Fabian stopped in his tracks. âWhat did you say?â
Callum then burst into tears. Although he had been following Fabian all these years, he had actually been carefully selected by Malcom to look after Fabian.
He revered Malcom. Hence, he was very sad when he learned of his death.
âThe old man must have been forced to death by that so-called police! We must find a way to avenge the old man!â
Fabian did not reply. He stood there for a long time without responding.
Did he hate Malcom before? Of course, he did. When he was a child, he hated the way he treated his mother.
However, Malcom had been taking care of him after his mother left.
Malcom seemed to have realized his mistakes at that time and began to take care of Fabian well. In order to take care of him, he even went out of his way and learned how to cook.
Later, he even alienated the organization and trained himself to be the highly-revered elite he was now.
His hatred for him had dissipated a lot over the years.
When he heard the news of his death, Fabian felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
Callum thought that Fabian would be furious, but he wasnât. Callum grew slightly anxious and quickly checked up on Fabian.
âMr. Nolan, how are you feeling?â
âGet out of here! I need to be alone for a moment!â
Callum pursed his lips and said, âMr. Nolan, Iâm sorry for yourâ¦â
âGet out!â Fabian finally couldnât hold back and he shouted at him.
Callum then quickly went away.
â¦
Eudora slowly sat up when she heard the commotion outside. Fabian had probably thought that she would wake up anytime soon, so he had tied her up ever since.
Eudora recalled the layout of the place here last time. Perhaps now was a good time to escape.
However, the windows in this room were all securely locked, and the only exit was the door. Eudora listened carefully to confirm that there was no sound outside before slowly walking over and opening the door.
As a result, she saw Fabian sitting outside as soon as she opened the door.
He just sat there, like a sculpture. He didnât show any reaction at all.
Eudora subconsciously retreated. Just as she was about to walk back, Fabian stretched his hand out and held onto her.
âEudora, would you sit with me for a while?â
Eudoraâs fingers paused and she subconsciously struggled. In the next second, a tear suddenly fell from Fabianâs eye.
However, a smile remained on his face. He raised his head and said to Eudora with a smile.
âDid you know? Heâs dead!â
Eudora frowned. âWho?â
âMalcom!â The name was like the ripples on the surface of the water, but for Eudora, it felt like the calm lake in her heart had been hit by a giant meteorite.
Eudora did not hate Malcom at all. She was the kind of person who would only hate someone for what they have done. Although Malcom was Fabianâs father, she realized that Malcom was just an old man who wanted to live a peaceful life.
There was no need to mention the brotherhood between him and Tyler. Especially when Fabian ran away, he went back resolutely and turned himself in.
Eudora respected him a lot. When she heard that he was dead, naturally, she was a little shocked.
âWhy?â
Fabian didnât reply. The next second, he hugged Eudora and held her tightly in his arms.
âI thought that I would hate him, but why am I so sad when he is dead? Eudora, my father is gone, the Nolan has fallen, I have nothing now!â
Eudora wanted to reply, âYou deserve everything! With that cold heart of yours, God knows how many bad things youâve done. Itâs karma to have nothing left today.â
However, she held her tongue in order to not make things difficult for herself.
All of a sudden, Fabian raised his head again and looked at Eudora with a burning gaze.
âHow about you give me a child? When we have a child in the future, I will never treat you and the child as he did. Letâs get along well, just the three of us, okay?â
Eudora sneered internally. She couldnât hold back the emotions that she had suppressed anymore.
Just as she was about to speak, she heard Callum running over. âMr. Nolan, this is bad! Theyâre here!â
Fabian tightened his grip on Eudoraâs hand. âWhat?â
Callum glanced at Eudora and stopped speaking.
âSpeak!â Fabian said, âEudora is not an outsider!â
Then, Callum opened his mouth and continued, âAmos has brought his men here!â
Eudoraâs eyes lit up, and she seemed to be in high spirits. Amos had arrived, he had actually found this place!
As soon as Fabian looked up, he saw Eudoraâs bright smile. He held his breath and knew that the smile was probably something that would never belong to him.
All of a sudden, a trace of jealousy arose in his heart.
Fabian snorted coldly and told Callum, âGo, tell Amos that heâs only allowed to come in by himself, and the others will all have to retreat at least 1, 500 meters away!â
Callum looked at Fabian in shock. âMr. Nolan.. youâ¦â
Was he out of his mind? Why wasnât he thinking about running away, and letting Amos in instead? What if this went terribly wrong?
âGo!â Fabian ordered.
Eudoraâs heart tightened and she subconsciously moved her body.
âFabian, what are you planning to do by asking Amos to come in? If you plan to use me against him, I will never forgive you!â
Fabianâs face darkened, and a sinister smile appeared on his face.
âYouâll see!â
â¦
At the same time, outside, Callum shouted at Amos and relayed Fabianâs message.
Clint said hurriedly, âPresident Granger, you canât go! Itâs obviously a trap!â
However, Amos had already gotten out of the car. âEudora is in there. I have to go in.â
Clint opened his mouth. âPresident Grangerâ¦â
âAlright, everyone, listen to me. Step back. Without my orders, you absolutely must not act rashly,â He couldnât give Fabian any chance to hurt Eudora.
Clint knew Amosâs temper, so he could only wave his hand and tell the driver to retreat.
They were all paying attention to Eudora inside, and no one noticed that Vivian, who was sitting in the passenger seat, had been pale since she arrived.
However, even though they did not notice it, someone eventually did.
Callum spotted Vivian and hurriedly stopped them again.
âShe stays here!â
Clintâs face fell. âDonât push your luck!â
Callum stared at Vivian. âIt really is you, you d*mn b*tch. For so many years, how have I treated you? Donât you have any conscience at all? What do you get out of treating me like this?â
Vivian let out a bitter laugh and called for the driver.
âStop the car and let me out!â
The driver was stunned, and Clint, who was standing behind him, said anxiously, âYou will be in danger if you go out. We didnât bring you here to let you risk your life!â
Obviously, their target was Amos. There was no need for Vivian to go out.
However, Vivian shook her head and replied, âThank you. I know that you are trying to protect me. But I am not only here to show you the way. I want to go in by myself!â
