Damien's POV
I have to get out of here... he's gone, I can leave.
Finally, I'm free from this mess. He's been keeping me down there for so long, I've lost track of time. I hope I can get away...
I ran as fast as I could, my feet slammed against the ground hard, pushing my body forward as fast as they could.
I had been locked up for so long that I was already winded but I kept pushing, I'm not going to let him get me again.
"Damien!!"
Shit! He saw me.... this can't be happening.
I tried to run again but it's as if I'm frozen. I can't move.
He's coming again. His face is just inches from mine when I finally look up, he's looking at me with that wide smile of his.
"You're still sick! You can't leave yet silly!"
The towns folk all looked at him like he was doing the right thing, if only they knew what was really happening.
"Come on, let's go home."

I woke up gasping for air. Sweat runs down my body as I tremble. I've had this stupid nightmare ever since that day. I can't seem to just forget about it and it's already been 10 years.
With shaky limbs, I stand up and make my way to the kitchen. I needed water to help me calm down.
I get to the kitchen and get some fresh and cold water, soothing my dry throat. I sigh to myself silently as I look at the time.
4:30 am
I probably wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, I usually can't after that nightmare in particular.
'I guess I could start working.' I thought to myself as I walked around my house.
I ended up settling on the couch with my glass of water and laptop and started working. I worked online for a web design company, so I could do work basically whenever I wanted to.
After a few hours I had finished all that I needed to do today so I decided to get ready for the day.
I went upstairs and changed into my going out clothes, which consisted of some dark jeans, an oversized hoodie, and a mask to cover my face.
I rarely went outside, I tried to avoid it as much as possible, but whenever I did I was always wearing something like this. It didn't really show my skin and even though people knew who I was because of how I was dressed, it gave me a sense of security that I could hide behind all of this cloth. My body was covered in scars so the fact that I was covered was nice when I was around others.
I walked back downstairs as I finished and looked through my fridge to see if I could make a quick breakfast before my outing.
As I expected, there was nothing to eat. I guess I'll have to head out now then.
After the... incident, the people in my community didn't like me. They were all mislead but I couldn't explain myself to them so I never bothered to. I just allowed them to live in their ignorance and ignored all of the hateful glares thrown at me.
I stepped outside, the cool air hitting my face. I sighed in content and locked my door so I could continue my journey into town.
All I was doing was running errands, I just needed food and some other things so it shouldn't take me too long. I stayed in the shadows not making a sound as I crept around the town, like I had trained my body to do.
My body froze and my muscles tensed as I heard laughter up ahead. I shook it off and continued my walk to my destination. When I arrived I was pleased to see that there weren't all that many people.
The community store was huge, with tall shelves that stretched for what seemed like miles. It made sense we had all of this stuff stocked, considering this was the only store we had in town and the next town over was more than a days walk away.
I grabbed a hand basket and walked to the aisles I knew I needed to be in. It took me around 15 minutes to grab all of the items I needed before I checked out and started my trek home.
As I was nearing my house, I noticed a huge crowd had formed and there was a ton of chatter. All of the girls looked like they had rosy cheeks and they had huge smiles on their faces. Some of the guys were smirking while others were glaring.
What was happening?
Usually, I would have steered clear of all of the commotion but I felt like I was being pulled in. I sighed softly as I set my bags down on the ground close to a wall and strolled over with my hands in my pockets.
I made sure to keep my head down as I walked into the crowd, trying to get at least a glimpse of whatever was happening.
That's when I saw it. Two absolutely beautiful men were being swarmed by the towns folk. The each had multiple women hanging off of their arms as they were bombarded with questions.
