One of the most difficult things to do in this world was to stop someone who had already made up their mind.
Vivian was determined to go in, and Clint could not stop her.
She opened the door and walked towards Amos. Callum looked at Vivian, gritting his teeth. âYou b*tch, how dare you come back after everything that youâve done?â
The corner of Vivianâs mouth twitched. âI donât think youâd want to quarrel with me outside!â
Callum was stunned for a moment. Vivian had been following him for so many years, and she had always been submissive and timid. In the past, he had always liked to have such a humble and obedient wife.
It satisfied his masculine desire to conquer, but nowâ¦
All of a sudden, he realized this side of her, calm and fearless, as if there was light in her eyes, capturing manyâs attention.
Callum frowned, and allowed them in.
He took the opportunity to grab Vivianâs arm while she was not paying attention. âYou took away my documents, so you shouldnât have thought of coming back. And you should also know what would happen if you did!â
Amos frowned, but he heard Vivianâs voice before he could open his mouth to speak.
âPresident Granger, thank you for taking me in. This is between the two of us. I hope I can solve it by myself!â
Amos nodded and stopped talking.
Callum took the opportunity to push Vivian into a compartment next to him, then closed the door.
âPresident Granger, letâs go. Mr. Nolan is waiting for you!â
Amos looked in the direction of the closed compartment and thought for a few seconds.
He then said, âI believe that you are well aware of your current predicament. I advise you not to lay hands on her. Donât dirty your hands anymore.â
Callum paused and didnât say anything else.
â¦
In the innermost living room, Eudoraâs hands were tied together by Fabian as she stood there.
It wasnât until she heard footsteps outside that Fabian spoke to Eudora in a low voice.
âHavenât you always said that I was nothing compared to Amos? Well, Iâll show you his face after Iâve stepped on it. Only then will you find out that heâs but a mortal with flesh and blood, thereâs nothing special about him at all!â
Eudora glared at Fabian angrily. âIf you dare to hurt him, I will never forgive you!â
âIt doesnât matter!â Fabian smiled bitterly and replied, âI have already missed out on so much anyway. I donât mind that little bit of hatred. After all, how else would we continue to be with each other in the future?â
Eudoraâs heart skipped a beat. âThe future?â
Did Fabian find another way to escape again?
At this moment, there was a knock on the door, and Callumâs voice could be heard.
âMr. Nolan, Amos is here!â
Eudoraâs heart clenched, and she bit Fabianâs finger. While he was writing in pain, she let go of herself and shouted, âAmos, run!â
Fabian pulled her back and held her neck tightly.
âGo ahead and yell. He has already entered anyway, heâd better not think about leaving this place alive!â
The door was pushed open, and Amos stood at the door with his lips pursed tightly.
âEudoraâ¦â
Eudoraâs eyes reddened. She had always hoped to see Amos again. However, her heart grew even more uneasy now that he was really here.
âWhy are you so stupid? I donât want you anymore. Why are you still here when Iâm already with someone else?â
She didnât know what else she should say. She just hoped that she could make him forget about her if she said something heartlessâ¦
Unexpectedly, Amos raised the corner of his lips and laughed.
âYou little minx, youâre lying to me again, arenât you?â
Feeling a lump in her throat, Eudoraâs face was covered in tears.
Fabian snorted, âI asked you to come here, not to see you two be lovey-dovey with each other in front of me! Amos, I respect you for coming in alone. Why donât we warm up a little first?â
Since Amos had promised to come in, he must have known what he would face. However, he hadnât expected it to be a game.
âWhatâre you playing at?â
Fabian raised his hand with a smile, taking out a gun from behind and raising it.
âA bullet! The good old Russian Roulette!â
Eudoraâs eyes widened. âNo! Donât! Donât do it!â
Fabian mustâve somehow rigged the game in his favor. She could not let Amos take such a risk.
This was the situation that Fabian wanted. He smiled and said, âItâs not too late to give up nowâ¦â
âNo!â Amos frowned. âLetâs begin!â
âAmos!â Eudora shook her head with all her might.
Amos smiled at her and replied, âDonât worry, I wonât die so easily. I still have to take you back to Rosaville City!â
Fabian had already let go of Eudora and put her in the sunroom next to him, and locked the door.
That room had obviously been specially made for this, and there were no tools in it. Eudora couldnât do anything else apart from striking the glass with all her might.
After Fabian had loaded the gun, he fired at himself and handed the gun to Amos.
âLetâs begin!â
Amos paused for a while and said, âHold on!â
Fabian was stunned, and then a smile appeared on his face.
âWhat? Are you scared? Itâs okay, I can let you go!â
Amos shook his head. âNo, itâs not that. Since itâs a game, thereâs got to be at least a prize to it. If I win, Iâll be taking Eudora away.â
Fabian snorted, âEudora is mine, she is my fiance. You will never be able to take her away. Donât even think about it.â
Amos frowned. âThen I wonât participate in this game!â
Fabian sneered, âAmos, donât think that Iâm afraid of you. Youâre in my territory now. What you do is up to me. Itâs not up to you to decide!â
âSo what?â Amosâs face was filled with nonchalance. âIâm here to save her. If you refuse to let me do that, then do as you please!â
âYouâ¦â Fabian was angry. The next second, he called for Callum, âOpen the switch!â
Amos was startled. He saw that the sunroom where Eudora was in had actually started to burn. It turned out that the room was made from a lot of fine wire.
And these wires could conduct electricity!
Eudora was still standing on the side, but when Callum suddenly turned on the electricity supply to the Sunshine Room, she was shocked and jumped back from the electric shock. Sparks were flying in all directions.
Amos held his breath and quickly moved forward. âEudora!â
Even Fabian was frightened, and he hurriedly called Callum, âTurn it off! Who told you to turn it on now? Are you stupid?â
Callum quickly turned off the power supply. Eudora instinctively took a few steps back and stood in the middle of the room.
âAre you alright?â
Eudora shook her head after hearing what he said. âIâm fine.â
Amos felt relieved and turned to Fabian. âFabian, letâs play this stupid game of yours!â
Fabian looked at Eudora reluctantly before turning around and laughing aloud. âVery well!â
