sit over there while I get you some water" Xander said.
I told he didn't have to that I could get it myself but he insisted and I let him. He later asked me to get something in the room and I did.
Xander opened the room and a female voice was heard, I couldn't tell who it was because I was a little behind Xander and he closed the door immediately before I could even get a peep, whoever it was sounded like, "I have missed you so much Xander pie...."
There was an awkward tension between the both of us and I left his house immediately before any tear drop.
I sat on the couch trying to regain and understand myself when Alicia walked in and her friend ran towards her and asked. "Where have you been Ali ?"
"Went to check on Xander, heard he wasn't feeling well" she said wryly, "I am going up to my room to get some rest"
"Alright, I'll go check on him and see how he is doing" Jeanette moved to leave but Alicia stopped her.
"No! I don't think he is in the mood for visitors right now" she ran up to her room and closed the door shut that you could hear the sound all the way down.
I concluded she too had seen what I couldn't get to see. And even if she did see why
was her reaction like that. I know mine wasn't any different but I am not the one who's wedding is in four months with his brother.
Whatever what is going on I do know it goes way beyond friendship.
