Nonetheless, Tina didnât forget to send her menu after her previous message.
âEudora, I want to have your cooking!â
Seeing that, Eudora got up and began to put on her clothes.
Amos stretched out his hand and pulled her back.
âWhere are you off to?â
She pushed him away and said, âYou still had the audacity to ask me. Did you reprimand my sister earlier? Itâs normal for a pregnant lady like her to have cravings. How could you reprimand her?â
He furrowed his brow and said, âEven if she was craving food, she was tiring my wife out. Why canât I reprimand her?â
Eudora was stunned for a moment, and then she was touched by what he said.
She lowered her head and smiled at him.
âIâm not tired!â
He pulled her back and said, âAre you really not tired?â
âIâm really not tired! I had a good nap earlier. I want to go down and have a look!â
The next second, he pressed her onto the bed.
âSince youâre not tired, then we can do something fun!â
She was speechless.
âAmos!â
â¦
Although he didnât want to tire Eudora out, Tina came with Christopher to their house for a free meal!
Eudora was happy and willing to cook. She was satisfied with how Tinaâs belly was growing and how she enjoyed her food every day.
There were many times when she was caressing Tinaâs belly. She was missing the time when she was pregnant.
In fact, it was very heart-warming for a woman to have a little baby growing inside her!
She even mentioned it to Amos, âWhy donât we have another one?â
He was dumbfounded. He immediately hugged her and said, âNo!â
She asked, âWhy? Arenât kids cute?â
âWe still canât! Anyway, I wonât agree to let you have another child!â
She was just throwing words around. She might go back on her words later even if Amos agreed. However, she didnât expect him to reject the idea.
Hence, she was slightly vexed.
âWhy? Do you hate me?â
He was speechless.
âWhy would you think that?â
âThen, you donât like my kids! You have to give me a reason!â
âIâ¦â He was about to say something, but he changed his mind. Instead, he said, âAnyway, I do not agree with this!â
After that, he left.
It was not until she woke up the next morning that she realized he hadnât been back throughout the night.
She frowned while she was opening the door. Then, she saw Cindy cleaning up the room next to hers, so she asked curiously, âDidnât you clean up the room yesterday? Why are you cleaning it again today?â
Cindy laughed and said, âOh, Mr. Granger slept here last night! Thus, I have to tidy it again.â
Eudora was staggered.
This rascal went to sleep in the room next door because she mentioned having another baby!
Was he not going to sleep with her anymore?
She was a little annoyed. She turned around and went back to change her clothes.
When she went downstairs, Amos brought Sugar Bun in from the outside. Recently, he would always bring him out for an exercise in the mornings!
Although Sugar Bun was only two years old, he was able to mimic some workout moves!
Eudora reached out to hug and kiss her son. Amos said, âIâve asked Cindy to prepare breakfast. Iâm not sure if itâs what you likeâ¦â
However, before he finished his words, she had already put Sugar Bun down.
She ignored him and said to her son, âIâm going to work. Sugar Bun, be good!â
And then, she left.
Amos didnât know what to say.
Looking at his woman leave, filled with a little bit of anger, Amos smiled bitterly. It seemed that he had really exasperated her!
â¦
In fact, all Eudora wanted was for Amos to come to cajole her and apologize to her, and everything would be fine again.
At least, it could be an opportunity for them to reconcile.
Unexpectedly, he did not look for her even when she had been lingering around the house for quite a while.
In the end, Cindy came out and saw that Eudora was still outside. She was bewildered.
âMadam, arenât you going to work? Why are you still here?â
Eudora was shocked.
She simply found an excuse and said, âI⦠Iâve dropped something. Iâm searching for it.â
Cindy said hurriedly, âIâll help you find it! What did you drop?â
Hearing their voices, Amos also walked out and glanced over her.
âThereâs no need for that anymore!â
She turned around and went straight into the car!
Cindy was confused.
âHow am I supposed to find it when she didnât even tell me what she dropped?â
Amos burst out laughing. He told her, âItâs nothing, donât worry about it! Sheâs just angry with me!â
Cindy blinked her eyes and asked, âWhy?â
He let out a sigh and thought, âWhy? Because I told her I donât want her to have a baby!â
âItâs fine. Iâll handle it!â
â¦
Eudora was in a foul mood the entire day.
When Clint came in to report his work progress, he saw how unhappy she was. He kindly asked, âAre you okay?â
âDonât ask me. If you want to know about it, go and ask President Granger!â
He was bemused.
He looked out of the window subconsciously and thought, âThe weather is good! Pigs still canât fly. Everything seems normal, but how did President Granger make his wife mad?â
To him, Mr. Granger was the person who adored and cherished his wife the most.
However, Eudora didnât look like someone unreasonable, did she?
Clint took out his phone to send a message to Amos. However, he didnât expect that Eudora would feel depressed again as soon as he took it out.
âDonât call him! Donât tell him that Iâm angry!â
Clint was dumbstruck.
It was hard to read a womanâs mind!
âThen, youâ¦â
âStop asking! Iâm in a great mood. Let me tell you, if Amos calls you and asks you how I feel, just tell him that Iâm happy. Iâm over the moon!â
He was speechless.
âOkay!â
However, not long after, Eudora, who came out after a meeting, asked Clint.
âDid Amos ask you anything?â
He shook his head and said, âNo! Perhaps he is not free. He probably has a lot of things to do at home!â
She went silent.
After seeing a client, she asked again.
âDid Amos call you?â
Clint was awkward and said, âNot⦠Not yet. Maybe he will soonâ¦â
Eudora snorted, and her steps grew heavier.
In the end, Clint understood instantly as soon as she cast a glance at him.
âItâs coming, itâs coming! He should be calling!â
Unfortunately, the evening was approaching, and Amos hadnât called as they were about to get off work.
She was so sulky that she didnât want to get off work! Eventually, Clint came to her merrily after she dawdled for a while until it was past eight oâclock.
âMadam, Mr. Granger is here.â
There was finally a trace of joy on Eudoraâs face, but she quickly composed herself.
âWhat is he doing here? I donât want to see him!â
Clint caught a glimpse of the clock hanging on the wall. He couldnât get off work because they were fighting. He wanted to go back to have dinner with Anya!
Therefore, he tried to persuade her again.
âPresident Granger made a mistake, but he knows his mistake now. You should at least give him a chance!â
Only then did Eudora have a hesitant expression on her face, and she said, âYouâre right; Iâll give him a chance. Let him in!â
