Chapter 153: Chapter 149 New Year, New Start

Alan pulled away the hands on his body, then he took out a bunch of keys, “Don’t you be interested in a Maserati? If your words are true, I will send it to you.”

“It must belong to me.” Ophelia robbed the keys and then walked toward the gate.

She was not hurried, or more precisely, she can’t be too hasty. Yes, she indeed wanted to leave here and sleep with him. But she had been humiliated once, she couldn’t make it happen again. In order not to be drove out, she’s better walk out herself. Anyhow, there were only a few days left from their wedding. In that time, she would be the mistress of the bedroom and she could lie in the bed with him rightfully. Moreover, he never had any reasons to refuse her.

Coming back from Luo City, Alan treated her well as usual. And she pretended to know nothing about the thing between him and Olive. However, every time she reminded it, she would feel so hateful that she even stuck her nails into her palms deeply.

But that would be okay. Everything would be gone. When brother Alan knew the children was not his, he had to accept her and said to her, “let your parents and my parents have a discuss and decide the wedding day.”

At this moment, she finally saw the hope after waiting for so many years.

Alan frowned, knowing it was his mother’s behavior. In the New Year’s Eve dinner, she not only let Ophelia call her mom, but also self-talked that she wanted a grandson as soon as possible, which made him had a headache.

Her intention was so clear to close them together in a room.

However, he quickly hid his mood and then caught a suit of man’s robe for Ophelia, “Go to have a shower first.”

Ophelia was stunned, then she smiled brightly. Did he accept her?

Hugging his rob and walking to the bathroom quickly, she was so afraid that he would regret.

Heart beating quickly and strongly, Ophelia buried her face in the robe. There was his smell on it. He let her leave, not hers asking. The old saying was really right: Every cloud has a siler lining.

Ophelia finished the shower quickly but hesitated in the bathroom for a long time before she went out.

Her face was red somehow, not knowing because of the hot air in the bathroom nor the things that would happen later.

She saw Alan standing on the balcony. It was cold outside, but he only wore a thin nightgown, as if he couldn’t feel cold.

When she closed to him , she found there was a cup of wine in his hand.

“It’s too cold outside, get in, it would be terrible if you get cold in the first day of New Year.” She reminded him gently.

Alan shook the wine, looking up the endless fireworks in the sky, “Don’t you think we should enjoy drinking in this beautiful night.”

“Yes, it’s really beautiful. How about I drink with you?” Ophelia understood his meaning, thinking the beautiful night referred to he and she was together this night.

“Okay.” Alan smiled.

Ophelia turned to catch a cup in the wine cabinet. Seeing there were so many famous wine, she caught one casually, then filled with one cup and took it with that bottle of wine to outside. She clinked with him and had a sip of it, shaking the cup as him, “Brother Alan, do you know how much I like you? I liked you from my young age and have dreamed of being your wife for a long time. I’m really happy now. I know I am willful and have many shortcomings. But I will try to correct those and become your good wife and mom’s sister-in-law.”

“Mom always likes you.” Alan smiled. Then he took a sip of wine again. But the cold light in his eyes were hid by the shining light reflected by the crystal glass.

“Yes, It’s my honor to have such a good mom-in-law.” Ophelia smiled and then drank up the wine in her glass. When she was about to fill another glass, Alan stretched out his hands and covered hers.

“Drinking some wine can beautify for girls, but don’t drink too much, it will hurt your health.”

“Just a little. I’m happy today, a half glass more.” When Ophelia acted coquettishly, her delicate red lips pouted and showed a sense of charming feeling.

“Okay, only half a glass. I don’t want to speed a whole night with a drunk woman.” Alan compromised.

“Just rest assured. How can this little wine make me drunk?” Ophelia poured half a glass and then clinked with him, “Brother Alan, happy New Year, you will have a good starting in this new year.”

“Of course, new year will have a new start.” Alan said meaningfully.

The fireworks exploded suddenly in the sky not far away, just like a fair spreading flowers, and they changed various of shapes and colors.

Ophelia shouted, “Brother Alan, look, it’s so beautiful.”

“Yes.” This night reminded him that blind New Year night. In order to take care of him, she didn’t came home for the first time.

The renters around all went home before the New Year. So when the fireworks exploded in the air that night, that little yard was very cold and lonely. In order to not let him feel lonely, she specially opened the TV which bought from a secondary market. She made the dumplings while talking jokes with him.

She said that she put a coin in a dumpling, they had to be careful when eating, or teeth would be broken.

She also said there was only one dumpling had coin, just seeing who can hit the jackpot.
